We have been trying 8 months and I realised today that my period was a day late. Took a test and nearly fell over from shock with I saw two little lines! We're so happy! Anyone else due June 2018? It's a little early as I'm due the 1st!

Swisbest2 · 26/11/2018 19:00

Thankyou all for your support. I know ive been a nightmare. I know that this probably wont stop but i feel less crazy when i see you are all having similar fears. I felt like leaving as i was waitkng dor half an hour and was talking myself out of it. Then as aoon as she put thing on tummy i saw it stretching out and i cried and laughed and disnt really care about anything else. Both nurse and trainee spent a good 30 mins trying to get right angle but they were getting quite cross with baby being uncooperative. Quite funny. Just like mum lol

Squiff70 · 26/11/2018 22:27

Great pic @Swisbest2! It's amazing isn't it?

Here're mine from last week (twins). Scan pic was taken at 12+1 but the biggest twin was measuring at 13 weeks!

carlyb · 28/11/2018 20:35

Congrats @Swisbest2 and @Squiff70 beautiful!!!!!

Swisbest2 · 28/11/2018 20:56

Thanks @carlyb how are you?

carlyb · 29/11/2018 16:26

@Swisbest2 I am doing ok thanks! Terrible pain in my leg so somedays I can walk properly and others I can't!
Do you feel better now you've had your scan?!!! How did you feel on Monday? Xx

Swisbest2 · 29/11/2018 19:19

Oh thats horrible @carlyb mine just feel like dead if im even going up one flight of stairs. I do but obviously concerned that if anything goes wrong now it will be a lot more traumatic physically. Cant help myself 😑 thinking the worst all the time.

Mon i was kind of numb and felt a bit like i was going to have my fears confirmed. I could barely speak. I thought id have to see nurse first again then wait and go in but i just went straight in and lead down in this little dark room ready to hear my fate. I was shaking until the image came up of this (relatively) huge MOVING thing! Just couldnt believe it. Still cant. Just taking each day as it comes now.

Greggers2017 · 03/12/2018 11:59

How is everybody getting on?

Iswallowtoothpaste · 03/12/2018 12:33

Good thanks @greggers.

Have another scan tomorrow (should be about 14 weeks) and am going to have the screening done then too. Quite anxious but looking forward to it all the same. How is everyone else?

Swisbest2 · 04/12/2018 06:54

Squiff70 · 04/12/2018 10:56

Hi everyone. Today I'm 14+1 with twins. I can't believe how fast the time is flying! We've got out private scan on 22nd December when I'll be 16+4. I just hope both babies comply as we're having a Christmas/gender reveal party that same afternoon with friends and family!!

carlyb · 04/12/2018 11:00

@Greggers2017 really struggling with headaches at the moment...had yesterday off and come home from work early today too.
How are you doing?!
@Squiff70 amazing!!!! Let us know how you get on xx

Swisbest2 · 04/12/2018 14:38

Same here with headaches @carlyb and worse nausea now thought it was supposed to get easier! Lol

@squiff70 crazy how much quicker its going now isnt it? Only feels like yesterday i was waiting to get to double digits!

Greggers2017 · 04/12/2018 17:37

@carlyb I'm not too bad, been having headaches too but that's normal for me, just can't take my normal medication for them.
Had my 12 week scan yesterday, I am 11+6 today. Baby was very wriggly. My anxiety was through the roof yesterday morning but all good now.

Anybody else getting pins and needles quite often in their feet when they are sat down?

14 week scan went well. Still no measurements as baby was being a little monkey and had his/her back towards us! So off for the quad test at 16 weeks

Hello ladies! He's my scan from a couple of weeks ago (13 weeks). I'm now at 14+5 and my bump had just popped. People at work can't believe it! It's my first so I don't really know what to expect but it seems much too big! Anybody else big?

OP posts:
Greggers2017 · 05/12/2018 21:08

@Nillynally I'm 12 weeks today and I'm huge. It is my third though but I can't ever remember being this big at this stage

Swisbest2 · 08/12/2018 07:02

@nillynally im definitely not able to suck it in anymore and those who know say its obvious now esp after eating- anything! So surreal. Ante natal nurse said that because i was so slim one day ill wake up and it will just pop out lol. Wondering whether ill be comfortable e ough to wear anything figure hugging at hristmas get togethers or whether ill still just look like ivs put on a few pounds 😂

TakingtheLeap · 08/12/2018 12:36

Congratulations to everyone on their wonderful scans! I had mine on Thursday and it went very well. I'd had an early scan after some bleeding at 9 weeks and it was so amazing to see how much development had gone on in just three weeks.

Interestingly the 12 week measurements put me ahead of the 9 week ones IYSWIM but they said they'd stick with my due date from 9 weeks because the earlier the scan (after 8 weeks) the more accurate for dates.

Wee thing was wriggling around so much the photos are a bit blurry! But I still can't stop staring at them.

Relatively speaking I had a very easy first trimester but am getting my energy back now - and feeling truly round! Glad to be able to tell people so I can get back to my normal clothes rather than hiding in (uncharacteristic for me) baggy jumpers.

My only worsening symptom is very specific localised back pain to the left of the base of my spine. Has anyone else had this? I'm a bit worried about PGP - but am going to wait until uterus has properly risen out of pelvis to see if it might just be first trimester pressure whilst everything is low down.

Swisbest2 · 15/12/2018 16:02

Hows everybody doing? Ive def got a bump now at 16 weeks was trying to hide it until 20 weeks but getting harder 😂
