Help please we have been using condoms and I was due my coil fitted this week as my period was due last Thursday so I’m now 5 days late. But last month I was 10 days late so I haven’t thought much of it, my baby is almost 4 months old so my periods have been very different from before I had him so last month I had taken a pregnancy test which said I was not pregnant which I never thought I was I didn’t feel pregnant I was just ruling it out since I was 10 days late. So this month I had ovulation pain and counted 14 days from that and I’m now 5 days late and thought I can’t be pregnant because we are careful but I bought two cheap tests from Morrison’s and took them both just before. Could they be wrong? I never used cheap tests before

Help please!! My baby is almost 4 months old and I have taken two.....

Sorry they are very much positive and the chances of them both being wrong are slim. Maybe get a clear blue digital to check but I would say you are pregnant.

RLOU30 · 07/11/2018 11:38

Oh god, OP, they are blazing positives. I have a 4 month old too and had to run out yesterday and buy one as I had a panicked moment. I don’t think two tests that strong can be wrong I’m afraid X

ItsLikeRainOnYourWeddingDay · 07/11/2018 11:40

Absolutely 100% pregnant.

xJune88 · 07/11/2018 11:41

They are very strong obvious positives. Sorry OP xx

Santaispolishinghissleigh · 07/11/2018 11:42

I have less than 14 month gap between dc.
You will be more than fine op.

Emz2019 · 07/11/2018 11:42

I’m in shock we have been so careful and I was looking forward to getting my coil as we didn’t want anymore children yet as I have a 1 year old who is very poorly and due back In hospital this month. Iv no idea how I can cope

TheQueef · 07/11/2018 11:43

Congratulations they are positive!

gamerchick · 07/11/2018 11:45

Yeah sorry man, I didn't even have to click to see they are positives.

You do have options if you're open to them. Dont think you're backed into a corner. Good luck Flowers

Tattandthis · 07/11/2018 11:49

1 year old, 4 month old and pregnant?

Oh wow.

You do have options and choices here and you have every right to explore those xx

Buddyelf · 07/11/2018 11:51

You have a 1 year old and a 4 month old?

Emz2019 · 07/11/2018 11:52

He will be two at the end of January then yea my 4 month old and now this. And still no idea how I am going to tell my partner

OP posts:
TokenGinger · 07/11/2018 11:54

That's definitely the most positive test I have ever seen. I really hope you work it out for the best OP xx

gilmoregal · 07/11/2018 12:00

I thought I'd share a similar situation with you OP. My very good friend has two children both planned and close in age when they were 2 and 3 she accidentally fell pregnant despite contraception. At the time her 3 year old was about a year into being diagnosed with Leukaemia and still having chemotherapy. She felt she couldn't manage another baby at this time nor did she think it was fair or right for her attention to be pulled away from poorly three year old and already often 'neglected' two old. I say 'neglected' as she would often be in hospital for seven days with an infection and she'd be there the whole time so felt she often didn't see him enough. She made that decision acting in the best interests of her children which in my opinion makes her an excellent mum.

OP you have options and they are your choice only, but don't feel awful if you decide you can't have another baby at this time.

HollyBollyBooBoo · 07/11/2018 12:15

They maybe cheap but they work. They are clearly positive. Don't want to say congrats because it doesn't feel like it's great news to you. Hope everything works out ok x

Buddyelf · 07/11/2018 12:50

this OP. Hope you are ok.

Sexnotgender · 07/11/2018 12:53

They are very strong positives.

Emz2019 · 07/11/2018 15:29

Thank you everyone I’m still trying to let the news sink in. I have not told my partner yet and Iv been cramping allllllllll day which is why this morning I was so sure I would come on today but last night I had noticed my breasts were a little sore which I thought was odd so then this morning bought a box of two tests. I guess I thought the first one was faulty because I peed all over it by accident and thought maybe pee has leaked through the clear plastic bit. So the next one I peed in a cup and dipped it. I guess I was just hoping they were wrong. I’m not sure what I’ll do my head feels a mess right now

Gosh they are the strongest positives I have ever seen! Sorry I know probably not what you want to hear but I'm sure everything will work out how it's supposed to for you Flowers

showmethegin · 07/11/2018 21:16

@gilmoregal gave really thoughtful kind advice. You do what is right for you. You are obviously a lovely person to be raising your current baby so right so no matter what happens you will be ok. Lots of hugs to you

Emz2019 · 08/11/2018 08:44

Thank you again everyone my head is still all over the place and still not told anyone at all

IceRebel · 08/11/2018 08:53

5 days late and that strong a positive i'd be wondering if it was multiples. I know it's difficult given your situation but I really do think you need to talk to your partner.

Ozziewozzie · 08/11/2018 08:55

...you’ve told all of us on here Grin and so you know you have tonnes of support already. I fell pregnant when my youngest then was 5 mtgs. I was dreading it!! But it actually was so easy. Once the new baby was on his feet the two youngest were inseparable and became best of friends.
It will be easier than twins I imagine, although honestly don’t know how people manage multiple births. It must be really challenging at times.
Let us know how your dp takes the news...the look on his face! Xx

Emz2019 · 08/11/2018 10:01

Lol well I don’t think he will be overly happy as we had said either the coil or he wanted the snip!!! This was only 2 months ago and we had opted for the coil incase we wanted more children but he was quite sure he didn’t but said he would leave our options open by going for the coil and if he still feels the same in a few years he will have the snip. So to tell him there is a pregnancy underway isn’t going to go down to well lol

OP posts:
Butterymuffin · 08/11/2018 10:03

You don't have to go ahead with it OP, and it sounds like your partner would support that.
