@Alicejj8x yes you can take calpol lol. Been there.

Llondbol · 23/08/2018 06:13

Hi ladies, I can't quite believe it but after being on the TTC after loss thread with so many of you, I've had my BFP 😍 We had a MMC in January and been TTC ever since. In our 7th month of trying (and on holiday!) we found out we've been lucky enough to have this second chance. We're 5+0 today. I'm trying not to feel overly anxious but it's hard not to - this time I've had some infrequent, light, barely noticeable cramping and feel tired but that's it. Last time I had terrible tummy ache constantly, tiredness and sore breasts. Is it normal for symptoms to vary?!

Just had a scroll through the thread and loving the scan pics 😍

clairehr · 23/08/2018 06:29

Congrats @Llondbol and welcome to you and your little bean 😊

Patienceofatoddler · 23/08/2018 06:55

Congratulations @Llondbol

It's very normal for symptoms to vary - No two pregnancies are the same.

Patienceofatoddler · 23/08/2018 06:58

@HidCat @Alicejj8x

I may be being silly here but why Calpol and not just paracetamol tablets for a headache? Blush

Is it because it's not as strong as paracetamol?

Alicejj8x · 23/08/2018 07:19

@Patienceofatoddler
Oh lol because I was at work and I didn't have any paracetamol and neither did the people at work ( I'm a nanny) so the only thing was calpol lol so wondered if it was safe to take lol

HidCat · 23/08/2018 07:21

@Llondbol congratulations! Here's to a sticky one this time around. My symptoms have been completely different this time around so don't worry about that, it's normal.

@Patienceofatoddler it was the only paracetamol in the cupboard lol. I had to take my sons antihistamines once too as I forgot to get mine.

Athers666 · 23/08/2018 07:28

@llondbol Yay! Congratulations! So excited for you. X

zarala · 23/08/2018 08:22

Congrats @Llondbol !!!
I'm about 3 days behind you!
And yes every pregnancy is different :)
Fx for us all !!! 🙌🏽 🤞🏽

Llondbol · 23/08/2018 08:26

@clairehr @Patienceofatoddler @HidCat @Athers666 Thank you ladies! How far along are you? I'm so excited to be here 😁

@zarala So chuffed there's another newbie. When did you find out?

X

Patienceofatoddler · 23/08/2018 12:10

@Llondbol I am 19w 2d - feels like it has gone so so slow 😊🙈

Patienceofatoddler · 23/08/2018 12:14

Lol @HidCat @Alicejj8x haha love it.

I've done the same when hubby accidentally bought 6plus (our kiddies are way to young for it) and I had flu and it's the only relief I could reach from bed Blush

Just didn't know if there was more of a reason haha but totally understand using what's available It is just paracetamol and sugar I assume. Foul tasting though Confused

Hope your headaches are better today. X

Alicejj8x · 23/08/2018 12:46

@Patienceofatoddler
Ahah bet you was thinking why not just take paracetamol Ahahaha lol

Yes thank you so far today I haven't had one :) so hoping it's all ok. My app did say today it was all normal for headaches x

HidCat · 23/08/2018 13:19

@Llondbol I'm 11weeks. This is my MC stage milestone so I think once I get through today I'll believe it more.

@Alicejj8x let's hope you a good break from them!

Patienceofatoddler · 23/08/2018 13:24

Congrats @HidCat on reaching your milestone.

It so hard to be positive I'm now in the mindset that maybe il feel more confident after the 20 week scan next week...

It still feels so risky telling people I am pregnant Sad which is so irrational really.

Alicejj8x · 23/08/2018 13:40

@HidCat
Ah congrats on reaching your milestone. :)

Thank you I hope so too lol

clairehr · 23/08/2018 14:25

@HidCat Yay for reaching your milestone!

I'm being 'risky' this week as we're both off work, so going to have a look around Mamas and Papas and Mothercare etc etc. Not planning on buying, but seeing what's out there 🙊

Eastend2015 · 23/08/2018 14:54

Hi ladies- was on the other pregnancy after loss thread but nice to see a lot of familiar faces on here. 5+2 and time is crawling by until my first scan next thurs- it’ll be a big milestone as last two losses didn’t get past week 6.

It’s not helping that I’m only a month into a new job where I need to be at the top of my game and I just want to have a lie down Sad

Llondbol · 23/08/2018 16:32

Well done @HidCat - all you can do is take it a day at a time... easier said than done!!

@Eastend2015 I'm 2 days behind you - exciting! Is that a private early scan? We're thinking of booking one for the 8th week.

HidCat · 23/08/2018 16:49

Thanks everyone. @Eastend2015 congratulations, keeping everything crossed for your scan next week. xxx

Eastend2015 · 23/08/2018 17:09

Thanks ladies! No nhs give us one as first loss was ectopic.

Llondbol · 23/08/2018 20:02

Oh sweetheart I'm so sorry @HidCat
Let us know how the scan goes xx

Llondbol · 23/08/2018 20:03

Oops meant to tag @Eastend2015 not @HidCat x

zarala · 23/08/2018 22:57

@Llondbol last week ! Tested dpo10. Was so surprised to see a line! I am staying quite stoic to be honest. I don't want to get too excited in case it doesn't work out- but at the same time I am trying not to be too worried or anxious because I really hope this will happen! So riding a thin line of happiness and denial haha
But yay! So grateful to be here!

@HidCat what an amazing milestone! Here's to the next 30ish weeks!!!

Eek @Eastend2015 One week to go! I am excited for you! I know you're a little nervous...Im so nervous for mine...I haven't even told the RMC yet! My first MC started last bank holiday Monday the day after we went to Notting Hill carnival - I was 5w6. And we are going again this weekend. I will be 4w6... so I just want to get through bank holiday without seeing any blood before I tell the hospital... then they will scan me week 6... 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

HidCat · 24/08/2018 07:37

@Llondbol I've got my 12 week scan on Thursday so it's actually a very appropriate mistake lol. @Eastend2015 try to think positive.
