Just found out in 4 weeks pregnant with my 2nd rainbow baby. Was pregnant with 1st in August and unfortunately miscarried. Finding it hard to believe I am again and finding it hard to be positive! :(

@SunshineAndRainbows6 I have no reason this time to think negative so I'm trying not to. I'm further than I ever was before so that's a good sign!! Wow that's fine quick. Xx

Hi,

Can i say hello! Got my BFP yesterday at 10DPO so super early! Although due to my long cycles (33-35 days) I'm apparently already at Week4 Day6 - EDD 25th July

Period due at the weekend so I'll wait until next week before I phone the midwife for an appointment.

It's my first ever BFP and came the first month after proper knuckling down with ovulation sticks after "not preventing" for 9 months.

The cramps have stopped now (which is terrifying now they've gone, was scary when they were here too). But super bloated and getting headaches everyday.

I'm so scared of something going wrong so keeping my fingers crossed for a proper sticky egg.

Hi ladies. I've just had a call after self referring yesterday and they've given me an appointment with a midwife on 21st Nov which they said should only take 20mins. I think she mentioned that I'd get another appointment which makes sense as I'd only be 7+2 and I'm sure I've read that the first midwife appointment is meant to take an hour? What could this be for?

MrsC87 · 07/11/2018 15:02

Hi @stackhead snap, I got my BFP yesterday too on 11dpo and due this Saturday! Congrats!!
I also had cramps Mon & Tues and they have now stopped. I'm still in shock and just hoping AF doesn't arrive on Sat. I'll feel better then! xx

Delilah7 · 07/11/2018 15:05

@Charm23 maybe could be something about history or what you put in your form? Just an idea xxx

I called today and also got an appointment on 23rd Nov which will be 20 mins. Apparently they will do blood tests but I don't know other than that @Charm23 xx

Charm23 · 07/11/2018 15:21

Oh God. I hate blood tests. I'm needle phobic. I have to have the numbing cream (yes the one they use for kids!). She didn't mention taking blood to me on the phone? I should have asked to make sure! Grr. I'm already having a blood test tomorrow for thyroid-related stuff so I might ask if they'll take some extra then to prevent a second blood test. I wish I wasn't scared of needles :(

stackhead · 07/11/2018 17:50

@MrsC87 I know. I think once this weekend has gone by without AF showing up I might start believing it a bit more. I almost dread everytime I have to go to the loo!

cathyj87 · 07/11/2018 20:03

I'm feeling the same as quite a lot of you, kinda not believing I'm actually pregnant so took a third test today after 2 on Friday and still positive! Woohoo! The hubby and I keep talking about it but it's not sinking in at all! Every time I go to the loo I'm nervous about seeing blood, trying to stop that

RanchoRelaxo · 07/11/2018 20:16

I don't really know when this anxious feeling will go away? 😂 Am going to have an early scan all being well so hopefully that will help!

Delilah7 · 07/11/2018 20:19

@RanchoRelaxo that's why I've caved and booked one for next week hahaha

OP posts:
RanchoRelaxo · 07/11/2018 20:44

Ah I don't blame you @Delilah7 how many weeks will you be for it? I've seen one local for £79 which seems expensive but I honestly think I will feel much better after (all being well anyway)

cathyj87 · 07/11/2018 21:53

Possibly a stupid question but how do you get an early scam and how early is too early? If I'm right I'll be 12 weeks on Xmas eve and I really don't think we'll believe it til we see it on a screen so would be well up for paying for a scan!

ContadoraExplorer · 07/11/2018 22:06

@cathyj87 from what I've read they can detect a heartbeat at 7 weeks so that probably a time to aim for. My NHS scan isn't until 31st Dec (bang on 12 weeks on my app) but we've got a private scan booked for the 19th (£39) so I can be happy everything seems ok before we tell family at Christmas.

cathyj87 · 07/11/2018 22:30

Just had a wee Google search and found some places, cheapest seemed to be £79 so guessing they just like to stick the arm in here for charging in NI!

Jennfentz · 08/11/2018 00:58

I'm the same.. found out today that I'm 4 weeks pregnant and although we stopped 'not trying' a couple of months ago we're both so shocked and scared!

Delilah7 · 08/11/2018 06:22

@RanchoRelaxo only 6weeks and a few days. But possibility of seeing a heart flutter. If not I can go back for free the week after! X

OP posts:
HayleyHaystack · 08/11/2018 07:20

I’m 6 weeks today but will wait to get to 8 weeks before the scan. Reason being is that if you scan too early the heartbeat may not have developed properly yet so you’ll go away feeling worse.

Delilah7 · 08/11/2018 07:31

@HayleyHaystack I don't think I will personally just seeing baby after having a MC in August will be wonderful for me and they have reassured me that it's not abnormal to not see one or to see one so I'll just go back the week later! x

Delilah7 · 08/11/2018 07:33

However that's just me personally after my last experience!

Morning ladies! So AF would have been due tomorrow and feel so sick, headache and so tired! Work is such a struggle today. Can't believe I may have 12 weeks of this 😳 hoping these symptoms are good signs hormones are flowing and little bean is bedding in nicely 🤞💕

@Delilah7 I'm also contemplating an early scan. Going to wait until first midwife appointment to know dates etc.

Hope you are all well ladies?

stackhead · 08/11/2018 15:09

AF due for me on Sunday. Took another test this morning and still pregnant Smile only symptoms are sore boobs, bloating and a heavy feeling. Which are all AF symptoms too!

It'll be a nervy few days here.

AuntMarch · 09/11/2018 07:05

Have my initial doctor appointment today but I assume that'll just tell me what other appointments I need to make. It's been the longest week ever since finding out! I hope it doesn't all go this slow!

cathyj87 · 09/11/2018 08:09

Me too @auntmarch! BPF last Friday, heading to go now. Good luck!

ContadoraExplorer · 09/11/2018 08:59

Good luck to you both! x
