33 weeks and won't lie that I am now very fed up of pregnancy this time around! The sickness, increase in needing to poo and feeling mega uncomfortable is making me so fed up!! What is your least favourite thing about being pregnant?

I'm 40 weeks today and with the exception of feeling baby move I really don't like being pregnant!

The heat.
Insomnia
Heartburn
Sickness and nausea for the first 20 weeks
Lack of energy to work and for my other kids
I could go on!!

MamOfFrankie · 22/07/2018 19:49

I was doing alright until this weekend but the past two days it has been:
The heat - don't think I've ever sweated from the face like this before!
Bump getting the way
Being so exhausted I fall asleep sitting up
Not being able to do the fun active things my 6yo wants to do
Sore hip
Sore back
Being booted in the ribs painfully

3w2d til EDD!

Wellthisunexpected · 22/07/2018 19:52

Currently 12 weeks and having a bad IBS (hormonal) and morning sickness flare up. I'm in agony, can't walk straight, can't sit up, being sick and in sole charge of a boisterous toddler! Bring on 2nd trimester!

Flamingo84 · 22/07/2018 19:53

34 weeks and my first pregnancy. I’m generally embracing the whole experience but the things I really won’t miss are:

Heartburn
Nausea
Not being able to stretch without getting foot cramp
Feeling hot all the time
Needing 4 cushions to get comfy
Being denied all the nice food and drink!

Poptart4 · 22/07/2018 20:44

30 weeks pregnant and the things im fed up with :

Heat.
Heartburn.
Severe ligament pain.
My hips have started locking at night - really painful.
Loads to do but no energy to do it.
People telling me how big i am all the damn time.
Have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes so not only can i have no alcohol, I also cant stuff my face with chocolate 😭

This is my last pregnancy so im really trying to embrace it and enjoy it but its hard sometimes. I was in tears the other day because I felt trapped in my own body with no control. Im over that feeling now but god its not easy.

popcorndiva · 22/07/2018 20:51

35 weeks
-Still being sick
-Waking up at 6am whatever time I go to sleep
-Sensitivity to light so I have to wear sunglasses when I go into any shop
-This heat makes me dizzy

  • The inability to do anything productive without having a nap after
Mousefunky · 22/07/2018 23:09

25 weeks.
The all day nausea from week 5-17 that disappeared for a week then slowly started to return. I don’t have it all day anymore but it’s still very much there on/off especially when I need to eat (which is most of the time).
How irritable I am. I get so so irritated if I’ve gone too long without food and I feel really irritated in my own skin sometimes.
The heat recently has been utterly unbearable. I don’t cope with heat well anyway but when pregnant it’s 20x worse.
The hormonal crying... I feel like I’m going crazy.
Peeing every two seconds. Had this from the beginning and it’s not improved one jot in the second trimester as the apps say it does, it’s just got worse.
Struggling to sleep and once I am asleep, struggling to stay asleep throughout the night usually due to peeing.
Lower back pain
Boob pain. Escaped that symptom in the first trimester but it caught up with me around ten weeks ago and they just feel so heavy and sore.

Eeeeek2 · 23/07/2018 00:06

Exhaustion
Back ache
Hip pain
Shooting pains down right leg
People telling me I'm huge yep I know and don't need to be reminded regularly
Lack of gin

FrauNeuer · 23/07/2018 01:47

30 weeks today and hating every second.

  • heat
  • sweating like a pig
  • little foot permanently wedged under my ribcage
  • heartburn
  • vomiting in the early hours due to heartburn
  • no beer
  • no e-cigarette
  • crippling exhaustion
  • also had chronic anxiety for the first 18 weeks or so (due to previous mcs) which required CBT and talking therapy

Apart from that, it’s been an absolute breeze!

It all makes me quite sad as this is a very much longed for first baby conceived through ivf after years or trying and I soooo want to enjoy the experience, but honestly, it sucks.

ReggaetonLente · 23/07/2018 01:58

I absolutely hate being pregnant. 37 weeks today and I hope she’s early.

Heartburn.
Acid reflux that means bending down to put clothes in a drawer ends up like a scene from The Exorcist.
Knee pain - getting up from the sofa or going to the loo makes me groan like I’m about 150 years old.
Swollen hands, feet and ankles. No shoes fit and I’m genuinely concerned about my wedding and engagement rings having to be cut off.
Weight gain. I’m the size of a house and barely recognise myself. Here’s hoping lots of it is fluid.
Feeling like I’ve been kicked in the fanny for most of the day.

Health wise I’m fortunately fine. It’s all just so uncomfortable. I love my baby but I hate pregnancy!!!!

Pepper123123 · 23/07/2018 02:00

I'm 10 weeks.

I'm not enjoying the fatigue and mood swings, but more than anything else I'm not enjoying the wait to see my baby's beating heart so that I can relax a little.
If pregnancy wasn't making me feel so ill, the worry would.

ICJump · 23/07/2018 02:35

The farting.
The nausea.
Sore fingers from monitor blood sugar levels.
Tiredness.

