Hi ladies, just thought it would be nice to have a place for us "first timers" to air and share.

Good luck to everyone through your pregnancy journey Smile

Hi everyone! Please can I join? I think this is a fab idea, it’s good to talk to other mommas to be that are also in early stages. As me and my hubs aren’t telling everyone as of yet it can be very lonely. I am due 7th April, 4 weeks now and have my GP appointment next Tuesday.

ballanj · 03/08/2018 14:59

Another symptom which seems to have appeared this week is headaches 😭 I never get them really so I'm a bit rubbish in dealing with them. Sometimes they don't even feel like full blown headaches, just groggy headed feeling and tension across the brow. Makes me just want to lay down! Looking at a computer and the heat probably isn't helping either. Anyone else in a similar situation?! It feels like I've got a hangover a lot of the time without the benefit of a good drink!

BabyBeeBumble · 03/08/2018 19:55

Hi everyone!
I found out I’m pregnant this morning, I feel really excited but nervous about everything. I had the mirena removed at the very end of June so I wasn’t expecting it to happen so quickly.
Due date is coming out at 13th April

ballanj · 03/08/2018 20:19

@BabyBeeBumble
Congratulations! I was the same, happened a lot quicker than expected. Lots to process but this forum is great for airing any concerns you have! X

BabyBeeBumble · 03/08/2018 20:33

Thanks @ballanj I think a lot of the nerves are because I really wasn’t expecting it to happen. I’ve only had one period since the Mirena was removed so I’m not really sure how long my cycles were etc. I tested this morning because I was expecting it to be negative and for the only other period I had testing brought it on!
I’ve worked my due date based on 32 days (the time between what I guess was a mirena withdrawal and the period)
Should I have done it on 28 days?
How long did everyone leave it before booking in at the doctors?

ballanj · 03/08/2018 21:37

@BabyBeeBumble
I had my booking in appointment on Monday, I'm 8 weeks tomorrow. I booked it three weeks ago and my gp said they normally arrange book ins around 8-10 weeks. I know what you mean about cycles, didn't get much time to work out what it was. When I had my booking in, they worked out my due date on a 28 day cycle. A few days probably won't make much difference in the grand scheme of things. They also told me that this could change depending on what they see on the 12 week scan.

Gupster · 04/08/2018 10:19

Hellp evedyone and congratulations to all of you.
I found out this week that I am pregnant, I am 4 weeks and 3 days. The last couple of days I've been really bloated and had acid reflux, has anyone else experienced this?

Baby160P · 04/08/2018 10:46

Congrats everyone.

I was very bloated at the very beginning (I'm 11 weeks today)

Headache wise I found 4head a godsend. It lives in my handbag!!!

ballanj · 04/08/2018 12:29

@Gupster
Congratulations! Yes to both of those, especially the bloating. Feel like I've got a thicker waist even though I don't look much different from the outside. Wish I could say it's got better but it really hasn't 😂

PurpleFlower1983 · 04/08/2018 13:21

I’m due 1st March (28th Feb according to scan measurements) so just over 10 weeks. I’m 34 and we had been TTC for 3 years. Had an early scan at 8 weeks and all looking good so far!

Jesscaar · 04/08/2018 14:41

Hi, I'm 13 weeks now. We had our dating scan on Monday and are expecting 6th Feb! Got a very squirmy baby by the looks of it, which made the scan very exciting.

Gupster · 04/08/2018 14:45

@balanj thank you for your response, I'm expecting it to get worse not better so I'm prepared for the next lots of symptoms, going by dates I'm due 10th April, got my first mid wife's appointment on 21st August.

astewart13 · 08/08/2018 14:47

Anyone week 9 tomorrow... how you feeling?
I have an early scan booked for Saturday, I'm feel a lot less bloated atm and less pregnant.... normal?
Very excited but also scared, feels too good to be true

Baby160P · 08/08/2018 16:10

@astewart13 I'm 11+5 but at 9 weeks my symptoms disappeared so I get what you're saying. We had a private scan then too. It's lovely!! Congrats

ballanj · 08/08/2018 16:29

@astewart13
I'm just under 9 weeks and today feel the most human I've felt in weeks! Breast tenderness has reduced and feeling less bloated. All quite common apparently as the placenta starts to take over soon (I think?) and the hormone levels start to even out. I have my first scan at just under 12 weeks on August 30. Good luck with your early scan! X

AutumnLee12 · 08/08/2018 18:32

Hey how is everyone doing?
I had my 12 week scan yesterday and showing as 12+5 and no concerns atm. I'm feeling more reassured now that milestone is done but I don't think I'll rest easy until bubba is here! Can't stop smiling though 😊

JEMF1995 · 08/08/2018 21:19

Congrats all. I have just found out I'm pregnant with my first after a mmc in June. Feeling so anxious as 12 weeks seems ages away!! xx

Baby160P · 09/08/2018 07:43

Congrats on your scan ours is Tuesday, I can't wait!!

Such an anxious time.

Welcome and congrats!! Xx

Shootingstar2018 · 09/08/2018 13:24

Hi all and massive congratulations.

I had my first scan yesterday and feeling much more relaxed now. Happily 8 weeks and 5 days with a due date of 16/03/2019 Smile

JEMF1995 · 09/08/2018 14:44

Congrats shooting star. I am going to try and hold off until 8 weeks before having a private one!! 4 weeks seems so long away though xx

ballanj · 09/08/2018 14:52

Congratulations @Shootingstar2018
We are due date buddies! No early scan for me but have my 12 week scan on 30 August, 3 weeks and counting!

JEMF1995 · 09/08/2018 14:55

Not long to go!! Has anybody else suffered with achy legs? xx

Baby160P · 09/08/2018 15:09

@JEMF1995 definately worth the wait. We had one at 7 weeks and seeing the heartbeat is lovely. I dont think you see that before 5/6 weeks

Baby160P · 09/08/2018 15:11

Our 12 weeks is Tuesday and it's been the longest wait. From Tuesday its was like YES 1 week to go! But it's going soooooo slow!!!

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 09/08/2018 15:29

@JEMF1995 So glad it's not just me with the achy legs! I thought it was just because I work at a desk for 10 hours a day! I feel like I've got the flu most day and with this weather I haven't been able to have a nice long bath.
