I'm currently 10 weeks pregnant and in the throes of horrible morning sickness. There's nothing I can think of that I want to eat or drink - everything repulses me.

I've decided to try to be a bit positive and think about what I'm going to eat when my appetite returns and I can keep food down.

I've persuaded DH that we have to go to Nando's the minute I feel better, and I'm going to have something hot and smothered in peri-peri sauce.

What does everyone else have in mind? What did you eat when your sickness finally subsided?

I am 28 weeks and not sick anymore, but I am so looking forward to posh crackers, pâté and a dry martini!

MadamePeony · 08/10/2018 15:37

30 weeks and can't wait to eat Brie, Pate, really cold white wine and a rare steak!!

R7589 · 08/10/2018 15:47

@MadamePeony I second your Brie and white wine! My due date is 13th December so I know what my Xmas dinner will be! 😁

TokenGinger · 08/10/2018 15:48

I would love a rare steak!!

Singerleon · 08/10/2018 15:53

OP I understand completely. Just over 12 weeks here and I’d hoped it would be a bit better now. I just want to eat something nice and tasty and not feel like throwing up after. EVERYTHING makes me feel ill at the money, even toast!

Singerleon · 08/10/2018 15:53

*moment - can’t even type!

Yakadee · 08/10/2018 15:54

Pate!!!

user1489659822 · 08/10/2018 16:04

Nandos when I feel less sick in this pregnancy, and steak and white wine when I'm no longer preg!

Firstbornunicorn · 08/10/2018 16:12

@Singerleon has your doctor given you anything for sickness? Mine wants me to go in, but I can't make it there without being sick about 40 times on the way. Equally, I can't go to work without throwing up all day... It does seem to be reduced if I just lounge about on the sofa all day, but that is getting mighty boring.

@Yakadee gosh I love Paté. Only another 6.5 months to go...

I think I demanded either a Nando's or an Indian. Something non-bland!

Now that the sickness has passed, spicy food gives me heartburn. I'm not happy about it but refuse to give up my spice so suffering through it! Grin

Once this baby is out though, I'm having a Medium Steak, some Pate and a G&T!

Firstbornunicorn · 08/10/2018 17:16

@Stephisaur I think I'm gonna have to have a second Christmas once the baby is born, with Paté, Bucks Fizz, Brie, Bailey's and whatever else 😂

Stephisaur · 08/10/2018 17:34

@firstbornunicorn don’t blame you!!

Yakadee · 08/10/2018 17:38

@Firstbornunicorn - 16 weeks to go! X

SoyDora · 08/10/2018 17:40

R7589 I’m actually jealous of your due date, mine is the 28th and I’m gutted at the thought of a Christmas with no gooey cheese and lovely cold white wine!

Chocodrops · 08/10/2018 17:40

My DH asked me what food I'd like after the birth in February.

A pack of Parma ham and a wheel of Brie 😋

SoyDora · 08/10/2018 17:41

The night DD1 was born I was home with a glass of champagne and a platter of cheese and cured meats Grin

CaramelAngel · 08/10/2018 17:41

14 years ago i remember enjoying pate and camembert after having dd1. (You were advised against that then- the guidance may have changed since then)

LisaSimpsonsbff · 08/10/2018 17:43

Lots of sympathy to you! I had my little boy three months ago and I ate brie sandwiches for lunch every single day for the first week of his life!

Treaclepie19 · 08/10/2018 17:57

A proper curry and prosecco. Last pregnancy I didn't really miss alcohol. This time I sort of do. I think its the thought of being pregnant over Christmas :p

lmj25 · 08/10/2018 17:58

A steak and rose wine

LisaSimpsonsbff · 08/10/2018 18:07

I'd actually sort of forgotten I was pregnant last Christmas until I read this thread - oh the cheese I shall eat!

moleeye · 08/10/2018 18:27

I have gestational diabetes and am 16 weeks pregnant.

I am currently writing a list of things I plan on eating as soon as #2 is out which consists of (in no particular order):

Toasted Brie, bacon and onion panini
All manner of chocolate
A hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream
Apple turnovers
Egg custard tarts
Coffee and walnut cake
Chocolate brownies
Toasted white bread with lots of butter
Toasted crumpets as above
Pasta
Pizza
Fizzy sour sweets

Reckon that will do for my hospital bag for now!! 😂

AussieMum28 · 08/10/2018 18:35

I had Mexican and ate it for 2 nights in a row because I'm was so happy I could eat again. I actually nearly cried!

Noodles14 · 08/10/2018 19:39

I'm due 4th January so if baby does come on time and hence I miss out on all the Christmas delights I've already told my OH that I want a belated Christmas dinner consisting of camembert, pate, brie, Parma ham and red wine 🍷😂
