Your unexpected pregnancy symptoms

I’m interested to hear your strange or unexpected pregnancy symptoms :)

I’m currently 12 weeks and so breathless. It feels like I can’t catch a full breath 😣 apparently it’s the progesterone but not something I expected to have until I had a massive bump!

Also the sneezing - any little thing sets me off 😂

Smells, some I could not stand. My sense of smell was so oversensitive. Must be awful being a dog at times.

@beetlebum1981 ohh when I’m not pregnant and have my blood pressure taken I always get comments on it being low so maybe it’s got worse in pregnancy? I’ll definitely mention it thanks! What’s the treatment for getting to a normal range?

Also everyone yes to the constant carbs - I planned to eat so healthy in this pregnancy but I only fancy plain stodgy stuff.

Also the thirst and dry lips - nothing quenches my thirst!

Yes to the breathlessness! This is my second pregnancy and I had forgot about that. Also the nosebleeds!

In my first pregnancy all of my body hair turned blonde (I'm very dark haired) and I grew a fine down all over my body. I quite liked that actually

The snot. So much snot

Skin tags - they are all over my neck (although thankfully same and not really noticeable!) - had them in my first pregnancy too? They actually seemed to disappear afterwards???

Congestion - I'm having my baby in 2 days and not sure if I'm more excited about meeting baby or breathing though my nose! (Obvs joking) xx

@Moonchild23 I'm exactly the same, low blood pressure normally. They kept an eye on it but I don't think there's much you can do. I got told to take it easy - like that's going to happen when you're working and have a very active toddler 😂 There were a few occasion where I thought I was going to pass out so I just made sure I sat down quickly when that happened and also not standing up too quickly. I don't think they offer any treatment unless it's very, very low. In the end mine went back to normal after a few weeks.

Hairy belly, I’m really fair haired but for some reason the hair on my belly is jet black 😳

Oh and a leaky nipple. Just the right one though.

Temperature sensitivity... I live in a warm, tropical country and for the first time have had to wear hoodies/cardigans because I feel the cold so much more. This was the first thing my husband noticed before we found out- that I kept complaining about the temperature.

Sneezing more and ...stronger?- they have me doubled over, it's weird.

Breathlessness, which comes and goes.

And I'm pretty sure I noticed today the hair on my knuckles is darkening :(

Skin tags also with my first! Don’t think I have any new ones this time round though but I do have horrendous piles that I didn’t have first time round 🤣

I'm constantly boiling - sleeping with the window wide open every night as I wake up dripping in sweat if it's shut. DH keeps sleeping on the sofa as he says our room is so Baltic he lies there shivering unable to sleep!

Gas. Lots of gas. They come out when I'm walking as well it's rather embarrassing.

I keep smelling golden syrup. Just get random whiffs of it a few times a day. No one else agrees

My right thigh has been completely numb for weeks! I cannot feel if I punch or pinch it. It's incredibly annoying (but midwife said it can happen!)

And definitely agree about excess ear wax, mine have got so bad they keep popping and it is driving me absolutely mad.

No sleep orgasms - but I'm horny 24/7 and that is definitely out of character for me haha.

Extremely dry lips that nothing takes away and hairy nipples 🤣🤣
