6 +4 feeling so sick! Can't stomach anymore cordial and my one coffee a day makes me sick now too! Confused any suggestions for a nice hot drink with no caffeine and not a lot of sugar, I have tried horlicks and way too much sugar for my liking! Thanks in advance x

I second Yorkshire tea decaf and hot chocolate, I feel addicted to hot chocolate at the moment. I've found that a lot of instant hot chocolate isn't sweet enough for me, so they might be okay.

I drank a lot of chai tea while I was sick of decaf coffee. Not all chai is safe in pregnancy though so do check. I think the ones I have are Pukka vanilla chai. I just had it with soya milk and it was perfect.

I’ve just bought a Teapigs rhubarb and ginger tea, and consumed nearly two cups of it. That’s a record for this pregnancy! It’s pretty gentle in flavour (the ginger isn’t too spicy), and neutral enough that it’s not objectionable, while flavoursome enough that it tastes nice.

It’s a bit expensive, but I’m mostly worrying about actually finding things I can get down at the moment...

I lived on ovaltine, warm milk, chocolate milk, and milk whilst pregnant - can you guess what my main craving was?! Got through bloody gallons every week Grin

Hot water with a generous slice of lemon is very refreshing and feels like you’re holding on to a comforting mug of tea.

I’ve been having a matcha latte a day. Not close to when I take my vitamins though as apparently matcha impedes the absorption of folic acid.

I had my first trimester during the heatwave so was totally off hot drinks - perhaps I would have been anyway - but I've always had a huge stash of decaf teas anyway. Try the Tick Tock earl grey rooibos, Clipper Snore & Peace, or Taylors of Harrogate rose lemonade tea which is made with hibiscus - sweet, tart and fruity but not too sweet.

Boltoncasey24 · 01/11/2018 19:00

It's got so much worse now, I can only drink lemonade and I have completely gone off food aswell, this morning I ate some shredded wheat and then threw it straight up again, there is no food that I can eat without feeling nausea, I've tried pasta baked potatoes, plain things i dont know wether or not i should go see a doctor as im still waiting on a call from the midwife still.. i feel so fed up and knackered because of it 😪

I’m stomaching cheese bread and lemonade, but if I eat too much I feel sick, not enough and I feel sick. Sucks. But it doesn’t last, gp may prescribe something defo worth a visit - good luck Flowers

I've just had a large gin (sorry not rubbing it in) so can't read all the above replies, but if anyone's not said it - buy fresh mint i.e. A mint plant and have a fresh mint tea! So good. Or lemon balm if you're feeling like a gardener

Spargle · 01/11/2018 20:12

@Boltoncasey24 it definitely sounds like time for a visit to the doctor. I’m sure you can survive for a while without eating, and it probably won’t harm your baby, but just not dying isn’t really enough, IMO! Hopefully your GP can prescribe something to make you feel a bit more like a functioning human, and leave you just feeling a bit rough (or - imagine this - OK). Good luck!

I have either decaf coffee or hot vimto x

Canders · 01/11/2018 22:09

I have to have a hot chocolate every morning before anything else... seems to settle my sickness and set me up for the day.
