sirmione16 · 28/11/2018 15:40

22 and 32 weeks, due end of January with my first :)

mommysharkdodo · 28/11/2018 16:23

I'm 24 and 17 weeks pregnant Smile
All my friends and family were over the moon for me when I told them! Everyone is very excited and I don't feel young at all

babystripes · 28/11/2018 17:10

Hey! I'm 27 and 24 weeks pregnant with my second had my first born at 18! So although I may not be a "young mum" now I was 😂

jellybeann · 28/11/2018 17:55

@cw96 oh wow!! my dr said that the pill seems to just be less effective for some people, so perhaps it could be!!

@angharad07 they've been great!! my course is quite practical based, so they've been more than willing to help me with moving heavy things etc. just hoping that it doesn't get too difficult as i get bigger, I'm still hardly showing at the moment!!

blh23 · 28/11/2018 19:58

Where is everyone located? Hope everyone is feeling okay! My sickness has come back, worse than the first trimester. Still waiting for this 'pregnancy glow' 🙄

Kate123cl · 28/11/2018 20:12

I'm from Bristol I hope your sickness eases for you @blh23 x

blh23 · 28/11/2018 20:19

@Kate123cl thank you! So annoying, stopped around 10 weeks and then back around 15!

Kate123cl · 28/11/2018 20:22

@blh23 Mine came back at 15 weeks - 18 weeks and touch wood hasn't been back since (31 weeks now). Only the odd nauseated feeling Smile x

ernjas · 28/11/2018 20:27

Not pregnant but I'm a young mum too.
I just want to say how lovely it is to see a thread dedicated to younger/teen mums on here!! I didn't realise how many other younger mums/mums to be there is!
Congratulations to you all Thanks

sirmione16 · 28/11/2018 20:36

@blh23 the only time I've been complimented with having a "pregnancy glow" was when I was wearing a new foundation designed to enlighten dry skin!. I just smiled and said thanks. Blush at least it works I suppose!

blh23 · 28/11/2018 20:38

@sirmione16 haha, brilliant!

24 and 7+5 with my second pregnancy but, hopefully, first baby. First pregnancy was unplanned 2 months after me and my OH got together and then didn’t go to plan, since then I’ve not felt quite right so we decided to try again hopefully carry a bean to term.

Unfortunately, 2 days after dtd, our dream house came on the market and we decided to go for it but it hasn’t gone smoothly and has caused lots of stress and upset. Add to that the fact I’m self employed and have work and demanding clients coming out of my eyeballs all hours of the day and night (not to mention maternity leave is a no go!)... And then add to that OH having a horrific accident last week which led to a touch and go hospital stay and then a finger amputation(!) - stress is top of my “concerns for the bean” list right now 😩

Just hoping things settle down and my stress doesn’t hurt the development - we don’t know what did last time so I’m scared a bit now 😔

jellybeann · 28/11/2018 22:17

looks like i’m going to be spending this entire pregnancy on anti-sickness meds! i have managed to cut down from 4 tablets a day to 1, but if i try to stop completely i am immediately sick every 30 minutes! so i’m definitely not seeing a pregnancy glow!!😂

@sirmione16 hahaha i love that! at least you know it does what it says on the tin!

Winona1 · 29/11/2018 08:09

@jellybeann did you get prescribed the anti sickness tabs? How do I get my hands on some I can't cope 😭😭

OP posts:
jellybeann · 29/11/2018 08:26

@winona1 ended up in a&e when i was about 16 weeks because i was so dehydrated that i couldn’t get up from the sofa and into bed without collapsing!! was prescribed them at the hospital and have to see gp once a month to renew prescription.

gps definitely don’t like to prescribe them though - the last time i saw them she asked if i had tried not taking them as usually sickness had stopped by now. i said that i had tried but i just began being ill again, and she said that was “hard to believe”!! not sure why i’d lie about throwing up 20 times a day but each to their own😂

have you talked your midwife about it? Xx

beckyxo · 29/11/2018 12:23

@jellybeann @Winona1 have you guys tried anti nausea bracelets? I was completely the same at the beginning and ended up in hospital on a drip. My midwife recommended I try it so I bought a cheap one off Etsy and it has worked wonders for me. I'm 28 weeks now and only being sick a couple of times a week! Yayyy! Hope you guys feel better soon! The sickness is so horrible isn't it xx

Winona1 · 29/11/2018 12:39

Aw thank you @beckyxo never even heard of them!! I'm going to order one now. I'm struggling to plan meals because I can only eat exactly what I feel like at that moment , a girl I sit next to in work has cuppa soups and they are making me gag but I can't tell her why 🙈

OP posts:
Winona1 · 29/11/2018 12:40

@jellybeann my first app is next week so I will ask then thanks hun x

OP posts:
jellybeann · 29/11/2018 15:38

@winona1 definitely try some nausea bands!! they reduced my sickness by about half, so they’re definitely worth it! also if you can, try to eat four or five smaller meals a day so that you’re eating little but often! that helps my nausea massively as well x

Winona1 · 29/11/2018 19:43

Is anyone else feeling really frumpy, spotty and gross in general ? Pregnancy glow is a myth 🙄

OP posts:
SenoraSurf · 29/11/2018 20:08

Hi ladies. I'm 24 and currently 5 weeks.
Very much wanted baby and we're super excited! So Nervous about telling work though as I only started this job in September! X

beckyxo · 30/11/2018 11:55

@Winona1 I totally feel that! Feel like I'm a teenager all over again 😢😩

@SenoraSurf congratulations! It's so scary isn't it! I was so worried telling work and uni but they have been so lovely and supportive! When are you planning on telling them?

Has anyone started planning what pram or car seat to get? There are so many on the market! Think I'm going to wait until the Boxing Day sales to actually get one but wondered what everyone was thinking? At the moment my fave is the Bugaboo Fox xx

Winona1 · 03/12/2018 17:40

Hi girls need some advice - I'm 7+4 and had nausea for around 2 wks but today it's suddenly stopped and so have my food aversions! Is that something I should be worried about? I had a scan on sat and everything was fine... what do you think?

OP posts:
Kate123cl · 03/12/2018 17:48

@Winona1 nothing to worry about I had the same at 9 weeks and was so scared something was wrong! Make the most of it lol x

Winona1 · 03/12/2018 17:53

thanks @Kate123cl I am I can't stop eating 😂 xx
