Hi ladies, just thought it would be nice to have a place for us "first timers" to air and share.

Good luck to everyone through your pregnancy journey Smile

I got my scan date yesterday. Got an appointment on the 24th which seems so far away! I'm quite pleased I'll be slightly "further on"(12+6) as I'm convinced they're going to push my dates back at least a week.

Jesscaar · 09/08/2018 19:53

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever I was convinced our due date would be moved back before my scan, but we actually went forward 4 days! Either way, hope your scan goes well!

TheWanderlust · 10/08/2018 08:59

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever I've got a scan on the 24th too at 12+3 I'm also convinced they will push my dates back a week!

@Jesscaar thank you 😊
@TheWanderlust Oooh what times you're? Mines not until 3pm so I'll be so nervous that day! I'll be 12 weeks exactly so I'm hoping they don't push me back too far so that they can't do all the tests.

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 10/08/2018 12:03

yours sorry. Autocorrect.

TheWanderlust · 10/08/2018 13:11

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever I'm 4pm... really nervous now. It's going to be a long 2 weeks wait. I've not yet had a scan at all so very exciting

@Thewanderlust I wish mine was earlier on in the day. I know you're supposed to go with a full bladder but I'll be nervous weeing all day!

Has anyone told their parents yet? We're going to tell mine tonight and I'm strangely dreading it. We get married in October so I think they'll just assume it was an accident and be disappointed for us... although my mum has said she can't wait to have grandchildren. I'm just hoping it goes down well but I have no idea how to tell them.

Baby160P · 10/08/2018 15:01

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever I'll be the same with needing the wee all day!!

Some people have said it's taken hours to get the right position too so how do you hold your bladder that long?!? 😂

We've told our parents, ours wasn't planned but very much wanted. I was so worried to tell everyone but they're the opposite. Over excited! It's the first baby my other half's side of he family and I feel pressure that everything is to be well at our 12 week scan and I'm anxious enough as it is!!!

Essay!

AnguaUberwaldIronfoundersson · 10/08/2018 16:05

16+3 here and due January 22nd with number 1!

Severe PCOS with crazy, irregular periods and got our BFP after my first 28 day cycle in about 5 years -after being told it basically wouldn't happen naturally- which was a total surprise, especially after DTD about 2 times and being extremely unwell half the month.

Terrible symptoms until 9 weeks, the tiredness lifted about week 11 and all is good. I just don't feel pregnant at all though, other than my trousers are really really tight and I can't poo.

It doesn't feel real. It seems like time is going far too slowly but that January will be here in the blink of an eye.

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 10/08/2018 23:09

Told my parents this evening and they were really happy so I worried for nothing!

@Baby160P oh god. I really hope I don't have to wait that long! I'm peeing every half hour at the moment. 😂

Welcome @AnguaUberwaldIronfoundersson. I know what you mean about time going so slowly yet flying by at the same time! It still doesn't feel real to me yet either!

Middsummerskies · 10/08/2018 23:16

hey! I'm due mid march and I'm freaking ancient for this business (40) so am quite anxious about it.

Baby160P · 11/08/2018 03:47

@Middsummerskies congratulations!

That's not ancient. I'm sure you'll be a fab mummy!

Baby160P · 11/08/2018 03:47

Ps insomnia!!! 🙈😬

Gupster · 16/08/2018 18:23

Hey ladies, so I had an early scan last Thursday due to some bleeding and have a follow up scan tomorrow to check that bubba is ok, hoping to see the heartbeat and he/she should have doubled in size 🤞 xx

jennac · 17/08/2018 08:27

@Gupster sending you lots of positive vibes...hope all goes well today❤️ How far along are you?

Gupster · 17/08/2018 10:54

@Jennac thank you, just had the scan and saw the heartbeat, he looks like a little kidney bean, he is strong and healthy and everything is good, she said I'm measuring at about 5 weeks 6 days pregnant so should be due mid April xx

TheMagicTorch · 17/08/2018 11:31

Morning ladies, can I jump on please? I'm 4 weeks + 6 days with my first baby, due 20th April. Excited and nervous!
Got awfully heavy sore boobs at the moment (and they're not exactly small to start with! 😳) and terrible insomnia. Been awake since 4am today!
Got a private scan booked for 7+1 so looking forward to that.
