Anyone know much about first response lines? A miracle has occurred 🙏🏼

A miracle has very possibly occurred!!! 4 years TTC, 2 years of infertility treatment, 1 IVF miscarriage, 1 negative IVF transfer and then all of a sudden today I get a positive test!! Naturally!! I have PCOS and one blocked tube so this is a miracle.

Last month I had a failed IVF cycle, just paid to start a brand new one, waiting for AF and then it would begin. All my drugs are at home ready to go. I was cleaning up today and found a spare test, decided because i’ve been using supplements to improve egg quality and there’s no sign of AF that i’d just use it on the off chance. The line came up straight away. I nearly passed out with shock.

Does this look like a good, strong line? Not sure how far gone I could be. Any idea what that line could indicate? I had a negative test on 14th June, stopped my IVF medication and had a bleed on 18th June so have obviously conceived at some point since then.

Good luck with the bloods OP. Those are strong lines on the tests.

ouchthatsmarted · 24/07/2018 10:30

Oooohh I have everything crossed for you!

Strawberrybelly · 24/07/2018 10:33

Good luck with the bloods.

VillageFete · 24/07/2018 11:06

Bloods were 275 which is apparently quite good for early pregnancy. Clearblue pick up on 200 as being 2-3 weeks. I was still 1-2 on Sun so at least I know they have risen! Going back Thurs for more. Dr was happy with internal, said everything felt as it should and said we wouldn’t see a pregnancy sac with bloods at 275, it’s too early yet.

That's great news.

GKite · 24/07/2018 11:44

You won't see anything until the pregnancy level is over 1000 is what I was told when I was having early scans done so definitely dont panic yet xx

Notquiteagandt · 24/07/2018 11:52

I was diagnosed with a pregnancy of unknown location with this pregnancy.

My 1st HCG blood test was at 360. Took a week for anything to show up. Even then was just a small sac with yolk and egg and fetal pole. But was all in the right place.

Few weeks later saw a wriggling featus and a strong heart beat.

Are they repeating your bloods in 48hrs?

Your hormones should be doubling. So thats what they look for.

Dont panic just yet. Easier said then done I know Flowers

VillageFete · 24/07/2018 13:25

Thanks all, yes repeating in 48 hours. I actually feel really confident. 275 seems fine considering i’m only approx 16dpo. Dr was happy with bloods. Providing all is well on Thurs when they’ve repeated bloods, they’ll bring me in for a scan in 2 weeks. Hopefully I may see a heartbeat then?

That sounds completely plausible and normal for 16dpo. You need 2500 hCG to see anything on a scan.

aliceinchunderland1 · 24/07/2018 15:30

Congratulations OP that's wonderful news xx

secretnames · 24/07/2018 15:33

lovely strong line! fingers crossed for ThursdayThanks

Downeyhouse · 25/07/2018 05:25

Those are fab levels for 16dpo!

Congratulations

Downeyhouse · 26/07/2018 21:41

How did today’s blood test go?

VillageFete · 26/07/2018 22:09

Thanks for asking Flowers They have risen to 672, so 144% increase. I’m thrilled with that!

They want to scan me next Friday. I will be classed as being 5w6d, but really I will have only conceived 3w6d ago. What should I expect to see if all is well? X

Notquiteagandt · 26/07/2018 23:21

Wonderful news Flowers. My 1st scan I was about 5w. I saw a yolk egg sac and fetal pole all in the right place. If you are nearer 6 youmay see a bit more. But ypu may find youre dates change. Ive been put back a week. Hense why couldnt see anything at 1st.

divainred · 26/07/2018 23:23

Sac no heartbeat 💗 unless 6 weeks

Downeyhouse · 26/07/2018 23:51

Wow 672! You are storming :)
Congratulations

Orlandointhewilderness · 26/07/2018 23:59

oh this is a wonderful thread! congratulations OP!! don't worry - you are falling in completely normal parameters and proceeding well!

krisskross · 27/07/2018 00:00

Same test as me, same double line as me and I'm lying next to 15 month old DS. Congratulations!

Loonyluna16 · 27/07/2018 00:09

@villagefete this was my 5w6d scan, I’m 33 weeks today! Congratulations Flowers

VillageFete · 27/07/2018 07:44

Thanks all so much, you’re really helping me to enjoy this a bit more, rather than fretting all the time.

So I guess I shouldn’t panic if there’s no heartbeat at 5w6d, but I should expect to see yolk sac and fetal pole? Roll on next Friday Star

BertieBotts · 27/07/2018 09:21

Yes 5w6d pregnant is 3w6d since conception :)

You might see a heartbeat at 5w6d, but yes don't get worried if you don't. You should at least see a yolk sac.

rainbowstardrops · 27/07/2018 10:09

What a fantastic thread?!!!
I have my fingers firmly crossed for you and sending all the best wishes in the world! Thanks

Pinkgeorge · 03/08/2018 10:12
