Hello - I wanted to make a thread for young mums to be. I'm 24 and 6+5 due July 😀

What's the deal with the sickness then? I'm 5+2 and had nausea for a week. Today I had my first 'omg I'm going to puke' moment, in the middle of teaching my year 11s!
I held it back and it passed but now I'm worried to hell it'll happen for real! Does it work like that? Or will I have time to run to the loo? Will it be constant? The stress of being sick is now panicking me and making me feel more sick haha!

Am I too old to join at 25??

First pregnancy and first of any of my friends to ttc let alone get pregnant. Been with DP just over a year but just bought a house together and seems right. Friends will be very shocked as I'd never had a boyfriend before DP (was just never interested in commitment) and now I've bought a house with a little bean on the way! It's been a strange year!

Can i join too? I'm 21 with my first only 7 weeks 6 days. When i told some of my family i was so worried they were gonna be disappointed but they were all happy. Have been with OH 3 years and are currently buying our first house so when i put it like that it doesnt sound too bad x

I've felt better this morning than I have in weeks! I'm 10+5 and have had really severe nausea and sickness for nearly three weeks. Haven't been able to keep anything down really but this morning I have yet to be sick and have managed to eat some toast! I'm pleased but also worried at my sudden disappearance of symptoms. I'm sure all is fine though ☺️

I've seen a few people talking about morning sickness so thought I'd add, I had nausea from 6 weeks until now on and off(worse before 15 weeks, I'm now 18 weeks) and was being so sick all the time until about 15. It was hard to stop it happening but I did manage to get somewhere good to sick most of the time (gross I know) but just rest when you can

SenoraSurf · 07/12/2018 16:26

@Kylieemilyj that's reassuring that it gets better. I'm 5+6 and I'm off work today due to the nausea. Have yet to be sick but the sickness feeling is killing me. I'm usually a tough cookie and it takes a lot for me to take a sick day but just wouldn't have managed today.

@JBCG sucks right?! I'm only early but feel relieved when I wake up and don't feel sick. The worst part as I've only had this for about a week, can't imagine feeling like this up to 10 weeks and beyond!

Got my booking appointment through for next Thursday! Feels early as I'll only be 6+5 then but excited nonetheless. Wonder when the scan will be! Probably after Christmas...booo.

Kylieemilyj · 07/12/2018 19:31

@SenoraSurf I always felt exactly the same, I didnt take a day off sick but i finished early when I could but its okay if you need to take a day or two off, you need to feel as well as you can to work at the end of the day and work cant punish you for it. Just make your manager aware its pregnancy related. Honestly being sick so much takes it out of you

Winona1 · 07/12/2018 22:15

I've been off the past 3 days. I can hardly get out of bed in the mornings but I'm absolutely fine by the afternoon! Think it's time I told my boss...

Heyy,
I'm 20 with a four month old. I didn't tell anyone I was pregnant apart from my family. I then put a post on social media when my son was born ( did a bit of a kylie Jenner)
I was so worried I was going to be judged! Now that my baby is here I couldn't care less xxx
