33 weeks and won't lie that I am now very fed up of pregnancy this time around! The sickness, increase in needing to poo and feeling mega uncomfortable is making me so fed up!! What is your least favourite thing about being pregnant?

32 weeks and my list of complaints gets longer by the day! 😂

  • Sickness and relentless nausea from 6-18 weeks
  • Exhaustion, mainly due to insomnia
  • THE HEAT 😩
  • Sciatica
  • Hips locking up during the night
  • Constipation
  • Back pain
  • Swollen ankles
  • Heartburn
  • Heaviness & how hard it is to get up/roll over/tie shoelaces etc

I'm going to be a barrel of laughs for the next 8 weeks!

thismeansnothing · 23/07/2018 21:59

The heat...god dam this heat. I hate summer at the best of times but I'm at the back end of the crappy first trimester with 24/7 nausea (no sickness). Struggling to eat more than a mouthful of whatever I can stomach in that moment. Physically active job. Not really in a position where I feel comfortable telling anyone my situation so they can understand why I'm struggling so much. I don't feel hydrated cos I'm struggling to drink much. If it was a bit cooler it would be just that bit more manageable.

kirinm · 23/07/2018 22:10

Carpal tunnel syndrome and achy feet. Also, the sheer size of my bump and the difficulty it causes me when trying to sleep! Oh and bloody restless fucking legs! (34 weeks).

ThorsMistress · 23/07/2018 22:15

31 weeks

The heat - I’m so hot and I honestly don’t believe I can sweat anymore
A big bump - At my last midwife appointment I was measuring 2 weeks over so my bump is huge
Tired - I’m constantly tired and struggle with a decent night sleep

Halfeatentoast · 23/07/2018 22:34

Ooo let me join in!:

32 weeks in and I have:
Bum/hip ache
Back ache
Feet ache
Fanjo ache
Baby pushing in weird directions and hurting me
Sore stomach muscles from ligamemt pain
Insomnia
3 am wake ups
Heartburn
On/off nausea
Not being able to play with my son

My husband said he could tell I was suffering as I couldn't be bothered to argue with him.

My heart goes out to you all!

Anydaynow2 · 24/07/2018 07:30

Unsolicited "advice" from EVERYONE!!

randomsabreuse · 24/07/2018 07:37

Can't get through gaps by turning sideways and going on tiptoes! Which is always embarrassing.

Query1 · 24/07/2018 08:10

poptart4 so would you drink alcohol if you didn’t have GD? I’m 27 weeks and the thought of having an alcoholic beverage hasn’t occurred to me. Is there any reason to do so?

EvaGraceMummy2015 · 24/07/2018 08:12

25 weeks with twins and a 3 year old DD on holiday from nursery
*feeling as huge as I was full term with my DD
*THIS HEAT IS UNBEARABLE
*Achey legs and ankles
*Sweating like I've never sweat before😩
*Pregnancy eczema-never had it before in my life but it's spreading everywhere and itching like crazy
*Spd starting-can't turn over in bed without it hurting my inner thighs
*Never seem to be able to get comfortable because of the size of my stomach 😢

12 weeks to go and counting!! (I know my baby girls will be worth it all in the end but not enjoying this pregnancy one bit!!)

Angeliki159 · 24/07/2018 11:04

Restless leg!
Heartburn
Not being able to sleep
Being insanely tired
The fear of birth
The sickness
The discomfort when baby lays awkwardly
The head! Oh man the heat!!

Angeliki159 · 24/07/2018 11:05

That was meant to say "the heat. Oh man the heat!"

Gemsie1984 · 24/07/2018 11:27

May I join? 20 weeks and the things that are pissing me off, include:

Restless Leg Syndrome
Constipation
Mood Swings
SPD
Hair trigger vomiting reflex
When baby decides he wants to use my cervix as a trampoline
Fanny daggers
Painful tender boobs
Nipples of fire
Increased hairiness

guiltynetter · 24/07/2018 11:33

33 weeks and i’ve got one word for you.
Piles.

worse than labour i think.

problembottom · 24/07/2018 14:51

17 weeks and feeling much better now morning sickness has gone but still...

The heatwave. As I move from from room to room the fan comes with me.
No meds - currently off sick with a stinking cold , usually I’d be dosed up and soldiering on with Sudafed. Also usually rely on Nurofen to take the edge off occasional headaches.
Huge, sweaty boobs. As a B/C all my life I am not enjoying being an E cup.
Breathlessness from doing the smallest thing.

