Anyone know much about first response lines? A miracle has occurred 🙏🏼

A miracle has very possibly occurred!!! 4 years TTC, 2 years of infertility treatment, 1 IVF miscarriage, 1 negative IVF transfer and then all of a sudden today I get a positive test!! Naturally!! I have PCOS and one blocked tube so this is a miracle.

Last month I had a failed IVF cycle, just paid to start a brand new one, waiting for AF and then it would begin. All my drugs are at home ready to go. I was cleaning up today and found a spare test, decided because i’ve been using supplements to improve egg quality and there’s no sign of AF that i’d just use it on the off chance. The line came up straight away. I nearly passed out with shock.

Does this look like a good, strong line? Not sure how far gone I could be. Any idea what that line could indicate? I had a negative test on 14th June, stopped my IVF medication and had a bleed on 18th June so have obviously conceived at some point since then.

I didn’t have a fetal pole at my first scan at 5+5. We went back at 7 weeks and there was a heartbeat!

VillageFete · 03/08/2018 16:05

Thanks all, you really are so kind. It’s so appreciated Flowers

Sounds very positive to me.
I've always found out later but one of my sisters didn't have a fetal pole at her very early scan when she was 5+4 - that baby is now 14 weeks old :)

Frazzled2207 · 03/08/2018 17:03

The clear blue will definitely not be 100% accurate on weeks pregnant so I wouldn't worry about that.
Great news generally and that you get another scan in two weeks. You should definitely get a heartbeat then.

My 4 year old son is from an ivf pregnancy,?took years and years of Ivf to conceive him.

I obviously had early scans because of ivf but also one at 5 weeks as I have had previous ectopic pregnancy's so just checking for pregnancy location, there was a yolk sac no fetal pole that came at the scan 7 days later along with a heartbeat! Honestly things appear very suddenly in there.

Sorry not sure why the random question mark in my previous post Blush

I genuinely think you are going to be fine.

You'll be seen in 2 weeks and you will see baby & heartbeat,

a yolk sac today is perfect!

I thought my yolk sac looked too big on my scan photo so googled 'enlarged yolk sac' Then another scan baby measured 69mm or something like that and I googled for the amount of weeks I was and it seemed off like he was too small etc it was never ending there were plenty of other things along the way I worried and obsessed about, I was just so nervous after the whole ivf and didn't believe or couldn't believe it was for real!

This is your time. Smile

X

Thanks all so much for your reassurance. It’s much appreciated. It’s just hellish when you’ve struggled for so long, it’s hard to relax and believe it’s happened! I do feel positive, and I have a private scan booked next Saturday, so hopefully that will massively reassure me before my scan in 2 weeks. X

friendlyflicka · 03/08/2018 22:49

Not read whole thread. Very happy for you. I had difficulties keeping pregnant and one of the best effective solutions is lots of reassurance and early screening and kindness from professionals. Maybe get a lot of communication underway to get all the soothing and care you can for your miracle baby

chicola · 03/08/2018 23:05

How exciting! Congratulations

VillageFete · 03/08/2018 23:05

I have everything crossed for you 🤞

Mama05070704 · 03/08/2018 23:49

I haven’t read the whole thread but wanted to say congratulations!

We ttc for 4 years; did 10 rounds of Clomid, 2 rounds of IVF and 1 missed miscarriage before conceiving our DS.

I have PCOS and severe endometriosis and was told I’d never conceive naturally. I fell pregnant on my DS first birthday and now have 2 DS 21 months apart.

Wishing you a healthy and happy pregnancy. X

VillageFete · 04/08/2018 09:20

@Mama05070704 Massive Congratulations! So pleased you have had such a happy ending! Gives me hope. I just need next Saturday to hurry up as I know i’ll be seeing a fetal pole then. I will just worry until then x

Big strong line, huge congrats!! :) Clearblue counts weeks from conception not last period hence the difference xx

FlippertyJibbit · 04/08/2018 09:39

What a wonderfully strong line! Congrats!
