A miracle has very possibly occurred!!! 4 years TTC, 2 years of infertility treatment, 1 IVF miscarriage, 1 negative IVF transfer and then all of a sudden today I get a positive test!! Naturally!! I have PCOS and one blocked tube so this is a miracle.

Last month I had a failed IVF cycle, just paid to start a brand new one, waiting for AF and then it would begin. All my drugs are at home ready to go. I was cleaning up today and found a spare test, decided because i’ve been using supplements to improve egg quality and there’s no sign of AF that i’d just use it on the off chance. The line came up straight away. I nearly passed out with shock.

Does this look like a good, strong line? Not sure how far gone I could be. Any idea what that line could indicate? I had a negative test on 14th June, stopped my IVF medication and had a bleed on 18th June so have obviously conceived at some point since then.

That's a lovely strong line.. mine was looking very similar to that when I took my test and I was around 5+3.
Massive congratulations.. hope you have a wonderful stress free pregnancy!

At 5 weeks - sometimes. Sometimes it's too early so try not to get hopes up too high or OTOH to lose all hope if the scan is disappointing. But if they can't see anything they'll normally get you back in a few days or a week.

However at 5+4 we actually saw a tiny heartbeat with this one - couldn't believe it as it had taken us 2 years and 2 miscarriages to get to that point.

BTW you'd be very welcome on the pregnancy after miscarriage thread as well :)

DancingLedge · 21/07/2018 22:25

Brilliant news!
Try not to worry if they can't find much on a 5 week scan- sometimes early scans are just too early, and the next one's fine.

susurration · 21/07/2018 22:26

Wow, that's a really good line! congratulations! I hope it's a sticky one for you. Call them Frank after their place of conception Wink

kikisparks · 21/07/2018 22:27

Huge congratulations!! I have PCOS and blessed with DS but been trying 5 years since him. Had HSG in May DH awaiting SA. Had All Inclusive holiday in June ate drank all around us got BFP on Tues!!! 😄💐🎉

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 22/07/2018 06:15

Re. the scan, with my first we could see a tiny, tiny blob at 5 weeks. With my second (and after a ruptured ectopic so I was very keen to see something in the right place), we didn't. A week later and there he was, heartbeat and all.

Frazzled2207 · 22/07/2018 07:33

Congratulations lovely news

sexnotgender · 22/07/2018 07:43

Congratulations!

VillageFete · 22/07/2018 08:32

Thanks all, and huge congrats to those who also were told chances were slim & then magically conceived!!

I should be approx 4 weeks 5 days, my clearblue digital is saying 1-2 weeks pregnant. Should I worry? I had an early (IVF) miscarriage in February, well a chemical pregnancy really, and that said 1-2 weeks at this point.

qumquat · 22/07/2018 08:38

Clear blue will always be two weeks under so I don't think that's a reason to worry. Congratulations!!

OurMiracle1106 · 22/07/2018 08:43

Congratulations.
I also suffer with PCOS. I now have a 8 year old who is my miracle.

BessMarvin · 23/07/2018 14:08

The digital tests are based on how long you've actually been pregnant. The number of weeks pregnant you are according to medical people counts from the first day of your last period. So the second one is is approx 2 weeks more.

Notquiteagandt · 23/07/2018 14:15

@VillageFete that is an amaizing strong clear line. Currently 9w4d after concieving in san francisco too Grin must be something in the water there!!

Nolagerformethanks · 23/07/2018 14:42

Ahh this is so lovely! Congratulations! I got a line like that at 3+6 and I'm now 16 weeks, time went so slowly at the start for me but it seems to be going at a crazy speed now. I wouldn't pay any attention to the clear blue tests, I was on 2-3 for ages when it should have been 3+, they are an expensive wage of money! SmileFlowers

Or even waste of money!