LisaR1430 · 24/07/2018 15:00

Some shows during the weekend went to early pregnancy unit had a internal scan the nurse said theres something there but only looks about 5 weeks end up having my bloods done and have low hcg levels when i got home did another 2 pregnancy test which came back positive getting another blood test tomorrow to see if my hcg levels has risen . Also can you bleed from an internal scan had it all last night and today im really worried ..x

ballanj · 24/07/2018 15:06

@Query1 I think @Poptart4 meant that she can't soften the blow of not being able to have a drink by having something something sweet, owing to the gestational diabetes. Even so if @Poptart4 wanted to have a drink, that's entirely her own choice I personally think.

kirinm · 24/07/2018 15:14

@Query1 It's clear Poptart means she can't drink (because she's pregnant) but also can't have sugar due to GD. This wasn't intended to be a thread to judge other women anyway. Perfectly entitled to drink during pregnancy if you want to.

TurquoiseWeekend · 24/07/2018 15:16

I'm only 8 weeks and have been in bed for 3 days now with horrific sickness but I feel bed for complaining now, reading all this! It must be horrible to be heavily pregnant in this weather.

WhyBird2k · 24/07/2018 15:20

35 weeks and very grateful but I won't miss:

Weird rib kicks/ pain
Feeling like I need someone else to roll me over in bed
The gross under- boob sweat line on my clothes
Stretch marks that even my 3 yo is concerned about
Weird fingernail growth
Insanely thick hair
Breathlessness

cheerfullysleepless · 24/07/2018 16:06

Hi ladies - so much of this is familiar! Weird question here.... had terrible anxiety for first trimester that (don't want to jinx it but..) last week or so seemed to have been ebbing away. Am 13 weeks 2 days and at 12 week scan the lovely sonographer who knew nothing about my anxiety at all gave me some tips for coping with pregnancy discomfort in general which I had been all attributing to anxiety but now wondering about. So i see some ladies mentioned shortness of breath - did you have this this early? I feel a bit tight chested sometimes but not always and sometimes short of breath which sonographer said was normal. The also sometimes a heavy or almost buzzy / nervous tummy feeling but when i'm not actually nervous? Ring any bells? Thanks everyone!

Poptart4 · 24/07/2018 16:15

@query1 i meant i already cant drink because im pregnant and i quite like a glass of wine when im not. And now because of gd i cant even have chocolate which is another thing i love that i cant have.

No need to be so judgemental

WhyBird2k · 24/07/2018 17:55

Cheeefullysleepless my shortness of breath started in 2nd trimester and I was anaemic. Then as bump grew it made it even worse! So may not just be due to anxiety that you're experiencing. I hope you have support around you, anxiety in pregnancy is difficult.

MamOfFrankie · 24/07/2018 20:17

@cheerfullysleepless I got breathless quite early on but put it down to low blood pressure. Didn't have buzzy tummy but did used to sometimes get a weird 'hollow' feeling that would make me feel quite tense and anxious.

Main bug bear today is that, despite my best intentions not to, already started labour symptom spotting at 37 weeks and I just know I am going to drive myself crackers for the next however-many-weeks. Already put myself through the ringer (symptom spotting-wise) for 3 cycles of the 2ww when trying to conceive!

MinisterforCheekyFuckery · 24/07/2018 20:26

27 weeks and not enjoying pregnancy at all. Irritations include:

  1. This. Fucking. Heatwave. Ugh.
  1. People telling me how huge I am...what makes people think it's ok to comment on someone's body just because they're pregnant??
  1. Fanny Daggers
  1. Sore, rock hard boobs.
  1. Feeling exhausted
  1. I miss Wine.
  1. Strangers staring at or, even worse, touching my bump.
  1. Braxton Hicks...so uncomfortable.
  1. Not being able to get comfy in bed at night.
  1. Having to wee all the fecking time.

  2. Maternity clothes... expensive, usually hideous and unflattering and I resent spending money on something I'll use for such a short time.

  3. Endless conversations with DH about baby names that never bring us any closer to a decision because he doesn't like any of all my suggestions and I think his are so ridiculous I'm never quite sure if he's joking Grin

unicornchaser · 25/07/2018 09:21

@MinisterforCheekyFuckery, I haven't yet had anyone try to touch my belly aside from hubby which is a good thing as I think I would punch them in the face!
I hate the fact people think they can suddenly disrespect personal space and start touching you jut cos your pregnant!

I won't even let family or friends touch my bump, it's just weird in my opinion 🤔
