6 +4 feeling so sick! Can't stomach anymore cordial and my one coffee a day makes me sick now too! Confused any suggestions for a nice hot drink with no caffeine and not a lot of sugar, I have tried horlicks and way too much sugar for my liking! Thanks in advance x

Most herbal/fruit teas apart from green tea (although the caffiene content is low in green tea) Hot water and a slice of lemon is good and ginger is good for nausea so you could get some fresh ginger and grate that into a mug

Have you tried cocoa without sugar?

ChocolateChipMuffin2016 · 29/10/2018 14:59

I drink peppermint tea or red bush! I've gone off tea a bit atm!

LifeBeginsNow · 29/10/2018 15:00

Have you tried just boiled water? It's got the comfort of a hot drink but nothing in it to make you feel poorly.

It took me two cups and now I'm hooked! I used to drink a lot of coffee to get me through the day and a few cups of tea. I had a day or two with a headache but fine now.

Pukka Three Ginger tea was about all I could stomach. Although be aware that drinking it will probably get you some knowing looks from colleagues!

Red bush tea with milk is pretty much like "normal" tea. I drink it all the time. Best is Tick Tock or Teapigs (more expensive and naturally sweeter as blended with honeybush). Yum.

snoopy18 · 29/10/2018 15:11

I could only stomach ginger tea fresh ginger with some honey or brown sugar 😂

OhFlipMama · 29/10/2018 15:12

I like hot squash - orange, blackcurrant etc. Make them weak if you can't stomach strong flavours.

iforgotwhatiwasgoingtosay · 29/10/2018 15:54

I like warm apple high juice, or Red bush tea/ Rooibos just like a sweeter version of normal tea!

Decaf tea with no sugar x

ThatsNotEvenAWord · 29/10/2018 16:06

Barleycup is nice. You can get it from health food shops. It’s sort of like coffee but not, you drink it with milk.

ThatsNotEvenAWord · 29/10/2018 16:06

Or decaf earl grey tea with no milk, I lived off that in my first trimester

Stephisaur · 29/10/2018 16:09

I just switched to decaf :)

Decaf tea

Jezebelz · 29/10/2018 16:58

All the Pukka teas got me through my pregnancy.

The three mint is also good and the chamomile and Manuka honey.

There are two turmeric ones that are surprisingly delicious - the majestic one has a small amount of caffeine and turmeric active is caffeine free.

I've heard you're not supposed to overdo it with liquorice tea in pregnancy as it lowers blood pressure.

Melamine · 29/10/2018 17:51

Gareth Gates coconut tea Cuppanut is delicious - really pricey but I just think of all the money I’m saving on wine 😉

5tarlight · 29/10/2018 19:58

Yorkshire decaf tea is pretty nice, I can't tell the difference. Decaf azera instant coffee not bad either when you fancy it again. Not a big fan of herbal teas but there are tons out there to try.

Racecardriver · 29/10/2018 20:01

T2 have a nice selection of fruit, herbal and, floral teas. Roobois or Redbush is also caffeine free.

Bovril

PhilomenaDeathsHeadHawkMoth · 29/10/2018 20:04

Bovril?

Fink · 29/10/2018 20:05

Another vote for redbush. I drink it by the bucketload. I'm sure it tastes pretty much like regular tea but I haven't had that for so long that I've forgotten what it tastes like.

Also another vote for plain boiled water from time to time.

Decaf coffee (not instant). Half a teaspoon of marmite dissolved in hot water.

If they're not too sweet, then hot Ribena a x hot chocolate.
