Hi @Llondbol and @zarala! Congrats

Eastend2015 · 24/08/2018 08:51

Thanks ladies- This next week is when we had our last two losses so trying not to over analyse everything. I know this is all normal but I feel a lot less sick today than the last couple of days and so I can feel the anxiety getting me again Sad. Spent yesterday evening making a costume for DS carnival being held at nursery. It was a good distraction!!

Athers666 · 24/08/2018 14:23

@Eastend2015 So sorry to hear of your two previous losses. So much easier said than done not to analyse every symptom/twinge/lack of symptom. Hang in there xx

Eastend2015 · 24/08/2018 17:13

Thanks @athers666 we have DS at least but had two losses before him as well so we don’t have a great track record!!

Laney79 · 24/08/2018 20:59

Right I'm taking the plunge...may I join?

5+1 today after MMC with my first bean in March.

So happy To be pregnant again-but petrified too!

Any tips to stop the crazy setting in during the next few weeks? Early scan on 19th sept. Xxx

SurfingOwl · 24/08/2018 21:00

Hello everyone.

I’ve name changed but it’s nice to see so many names I recognise. I am probably going to be 5 weeks on Monday.

I hope everyone is doing well and not too anxious.

Cakelaur · 24/08/2018 22:32

So good to see so many "🐧" names on the bfp thread!! What a great month for bfps!! How's everyone feeling?

Llondbol · 24/08/2018 23:16

Aw @HidCat what a great milestone. Let us know how the scan goes xx

@Laney79 Welcome! I'm 5+1 as well - MMC in January x

Feeling really anxious today... I can't stop thinking about how I had such sore boobs and strong cramps by weeks 4/5 the first time; but this time around I'm just a bit tired with light, infrequent cramps. How different have your early symptoms been?

HidCat · 25/08/2018 09:10

@Laney79 @SurfingOwl welcome to the other side. No great advice to get through the anxiety but distractions worked well for me.

@Llondbol this pregnancy has been completely different from my last two. Worse sickness, more aches and exhausted. Both previous pregnancies were as you describe, slightly tired, light cramps (if any) and mild nausea that lasted about 5days. Don't let differing symptoms worry you - it's completely normal.

Llondbol · 25/08/2018 21:38

Thanks for the reassurance @HidCat - just try and stay calm, eeek, but it's so hard....

Staying at my parents' this weekend... last time we told them when we were 5+4 but we'd like to wait until we've had an early scan in week 8 after what happened in January. I've been constantly dodging alcohol 🙈 Tonight Mum insists on gin!! I managed to make them without her coming in the kitchen... mines the water, ice and lime on the left 😂

Can you have ice cream from ice cream van whilst preg

kiltedsheep · 26/08/2018 22:31

Hello hello! I'm climbing aboard the thread. Am 4+5 and had a MMC earlier this year.

DH is very anxious about this bean sticking. You'd think the MMC experience - which ended in an ERPC - would've left me extremely anxious too, but I have a strange sense that it will all be fine, God willing. When I was pregnant with DC1 I wrapped myself in cotton wool, and I did the same before the MMC. But this time it just feels different. (I've just come home from a very wet festival where I did loads of dad-dancing and generally had a bloody brilliant time, which I don't think I would've done during previous pregnancies.)

Weird, eh? It might yet go completely Pete Tong, but for the moment, I'm feeling strangely fine. Hmm

kiltedsheep · 26/08/2018 22:33

@Alicejj8x I'd say yes. In fact, I had one from a van yesterday while standing in the pissing rain. And I've lived to tell the tale.

Patienceofatoddler · 26/08/2018 23:12

@Alicejj8x if it's not recommended Imagine it would be due to the difficulties of properly cleaning the machines which it comes from rather than the ice cream (as long as made with pasteurised milk).

Cakelaur · 27/08/2018 09:09

This feels massive ladies!!!

@Cakelaur woop woop! 🙌 congratulations!!!

Llondbol · 27/08/2018 09:54

That's awesome @Cakelaur 🎉

Athers666 · 27/08/2018 10:00

Aw @Cakelaur love it! And Benjamin is lovely. We're considering Casper. Although the ghost association worries me!

Eastend2015 · 27/08/2018 12:52

🎉🎉🎉 yay @cakelaur!

Cakelaur · 27/08/2018 13:13

Thanks ladies!! Little Benji is kicking away like a mad man celebrating!! Hope everyone is ok!

@Athers666 Casper is a really lovely name. I know a Kasper with a "k" which slightly removes the ghost connotation.

SurfingOwl · 27/08/2018 13:29

Great news @Cakelaur and a significant milestone to get to.

How is everyone feeling? I feel a bit dizzy and yucky but that could be a bug or cold. Otherwise I am ok.

Patienceofatoddler · 27/08/2018 13:34

Congratulations @Cakelaur Thanks

Alicejj8x · 27/08/2018 16:28

@kiltedsheep
