I’m interested to hear your strange or unexpected pregnancy symptoms :)

I’m currently 12 weeks and so breathless. It feels like I can’t catch a full breath 😣 apparently it’s the progesterone but not something I expected to have until I had a massive bump!

Also the sneezing - any little thing sets me off 😂

I developed a hugely freckly arse during pregnancy. And they have never gone!

Grew a beard with ds

My feet splayed out into hooves never to recover

The deep, constant, burning desire for carbs. Good lord I ate so many massive bloody jacket spuds.

My leg hair stopped growing.

Nasal/sinus congestion...but only in the evening

Definitely more ear wax than ever before!

I had orgasms in my sleep all the time in my first pregnancy! Always painful though so not actually as enjoyable as it sounds

And yep to nasal congestion!

The aching arms. Couldn’t lift them in early pregnancy. They were my first symptom.

I found a dark hair.... on my nipple!!! Wtf?!?!?! Also,completely agree with the desire for carbs, living off them at the moment!

Definitely a craving for bland carb heavy food. I also craved ice cubes. Would sit and crunch cube after cube. Drove my dh mad. As a warning, if any of you get this, get a test for anaemia.

Downy hair on my belly, but hair on my legs stopped growing. Also had the sleeping orgasm thing...pregnancy is weird!

Rashes all over my legs

I could smell cigarette smoke the entire time. DD2 is 3.5 now and if I smell smoke my first thought is 'am I pregnant?'

A need to eat potato / donuts

Stuffy nose, dry dry lips and night dribbling

OP, your breathlessness might be down to low blood pressure - I had this during my last pregnancy and my blood pressure was ridiculously low. Might be worth mentioning it to your Dr or midwife,

The eczema 😒😒😒

Backne. It's a thing! Never have I had problem skin before but when I was pregnant with my daughter I got acne on my back. It was horrible. I also never have facial hair before but got the most random chin sprouts when I was full of hormones.

Yes, also sleep orgasms - that really really hurt

Fine dark hair on my belly when expecting dc2.
With dc1 I couldn’t eat broccoli it tasted of iron, made me gag.

Nasal congestion and loads of sneezing at first. Leg and eyebrow hair stopped growing but everywhere else growing twice as fast

Now just in pain all the time with ribs and had to stop working at 20 weeks

Yes! This is actually quite annoying and I have had both microsuction and syringing for the first time during this pregnancy and I think they need doing again.
