Just got Very first BFP!! Due May 2019 anyone else??

Just wanted to start a new thread for anyone who has just got their BFP.
What do I do now?
When do I phone the Drs?

@cowchickenduckdog wow that's really cool, I always take my vitamins after dinner, and I haven't had any sickness at all, I'm 8 weeks tomorrow. I'd never heard that but hopefully that's what's doing the trick!

Definitely getting waves of extreme tiredness where I can't stop yawning and tender heavy boobs, but that's about it. Sometimes some cramping when I stand up from a long time sitting down.

Have my booking appt for the 15th when I'll be 10-11 weeks, and hopefully will get the appointment for the scan very close after that. Trying to wait it out even though it's so nerve wracking!

Has anyone told work yet? I'm not planning to until at least 10 weeks (currently 7+3) or even 12 if I can hold out that long. It's hard not to be super irritable however as feeling so tired. One of my collegues are full of cold too with a hacking cough and it's making me feel really ill listening to her. It wouldn't normally guessing it's cus i'm more sensitive :( Hope I don't catch it either, i'm tired enough as it is!

@lovewinemorethanhusband Nurse sounds positive, I hope you've got some reassurance from it.

@india1819 I haven't told work planning not to tell them till about Christmas time I think, gonna try hold off till at least 12 weeks anyway. Oh no I hope you don't catch that cold, I don't like it when people come to work ill.

Anyone else been hit with nausea? I have been, yesterday felt so nauseous all day only really lifted at night, today isn't quite as bad but still feeling sicky.

I won’t be able to hold off any later than 12 weeks telling my boss as I know she’ll find it hard to cover me so want to give her as much notice as possible (not big headed just the role I do!)

I’d like to hold off telling others though until closer to Christmas. Although I’ll be 20 weeks about the time we break up and it’s been pretty obvious for some of my friends by then so suppose it depends how much I show

Ive told my boss and my closest work colleague. I'm in the same boat @India1819 it may take them a while to figure out what the best thing to do is, whether it is to have a shift around of responsibilities within the company or to hire someone new. If it's someone new they'll probably have to train with me for a few weeks. I also figured there was no point hiding it from my boss because if something did go wrong and I had to have time off she would know anyway. And just wanted to tell my work bestie cuz I just wanted to share it with her out of excitement!

@India1819 I had to tell my boss as I have a trip abroad. (Holiday / work). Ill probably spend the flights throwing up and had to let him know in case of problems.

He was terrific. But I haven't told anyone else or work colleagues. Not until after the 12 weeks scan (8th Nov). Only my best mate knows (other than DH).

I think I'll tell my boss after my scan at 7 weeks all going well. Im away this week, and not in much next week but otherwise id tell her sooner. Just because of the nature of my job and needing to avoid certain patients, like those who could be violent.

I've not told work yet, I will wait as long as possible although I'm extremely bloated!!! I was never bloated with my first but right now I look like I did at around 15 weeks with my 1st!

I've told my boss, he's a good friend though. If it was a bigger company/didn't get on I probably would've kept schtum.

My best friend and her DH are the only others to know.

I wouldn't be surprised if others guess soon though, I'm bloated and look about 12 weeks haha. Doesn't help that I still have a pouch from DD1!

Bloating seems to be a theme. My belly is massive but full of gas 😆. Loving my boobs. Gone up a cup size already 💃🏻

Yes the huge boobs too!! My tummy is huge, I did mention to DH it might be twins jokingly and he turned grey!

My tummy is huge too, I'm not the thinnest person, but I definitely already look pregnant. The boobs definitely help in the feeling pregnant department. Just bought a new bra last week and it's already uncomfortable!

Starting to get even more excited with every passing day now but still over 2 weeks to wait until my 1st appointment!

My DH has been commenting on my boobs but I didn’t know if it was just wishful thinking!! I’ve already put on 3lb 😫 think that’s my fault tho, I’ve just been dancing so much beige can’t face anything too flavoursome.

I've just weighed myself and put on 1lb already. I'm assuming it's on my boobs and not my backside

@RiverMeadow how far are you? 3lb and i'm only 7+4! I read you should only put on 1-5lb the whole of the first trimester so I need to go steady or i'll regret it the other side when I need to loose it. I just want bland food atm!

@rivermeadow, by LMP I'm 6+4 but as my cycles aren't always the same and I had a negative when I was supposedly 6 days late took til 9 days to get a positive the nurse thinks I've ovulated and conceived later so only around 4ish weeks so just praying that's true , got HCG levels again in the morning and scan next Friday

Ok that makes sense. Fingers crossed all is ok at our scans x

Bloods went well today, they were really pleased at the increase they wouldn't tell me the start reading but the nurse slipped out my end read was 12,852 which she said was really good got a scan on Thursday to check growth
