Hi

I'm 4 weeks post mc waiting for af.

Can't stop thinking about everything and wondering if I'll get pregnant again, then worrying what I'll do if I do!

Anyone else in similar boat?
I feel like my mc was so different from any I've read about I only bled for a day but had weird spotting since.

I envy your day bleed....
Both mine lasted a week.
This may sound funny, but have you done a test or been checked to make sure it was a mc?

You will get pregnant again! The af wait is the hardest. And the worry when you are pregnant again....
My last one was a long 4 week wait... And then another week... To find out I was pregnant again already ahhh!

How are you feeling about everything now? X

BillywilliamV · 30/07/2018 22:24

It'll be fine, honestly. I lost my first, so did my step neice, my SIL lost one. We have 9 children between us now. Miscarriages are so common snd so few pepple have long term problems. Try not to worry snd get to making your baby.

Stilltryingat36 · 30/07/2018 22:27

@Emmafh3 had a scan at 11 weeks no fh and baby measured 9weeks:(

We'd tried for over a year and to have it taken away was devastating.

So u got pg without having a cycle? The nurse was insistent I wAit 2 cycles but I don't want to.

As for bleeding I felt like I was abnormal and gutted that my body decided it was over so quickly when my head still hasn't caught up.

@BillywilliamV I know I'm trying to stay positive, I've got a 14yr old from previous relationship and this is the first mc I've had it's just took so long to get pg the bang it's gone x

If you're still spotting you might want to see or at least talk to your gp, it is possible to get an infection or retain placenta. Do you feel ok in yourself

CobaltRose · 31/07/2018 14:20

So sorry for your loss.

I suffered a missed miscarriage in April. I was supposed to be 12 weeks, but a scan revealed an empty sac Sad I had to have an ERPC as my body wasn't passing the pregnancy naturally.

I bled for two weeks after my surgery and two weeks after THAT got my first AF (exactly four weeks after my surgery).

I fell pregnant two months after my surgery and am now 8w1d. A scan last week revealed a healthy bean with a heartbeat ❤ Miscarriage is SO common yet nobody talks about it, and the vast majority of women who miscarry will go on to have healthy babies.

Good luck, take care of yourself Flowers

Stilltryingat36 · 31/07/2018 17:58

@Havetothink no spotting now just waiting for af. I did ask the nurse and she didn't say anything, I work with midwives too and they didn't seem concerned about the spotting but I don't know had 0 follow up since mc.

@CobaltRose fingers crossed for a straightforward pregnancy for u and a healthy baby xx

Update

17dpo af due today/tomoz no sign yet...

FruitCider · 01/08/2018 18:19

Did you ever get a negative pregnancy test? Or have ultrasound to confirm you had passed the sac? It doesn't sound like you have from your posts.... Thanks

Karigan198 · 01/08/2018 18:31

In the same boat here however AF is 3 weeks late. Tested negative last week but also tested negative when a scan revealed I was pregnant back in June.

I did have mega amounts of cm week of 16.7.18 so could have ovulated late. That was my original theory but now I think I’m pregnant as the cm has increased and my boobs have grown and feel sore. Just waiting to find out. Latest possible AF based on cm would be in 2 days. We actually tried to avoid this month.

Stilltryingat36 · 01/08/2018 19:16

No I didn't but I had positive opk for 2 days 11 days later and then negative opk. The well woman clinic said doesn't sound like I need a rescan as I'd still be bleeding and I'm not just had unusual spotting.

@Karigan198 I know I ovulated 15.7 but if I count the day I bled as cd1 I'd b due on today/tomoz if my cycles remain as they were before. I just don't know, r u going to do a test? X

OP posts:
Karigan198 · 01/08/2018 19:24

I’m going to test this weekend as tomorrow is last possible AF date.

Stilltryingat36 · 01/08/2018 19:28

I'm debating getting a Superdrug test or even one from Asda as that was reliable last time. I've got ic but can't decide if there is the faintest of lines or I'm just wishful thinking.

Let me know what test says xx

OP posts:
FruitCider · 01/08/2018 21:01

It's wise to check that your hcg levels are fallen, the reason why I suggest doing a pregnancy test is because when I miscarried at 9 weeks I saw the sac when it came out, I didn't have heavy bleeding as such but definitely had pain and passed a sac x

Stilltryingat36 · 02/08/2018 09:53

Hey, I did pass 5-6 big clots I didn't know wat I was looking for but the nurse said when I told her what happened that it was over.

Had very light very pale pink spotting when wiped last night so think af is coming. Nothing this morning tho proper messing with my head x

OP posts:
Karigan198 · 02/08/2018 12:17

It could be that your cycle is just a little out of whack.

I’m kind of hoping that I’m not. We were trying but tried to avoid last month as I got told I need an operation.

If it is AF then just remember that it’s another chance for you.

Stilltryingat36 · 02/08/2018 15:00

@Karigan198 feel like just giving up tbh took so long last time and then mc and I'm not getting any younger. Hope ur ok x

Delilah7 · 02/08/2018 15:44

Hi, hope you don't mind me joining.

I'm currently miscarrying and trying again is something we'd like to consider. I'm so confused with how I'm feeling. One minute I'm ok next I'm not. I was only 5 weeks but still hard. Any advise?

Stilltryingat36 · 02/08/2018 15:54

@Delilah7 it's 4 weeks today since I mc and I'm still like that. Think I've been through every emotion and reason why it's happened to me. I've read every article and chat anything I can online I'm driving myself mad.

Don't feel like anyone gets me at all and losing hope to be honest (today is a bad day)

Have u looked at smep that gives u a focus n like you're doing something taking control?

I'm so so sorry you are going thru this try to stay busy that helps me. Xxx

tigertoast · 02/08/2018 15:57

I had a mc at 8 weeks, passed everything without needing medical assistance, confirmed with an ultrasound at EPU. Took 5 and a half weeks for af to show up afterwards. Then 7 cycles to conceive again.

Be careful of a positive test, if you haven't had ultrasound confirmation that all of the last pregnancy was cleared you could have retained product.

Take some time to heal, mc is the worst thing. 💐

tigertoast · 02/08/2018 15:58

Also I used clear blue fertility ovulation tests the next time we caught.

Delilah7 · 02/08/2018 16:00

Thanks for reply ladies. I've been told to take a pregnancy test in two weeks time to make sure it's all out and comes up negative. Erm, I haven't looked at SMEP. I guess because it was my first every baby and first ever miscarriage I'm trying to think it's a one off. I've had investigation for endometriosis before but I'm all clear and my ovaries don't have cycts on. X

Stilltryingat36 · 02/08/2018 16:28

All the stuff I've read says 1 mc doesn't put u at any higher risk of mc again so good luck @Delilah7 xx

OP posts:
Karigan198 · 02/08/2018 16:37

I think one mc is quite common. I know loads who have had one

Delilah7 · 02/08/2018 16:56

Yeah I hope so. I know. Just found it harder as it was the first time I've ever been pregnant too, just didn't think it would go like that. X
