Just found out in 4 weeks pregnant with my 2nd rainbow baby. Was pregnant with 1st in August and unfortunately miscarried. Finding it hard to believe I am again and finding it hard to be positive! :(

I've been having some slight bleeding in the past few days so I've had a couple of appointments and I'm booked in for a scan at 6 weeks next Wednesday. I'm not having any pain so I'm trying not to worry. Still tired, hungry and nauseous so the midwife said that's a good sign as my levels should be high. Fingers crossed everything is fine.

stackhead · 09/11/2018 18:16

@Charm23 I'm sure everything will go well in the scan. The fact that you still have symptoms is surely a good sign.

I've booked my first appointment with the midwife today - 6th December, when I'll be 8/9 weeks and have planned a private scan for the 21st December because we want to tell our families over Christmas and I want the picture proof Grin

A bit crampy today and my boobs are sore and have grown! I might finally get the boobs to go with my hips! YAY!

RanchoRelaxo · 10/11/2018 08:19

@Charm23 good luck for your scan, bleeding is so common but I know how scary it is. When I started bleeding last time I had pain and all my symptoms disappeared the same day and I 'knew' in my gut that it was over, so everything that you've wrote sounds hopeful 😘

@stackhead I want picture proof for Christmas too 😁

So I don't really know how many dpo/weeks I am to be honest, and yesterday I had a big freak out because I used a clear blue digital and it still said 1-2 weeks.. but there is definitely line progression on the frers I've been using, and this morning's the test line is slightly darker than the control line. I still have a lot of anxiety but my tests are darker than they ever went last month and are getting darker every 2 days so surely that's a positive sign right?

RanchoRelaxo · 10/11/2018 08:21

@stackhead @cathyj87 how did the doctors appointments go?

How's everyone else today? X

AuntMarch · 10/11/2018 08:37

Doctor took blood pressure and weighed me and got me to pee in a pot to check for any infection, then sent me to book a midwife appointment with reception and said my scan date will come in the post. Suddenly it really felt like it's happening, talking out loud with someone else!

I told my dad and my best friend yesterday, because we were at a funeral which was one of those that turns into a party, and there wasn't any other explanation for not drinking and probably smoking again too (I quit in August but no doubt would have had a few yesterday, it was tough!!), or the fact I couldn't stand people's whisky's being near me on the table lol

cathyj87 · 10/11/2018 08:37

@ranchorelaxo I could have done it on the phone! Didn't even ask me any dates or anything, except to confirm that I had my HSG on the 4th Oct. Then he just referred me to the hospital antenatal care which I'll hear from in a couple of weeks. Such an anticlimax! Up until he shook my hand and said congratulations so u went and told my parents haha

MrsC87 · 10/11/2018 08:41

So today AF was due and it hasn't arrived- so officially 4 weeks pregnant. I've pee'd on 5 tests so far so trying not to for a bit.
Only symptoms I have is metallic taste in mouth, bloating and a bit tired!
Also contemplating an early scan before Xmas...do you still get the 12 weeks one through NHS too?
According to app I'll be 10 weeks 22/12/18, will I be able to have early scan at that stage?

RanchoRelaxo · 10/11/2018 09:01

@cathyj87 haha! Like that he shook your hand, yea it does seem real when you start talking about it outside of the house I think, exciting!

@AuntMarch my mate guessed as soon as she saw me the other day so she's the only one that knows outside of me and DH, feels nice to actually have someone else to talk about it with!

@MrsC87 yea private scans don't affect the NHS ones, which are more in depth anyway as they check for abnormalities, the place near to me has scans from 6 weeks (although they recommend from 7 weeks for the heartbeat) 10 weeks should show a lovely little baby outline rather than a blob and a good heartbeat :) x

MrsC87 · 10/11/2018 09:17

Ahh thanks @RanchoRelaxo reckon I'm going to book. Looked online and in my area it's £80, worth every penny to me!!! 💕
You know I said I wasn't going to pee on more tests, I just found my only digital and got Pregnant 2-3!! Taken a photo to keep reminding myself 🙈😆 so excited!!
How's everyone else feeling today?

stackhead · 10/11/2018 11:39

@ranchorelaxo No Drs appt for me. Its direct to the midwife where I am. So just phoned to get my first appt in December.

