2 miscarriages this year and pregnant again. Very nervous

Hi all

We have been through 2 miscarriages this year and have found out we are pregnant again 😄
We are both thrilled to be expecting but I can’t stop thinking that I will miscarry again. Has anyone been in a similar position and been 3rd time lucky? X

How early were your mc? Can you have an early scan?

Yes it was lucky third (and fourth) time for me - hope the same for you

They were both 6 weeks.
I have an early scan booked for next week when I should be 7 weeks. My EPAU were very good in letting me have an early scan. X

I had 2 MMC's and found out I was pregnant again a few month ago, I'm now 22+2 weeks pregnant with a healthy little girl, I was so convinced that things where going to go wrong again, but it seems I was so wrong, fingers crossed for you!!

Yes! Currently bfing my little one born after two miscarriages. The terror of losing the pregnancy didn't go away but it did ease. I tried to follow the advice that you shouldn't let a miscarriage steal the joy from a subsequent pregnancy. Not sure I managed that tbh but good luck to you op. Really hope this is your take home baby

My three were all at six weeks but the last two I only found out at a 12 week scan. This time I had a scan at 6.5, 9, 11 then the regular 12 week one. Sonographer said 6 week mc are usually just not viable ie duff egg or genetic issue. I’m hoping having had a normal 12 week scan that everything is still going fine, but I doubt I’ll last till 20 week scan, I’m going to ask at 17 weeks. I can’t help but feel fatalistic about it. Mc really does steal the joy from pregnancy!

Five years ago now, I had a MMC at 10 weeks and had an ERPC in May. Then a CP in July. Then found out following Jan that I was expecting again. Had my son following Sept.

Congratulations . I had a MMC in May last year and another in November. Both beyond heartbreaking. I’m now 28+3 with a healthy little boy so it was definitely third time lucky for me . Hope it is for you too.

Congratulations! I had one healthy pregnancy followed by mc at 11 weeks and blighted ovum at 9. I’m now 9+3. Midwife sent me for reassurance scan last week and all looked well! I’m just starting to let my guard down and enjoy this pregnancy though don’t think I will until I get well past the 12 week scan!

I had two 1st trimester miscarriages last year and am now 20 weeks pregnant.

I had massively more symptoms this time around which did reassure me but until I passed 12 weeks I was obviously nervous. At the 12 week scan the sonographer said she remembered me from the EPU.

I definitely have more symptoms this time round which is helping me to stay positive.
I have an early scan next Friday so I’m hoping to see a heartbeat.
Keep taking clearblue digital tests which is such a waste of monday but was so pleased today as I have gone from 1-2 weeks to 2-3 weeks.

Hi i have three children 15,13,3 and were all good pregnancys then last year i lost my little noy at 19+4 ,im now 20+ 1 ,everything ok so far but i cant do it again .im getting sterlised after this one as i live in fear daily

Well we have our early scan tomorrow afternoon. Unfortunately my symptoms disappeared today and have had some brown discharge etc whilst wiping today.
Struggling to stay positive ahead of scan tomorrow. X

Weeks am absolutely terrified I got this today sorry if it’s gross but scared of misscarrage

Two miscarriages this year as well. On my fourth pregnancy now and all is well.
I had 0 symptoms this time around until about 8 weeks where I wanted to nap and that stopped at 12 weeks.

Can you get an early scan at all? Were I am if you have 2 miscarriages you are scanned early for your next one.

Just came from hospital said my hcg is 400 but too early too see anything so have to hav another blood test see if hcg has increased so scared scan didn’t say anything but said uterus is thick everything looks healthy they keep Saying a miscarriage can happen but they’ll keep an eye on it so thank u all so much xxx

That’s good news. Keep positive! 400HCG sounds good for 1-2 weeks, I was only 130ish when I was that far gone last time.

We have just had our scan and a little heart beat was found. Still very early days, they think I’m 6 weeks so plenty of rest to try and get myself to the magical 12 week mark. X

That’s great Dancer! Do your dates match theirs? Mind you, easy to be a few days behind if you ovulated late etc.

They are saying 6 weeks and I would say 6-7 weeks so maybe a couple of days out but not letting that stress me out now.
It’s the furthest we have ever got so for us it’s really positive to just see a heartbeat xx
