Yep @Alicejj8x as my sister is type 1 diabetic so puts me higher risk.

Patienceofatoddler · 14/08/2018 17:26

@Alicejj8x I can't remember how many weeks it's done but literally have a blood test to test blood sugar level.

Drink high sugar drink - usually bottle of Lucazade (prol spelt wrong) then blood test again 90 mins later. Usually done in clinic and not able to walk around have to sit in waiting room the whole time.

Patienceofatoddler · 14/08/2018 17:46

Lovely photo @Athers666 Smile

Alicejj8x · 14/08/2018 18:46

@Patienceofatoddler
Wow you can't even
Walk
Around
:( that's going
To be a long old wait lol

Thank you xx

Patienceofatoddler · 14/08/2018 19:11

@Alicejj8x muscles use glucose so exercise can lower blood sugar levels.

Alicejj8x · 14/08/2018 19:13

@Patienceofatoddler
Oh wow really I never knew that. Thank you x

Patienceofatoddler · 15/08/2018 09:38

Eurgh at work today and planning on yelling immediate team intentions for a year off from December.

Told two people yesterday (colleagues not friends but would impact I their work) and both responded 'was it planned' HmmSad

I could actually cry right now - Why are people so intrusive and insensitive Confused

HidCat · 15/08/2018 12:30

@Patienceofatoddler charming! Hopefully others will be more excited for you.

peachesarenom · 15/08/2018 12:58

Oh Patienceofatoddler I hate that I spend more time with colleagues then friends!

Athers666 · 15/08/2018 13:21

@Patienceofatoddler I'm sorry that they were so rude. I just can't understand some people! As Hidcat said, I hope others will be happy for you! I was so scared about telling my work, until someone at work (not my manager or boss) said that if they whinge, it's their problem and to just focus on myself and the baby and not get stressed out. It really helped me pluck up the courage to tell them!

Athers666 · 15/08/2018 13:22

Dh bought this last night 😍

Aww! I need a pram suit!

Patienceofatoddler · 15/08/2018 16:04

@peachesarenom @Athers666 @HidCat

Thanks it's quite unbelievable I was so nervous about saying anything and that is why.

I'm emotionally and mentally drained but tomorrow is a new day so hopefully it all stops and those who were curious if I knew how contraception works now have their answer. Confused

HidCat · 15/08/2018 16:23

@Athers666 so cute!

Athers666 · 15/08/2018 18:30

So cute isn't it? And so soft. Although I still feel weird buying stuff, it still feels too early somehow!

clairehr · 17/08/2018 16:48

Sooo... when does the racing to the loo to double check everything is ok stop?

Have had 'period like pains' today, just stretching, I know, yet I find myself in the toilet every half hour because I'm terrified of something bad happening again! 14 +3 today, I wish the panic would disappear!

Athers666 · 17/08/2018 17:23

@clairehr Oh you poor thing. I had similar around that time, mild period pains that would come and go. I was always checking for blood..it was miserable. For me I felt less worried once I could feel the baby moving around. It's reassuring that the bean is hopefully doing ok which means the constant checking for blood has subsided somewhat! X

Patienceofatoddler · 17/08/2018 18:05

@clairehr I'm 18w 3d and still check the paper every time I wipe - It just becomes an obsession.

I've never had any bleeding in three pregnancies but even so Blush

Patienceofatoddler · 17/08/2018 18:07

Well today I finally felt movement - So so relieved.

How's everyone feeling?

I'm so bloated and uncomfortable Blush

But just so relieved to finally feel something Smile

Athers666 · 17/08/2018 18:31

@Patienceofatoddler Oh brilliant! How many weeks are you? So exciting!
This time last week I was so bloated, 'heavy' and uncomfortable I crawled up the stairs crying! Happy to say I'm feeling much much better these last few days and able to just do my normal stuff.

Patienceofatoddler · 17/08/2018 20:12

@Athers666 it's just horrible lol.

Only 18w 3d - I'm really hope my gut settles to I wonder if it's my prenatal vitamins adding to it.

I'm at Midwife's Monday anyway for bloods to check my liver function / bile acids so may mention it but reckon over the weekend il up my fruit intake and have some prune juice lol

Pregnancy is so not elegant Blush

Athers666 · 17/08/2018 20:15

Prune juice saved my life in the first trimester!

Patienceofatoddler · 17/08/2018 20:19

Prune juice it is then haha

It makes me gag so bad but I am so so so uncomfortable BlushHmm

clairehr · 17/08/2018 20:53

@Athers666 and @patienceofatoddler Thanks for your replies! I'm glad I'm not just going mad and it is a 'thing'. Praying for the day I start feeling movement and hoping that will make it easier. Listened to heartbeat on doppler tonight which settled my fears a little.

Patienceofatoddler · 17/08/2018 22:09

@clairehr I would say it's definitely a thing Blush Your not going mad unless maybe we all are Confused

I lie in bed every night with my hands on my tummy - just trying to feel. It's only the last 24 hours I've actually noticed. It has made me feel hugely relived.

It's so hard not to worry no matter what stage your at Sad