It's the weekend that AF is due. Took a bog standard test (not an early detector) this morning and got a really strong line quickly so I might have to start believing this pregnancy thing.

Now just to navigate the 3 Christmas parties coming up!

ContadoraExplorer · 10/11/2018 11:42

Might be slightly TMI but we had sex for the first time since finding out I was pregnant this morning. I have been the the loo twice in the last hour or so and both times there has been some brow spotting (second time a bit more than the first and slightly more liquid in consistency). Google come up with both bad and good info so just wondering if anyone else has had this, in this or previous pregnancies, and if I should do anything about it. I'm not in any pain so am I being sensible in thinking it is just old blood, loosened because of our morning activities, or should I speak to someone about it?

RanchoRelaxo · 10/11/2018 13:58

@ContadoraExplorer I've not experienced that but have read that it's not uncommon to have slight bleeding after sex due to the cervix being quite sensitive during pregnancy. As long as it's brown and not accompanied with pain I would have thought it would be okay. To be honest if it was me I would probably tell my doctor anyway, just for reassurance if anything!

ContadoraExplorer · 10/11/2018 16:27

This @ranchorelaxo I think i'll keep an eye on it tonight/tomorrow and call the doc if it persists. I guess if it's the worst, there's not much I can do about it given it's so early on.

naomibh1 · 10/11/2018 17:57

Congratulations everyone! We found out on Monday so it's early days at 4 weeks 5 days. So obsessed with reading pregnancy books and downloading all of the apps. May keep taking tests and trying to listen to my body as scared of losing it and not realising. Boobs already look and feel so different and the tiredness is kicking in. So so so excited!!!

Anyone else this early shocked by how quickly your body is changing? We can't believe how different my boobs feel already. It's crazy!

MrsC87 · 10/11/2018 18:24

Hi @naomibh1 and congratulations!
I'm the same, it's still sinking in. Feel so tired already and boobs have grown loads!!
What apps have you downloaded? x

naomibh1 · 10/11/2018 21:37

@mrsc87 thank you, congrats to you too!! Pregnancy+ which I think is pretty good, tried baby centre but prefer p+. Squeezy for my pelvic floor, Mumsnet and a few for pregnancy workouts...busy four days 😂 have you got any?

So funny, I'm thinking maternity bra shopping next week it's madness - even my nipples shocked me at their size!

When's your due date?

MrsC87 · 11/11/2018 08:54

@naomibh1 I've just downloaded the ones you said but like Ovia Pregnancy App too!
My due date according to the apps is 20th July 2019- yours? x

minniecat2406 · 11/11/2018 08:59

@Delilah7 I was on the very first TTC thread and remembered you and your earlier loss. I was so sorry to hear of it but so happy for you now! Everything crossed for you! I've just had my 20 week Smilexx

RanchoRelaxo · 11/11/2018 09:23

Congratulations @naomibh1 😁

Delilah7 · 11/11/2018 09:41

@minniecat2406 awwww thank you. Yeah was difficult. Still nervous now. Congrats!! Xxx

MrsC87 · 11/11/2018 10:56

Anyone else finding their jeans are a little snug? Feel very bloated today!! xx

Delilah7 · 11/11/2018 11:01

Awfully scared now. Realised apps and doctors go off 28 day cycle. I am 33 days. So scared I'll go to my early scan and be 4 weeks since ovulated not actually 6 weeks 2 days. I'm so stressed now and confused 😭😭

OP posts:
ContadoraExplorer · 11/11/2018 12:01

@delilah7 some online calculators ask what your cycle length is so maybe find one that takes it into account?

naomibh1 · 11/11/2018 12:01

@MrsC87 I'll give that one a go too - early days so nice to see what's good before picking. Isn't it slightly mad how all thought consuming it is even at such early days! I've woken up with an even bigger bust today - at this rate I'll need new bras this week! According to the app 15th July. It's going to be a long 35 more weeks!

Thank you @RanchoRelaxo - congrats to you too! When are you due? X

RanchoRelaxo · 11/11/2018 13:24

@naomibh1 am not 100% on dates, I think sometime mid July, found out I was pregnant again month after a MC without having a period in-between so I'm guessing a bit!
