I am 11+2 - 11+5. Having problems with my jeans and also combat style trousers and have to keep undoing them. This is 2nd preganancy. With DS I am sure I didnt have these problems so early on. Have not really gained any weight (lost weight in first 8-9 weeks and have just put that back on).

glad you are doing well

yes, we are getting along just fine only the first month of being bak to normal, so feeling more hopeful! 4 months since i had coil out, so not long at all

KristinaM · 18/06/2007 13:48

first preg you stay slim and trim for ...oh...months

second and subsequent pregnancy - you get a little blue line and off pings the button on your jeans

PBirdy · 18/06/2007 13:53

I am nearly 12 weeks and first pregnancy and my jeans still fit but they are uncomfortable across my tum and it is getting harder and harder to such my tum in. I caught my reflection in the bathroom mirror at work and my tummy was sticking right out and I had to really adjust my clothes to hide it.

I must confess I think it might be icecreams for me though I hope it is the little one.

i was about 12 weeks when i got a bit of a baby bump and thankfully the slouch jeans from Next are generous in their sizes. top wise, i was bursting out of them by week 10 and had to get a bigger size. Waited/suffered until i told work at 17 weeks and then spurged on loads of maternity tops. Maternity trousers were too big until I was around 22 weeks and in true Next style, i find it hard to keep the blooming things up.

six weeks with trousers and needed new bras within 4 weeks it was ridicoulous

MrsMar · 18/06/2007 15:31

I finally relented and got in to my maternity trousers at 17 weeks (1st pregnancy) after suffering from tummy ache for ages and my midwife pointing out that it might be to do with wearing trousers too tight! I'm 27 weeks now and still in a mixture of maternity and non maternity tops. Like everyone else here though, I'm still pulling up my (one size smaller) next jeans and trousers, I keep thinking someday soon I'll be so big they'll stay up on their own. I keep catching sight of myself doing a les dawson and absent mindedly hoiking up my jeans! Very ladylike (not!)

MarsLady · 18/06/2007 15:33

Conception!

Whenever I was pregnant my waistbands would instantly tighten. My fundal height was always 7 weeks ahead of itself (singleton or twin pregnancy)

beansprout · 18/06/2007 15:39

Am watching this thread with interest! Am 7 weeks and already some trousers don't fit. I keep reading that I shouldn't have put any weight on yet

MrsBadger · 18/06/2007 15:41

at 12 weeks I needed the next size up trousers, whihc lasted fine till 19wks when I needed mat ones

(H&M and Jojo stayed up best in the early stages, Next came into their own at 26 or so, DP jeans still need elastic through the beltloops at 31 [grrr])

frances123 · 18/06/2007 15:50

I was really uncomfortable in mine from about 11 weeks!!!!!

ejt1764 · 18/06/2007 15:52

About 8 weeks ... but I held off buying a bumpband until I was past my 12 week scan ... am still using it at 25 weeks (both to hold my maternity trousers up ! and to hold my unfastened normal trousers up!)

With ds, I was still in my normal trousers until this point ...

aikigypsy · 18/06/2007 16:13

I'm at 19 1/2 weeks, and some of my regular clothes still fit (the big ones) but I stopped wearing my jeans weeks ago. Mind you, I felt big and was gaining weight, but somehow everything still fit. Except for the bras. That got ridiculous fast, but I hate bra shopping. I was on the very large end of the normal range to begin with (34E) but have now graduated to the special large sizes. Bleh. I'm now 36F, and I'm not sure it will stop there!

aikigypsy · 18/06/2007 16:14

Obviously, this is my first!

Jbck · 18/06/2007 16:44

19 & a bit weeks just now (2nd pg) & I'm still in normal clothes but I reckon I'll only get another couple of weeks out of my trousers before I have to get into maternity ones.
Have bought 3 pairs of trousers/jeans so far all over the bump fold down ones cos they seem to work best althought not glamorous. I haven't bought any maternity tops yet as all the styles are so smocky I'm just going with a lot of them in my normal size, I'll maybe get a couple of proper ones once I'm further on if I can't cover the bump. I was 6.5 months with DD before I showed in clothes.

hoohoo · 18/06/2007 18:51

im 32 weeks with my 3rd and my clothes still fit. i never really look pregnant tho altho i have a bump ish this time but i wasnt a skinny malinky to start with.

BabyMadandBIGbump · 18/06/2007 19:04

About 14 weeks this time and 2nd DC, but first DC about 17/18 weeks!

kinki · 18/06/2007 19:26

Third pregnancy, and never had any maternity clothes (apart from some work uniforms when expecting ds1). Mind you, I must admit I have been wearing more stretchy clothes lately, or my jeans with button undone. (Have had small babies in the past tho).

Princesspowersparkle · 18/06/2007 20:19

Awen- I was about your stage when my clothes got uncomfy and too tight. I ended up buying some trousers from Primark a size bigger that got me through til I was big enough to fit into proper maternity clothes!
PPS (35+3) xx

dal21 · 18/06/2007 21:13

My advice is to initially buy a few items a size bigger (apparently you will wear them post pregnancy too so not wasted, I invested in a pair of jeans initially). Then once the bump becomes more prominent, invest in maternity clothes.
I got maternity trousers/ jeans and tops at about 16 weeks and at 25 weeks - they all still fit a treat (look soo good on my new curves)...and I havent even gone up onto the second or 3rd buttons on the side yet!
Cannot believe so many of you are squeezing into pre pregnancy clothes - ouch! Maternity clothes are just so lovely and comfy! :0

mustrunmore · 18/06/2007 21:17

Ds1... in normal clothes till 25 weeks, then only had to buy one pair of maternity combats.
Ds2....In bigger clothes from 12 weeks, maternity jeans from 14 weeks, and I was enormous.
