@Athers666 glad you're getting more movement. My midwife said that you're less likely to feel it when walking as the motion tends to make baby go to sleep.

@cakelaur so exciting that you've ordered things! We've decided on pushchair and probably nursery furniture but waiting til after 20 week scan on Friday before ordering. So far we haven't bought anything. We're trying to decide on what soft toy to buy as a first thing, but they are all so soft and cute!

Eurgh so anyone not told work yet?

I'm going to openly let people on my team know my intentions next week as will affect my work load as Mat cover person won't actually cover my job and will come in to cover more basic less specific elements to reduce team overall work load.

I'm dreading it - No idea why.

I've also stopped taking my antihistamine and I'm convinced I have itchy feet and hands I'm only 18 weeks so hoping it can't be Cholestasis again - already.

Going to phone midwife next week to see if she can arrange blood tests as really don't want to go to ante natal day unit as they really won't be able to do much at this early stage

I haven't mentioned it yet either. I have my 12 week scan tomorrow & have the whole day off so I will most likely tel them Tuesday/ Wednesday when I can pluck up the courage lol

I am a nanny so I feel extra guilty I am leaving them in the lurch as silly as that sounds. I know I have to think about my own life and I no there be happy for me but I feel so guiltily I'll be leaving :/ I need to shift this feeling as I will be giving plenty of notice for them

Ladies I've got my 12 week scan tmo arghhhhhh !

I am going to have the blood test taken for the screening of down syndrome
It says a blood test does anyone know if this happens whilst I'm having my scan or if I then have to go somewhere separate for this?

In terms of blood test it depends.

With my first / second a nurse always came in and done the blood tests in the scan room before sonographer came in. This time (different trust) I had to go to the day unit for blood tests). Just depends on how your hospital do it.

Thank you so much getting more nervous but cause I found the heart beat again today I do feel much calmer however I am sure this will change tmo lol!

Baby bean is all good
Everything looked great and how it should do the lady said just waiting for the blood test now for the downsyndrome but she measured the fold and said it was all normal :)
Measuring 12 +4 I thought I was 13 weeks today as last scan 2 weeks ago I was measuring 11 but they wasn't worried and said it's fine so now I'm the one worrying it hasn't grown that much? But the size has doubled is this ok ?
Due date is now 21st Feb

@Alicejj8x gorgeous bub!! Don't worry about being a day or two behind. They all grow at slightly different dates. Bub looks perfect. Now you can relax a little and enjoy it. 👍🏻

So glad all went well.

Dates are all abit fluid so wouldn't worry to much.