Tears, from me over the silliest things.

Stroller15 · 23/07/2018 02:44

33 weeks and not enjoying being pregnant this time! So glad to hear I'm not alone with the being unable to stretch without getting leg cramps - want someone to stretch every muscle I have and get itrationally jealous when my husband stretches in front of me! The heat, constant heartburn and just constant uncomfort. And then the guilt of not enjoying it all and not having energy to do stuff with ds1 when we watch Cars 3 for the 100th time.

user1495827045 · 23/07/2018 07:12

I'm so glad I am not the only fed up pregnant lady! Don't get me wrong, we are cooking beautiful babies and that will be worth it but my goodness it is hard work!!!

IncyWincyMouseRat · 23/07/2018 07:50

I’m unbelievably hot all the time (I appreciate this is also the weather).

The weight gain, whilst a totally normal and reasonable amount (about 10kg), makes me feel insanely heavy and tired.

My entire digestive system is acid.

I still vomit randomly.

Baby lies in awkward uncomfortable positions.

People think they can just touch me and every time I am too taken aback to pint out how uncomfortable it makes me feel.

I can’t sleep or lie on my back or front. I just want to lie on my front!

Peeing all the time. 6 times in one night!

Having thrush constantly despite multiple treatments and limiting my sugar intake. 😩

Being absolutely exhausted at the end of the working day so that I completely waste my evenings because I am too knackered to do anything fun or productive.

I’m trying to manage my expectations and remember I COULD have 7 weeks left (that would be 42 weeks) but my god I hope not!

Bellabutterfly2016 · 23/07/2018 07:52

I'm 16 weeks and feel awful!!!
Tired, grumpy, bloated, and generally really tired and sluggish.

Last pregnancy was a breeze so no idea why I feel like this - must be the heat!!!!

randomsabreuse · 23/07/2018 07:57

22 weeks.

Riverdance on my bladder at 3am is my least favourite bit.
Already huge boobs grown so nothing fits
Hot.
My three year old is nearly faster than me!

Grumpos · 23/07/2018 08:11

35 weeks and very lucky to have had a really nice easy time up until now.
Now I have carpal tunnel syndrome in my right arm and it’s not only painful but really annoying.

Cramps in my calf muscles and the “after” ache from the cramp which I’ve now had for 3 days.

General swelling of legs and feet - I honestly have no shoes which fit. I am travelling to a corporate site visit today for work in jazzy sandals bc they are the only things which don’t leave my feet looking like raw pizza dough spilling out the sides.

Really miss sleeping on my back and being able to cross my legs when I sit, both being my default / comfy positions usually.

So happy for it all but definitely ready to move to the next stage now! I need my feet and hands back to normal size!

unicornchaser · 23/07/2018 09:30

Not being allowed to sleep on my back meaning I get very little sleep. Once I actually manage to fall asleep. And in between the 40 toilet trips a night.

The persistent exhaustion after the smallest exertion. Like hanging the washing out!

No wine! Or cider! Made so much harder with the summer we have had!

Feeling so fat.

Aw12345 · 23/07/2018 09:43

Oh my gosh yes hating pregnancy. 38 weeks, I know it's unlikely but I'm desperately holding out the hope that this baby is going to come any day! For all of the reasons previously listed by you fellow-sufferers, bring on the babies.

As a side note- for anyone depressed in 1st/2nd trimester, for me (and it's different for everyone) I have found the 3rd trimester the easiest by a long way so keep at it because you may find it gets easier :-) I know it's depressing when you feel awful and are only half way through.

Daffodil2018 · 23/07/2018 16:14

Only 16 weeks and I hate looking like I'm just fat! I want my bump to come out properly - at the moment I just look like I have a big beer belly! It's gross!

NCPuffin · 23/07/2018 16:18

I feel so much better reading this! I thought the reason I was struggling at 30 weeks was because I was obese to begin, but it's good to know I am not the only one who feels like I need a sit down after doing anything remotely productive!

I'm sleeping reasonably OK, but my morning sickness never went away properly (now semi-controlled with meds) and I have agonising back pain (old problem) that means one wrong move will have me screaming in pain and walking is really uncomfortable. It is unrelated, but probably made worse by, my pelvic pain, which means sore hips when I wake up and a sore foof all day.

YY to feeling sick in the heat - thank god we broke up last Friday! My classroom was an absolute sweatbox!

thisonebreath · 23/07/2018 19:41

32 weeks and have a torn muscle at top of bump. I have a constant burning pain ranging from just sore to searing agony. I can't walk far as the weight pulling on it makes it worse and nothing will ease it. 8 weeks to go...

NotDrunk · 23/07/2018 19:47

28 weeks with 2nd boy child.

Incredible pressure in my lady bits and even have a lovely varicose vein pop out down below BlushBlush

K9pal7 · 23/07/2018 19:51

33 weeks and also very fed up.
The heat is killing me,
Can't sleep,
Can't get comfortable,
Sore legs,
Sore feet and back 😫 just want this baby out of me now
