Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
lmx0 · 19/07/2018 10:20

@splendidsqueak7 my feet are the same awful isnt it!! Shoes are not my friends atm!! But i think its normal eps for heavily preg ladies and this heat does not help one little bit!!

splendidsqueak7 · 19/07/2018 12:00

Thanks guys. That’s reassuring: it’s definitely not sudden swelling! To add to my fret levels I’ve just had to go home from work: had a slight bladder control issue! I’d just been for a wee and then felt a gush after I’d pulled my leggings up....I think it was just wee. Mildly mortified - working from home now. Second trimester was much less icky!

lifechangesforever · 19/07/2018 12:16

@splendidsqueak7 my feet were (and even post birth are somewhat still) massively swollen - to the point I couldn't wear anything but flip flops or walk more than 10 minutes without being in severe pain.

I did have high blood pressure & protein in urine but it was completely separate to the feet. It's more if they become suddenly swollen. The heat really hasn't helped.

I'm still in hospital, Thea has tongue tie and therefore cannot breastfeed, plus she simply hasn't been interested in it. I've been having to hand express and feed to in a syringe, which I can only say hard work!! We've started machine pumping this morning though and she's drank from a bottle with an orthopaedic teat, which has done the trick so we may be allowed home. She will be getting the tie cut next week but I think I've already made the decision to express only - we'll see.

I've probably slept 4 hours in the past 3 days since the first contraction started, just want my home now. It's hard to believe that really though, she was only born yesterday!!

Good luck to everyone else who's due dates are starting to look or who are seeing signs of labour!

SlimGin · 19/07/2018 12:38

I hope you get some rest soon @life I can't imagine how exhausted you are! But glad little Thea's managed the bottle so hopefully home is not a distant reality.

@beard thinking of you!

@splendid I sometimes have similar when going to the toilet, after washing my hands have another leak. I think it's something to do with position of baby and the bladder not being able to get all of the wee out when sitting on the toilet then comes out when you stand up. Could be wrong though. Enjoy your day off work!

LostMyBaubles · 19/07/2018 15:02

Splendid its this heat. If you get sudden swelling then contact mw

Life hope uou get some sleep soon

Beard good luck!

How is everyone else?

Im still leaking
So my plan is to walk take undies off and if I feel it down my leg will go hosp.

Im not feeling like I need a wee (not weeing huge amounts either so doesn't seem like that)
Ive not long been for a wee and could feel it a little.

How is everyone?

lmx0 · 19/07/2018 18:30

@lifechangesforever im glad that Thea is taking a bottle for you and you are both doing well and hopefully you'll get home & some sleep soon!!!

@LostMyBaubles peeing is a real pain in the bum im finding most of the time its only a dribble really but the discomfort that little dribble causes is awful!! Hows your leaking now?

Im okay today (wasnt this morning hated the world and was very grumpy) anyone else sick of the tiredness? Im feeling i need a nap everyday and its really annoying me!! Also my mother is doing my head in a bit too texting around 3 times a day 'you okay?' Sometimes i just want to scream at people leave me alone my baby will come when shes ready!!

SlimGin · 19/07/2018 19:34

@lmx0 I bet around due date people are constantly asking 'baby here yet???' Ooh that's gonna annoy me!

No complaints today having a nice day cleaning the house, paid a boy to do the garden though 'cause of my phobia of spiders, but let's blame it on the heat Wink
Yesterday had a lovely 'oh you've definitely put weight on' comment, so I'm feeling like I should watch what I eat a bit more (currently stuff my face every day) but I don't see the point anymore?

LostMyBaubles · 19/07/2018 19:45

Slim im noy due yet and everyone is askimg me lol

Imx0
Still happening. Changed my undies 4x today. Gonna go get checked out

TheGrumpySquirrel · 19/07/2018 19:49

Let us know how you get on @LostMyBaubles !

I now have carpal tunnel in my right hand. So painful. What I imagine arthritis to feel like. No doubt caused by the heat making my wrists swell

lmx0 · 19/07/2018 20:04

@SlimGin how rude!! Some people either need their eyes testing or their gubs glued shut!!

@LostMyBaubles let us know how you get on!!

@TheGrumpySquirrel ohh nothing as bad

Vampyress · 19/07/2018 20:41

37.1 weeks here with 3rd ds and so done in now. Have a 14 month old and beginning to wonder if our grand plan of "let's get all the phases out of the way whilst we are already in the chaos" was quite as wise as it seemed 9 months ago Blush. Baby measured 3 weeks ahead last week and is wreaking havoc on my insides as he is big enough to head butt my cervix at the same time as smacking my ribs leaving me breathless and faint, definately been my hardest pregnancy of all three. Husband has thankfully been an absolute hero with our youngest though and been doing all the heavy lifting as I am so much less mobile this pregnancy. I cant decide if my pubic region feels like it's cracking like an egg or being punched into oblivion by an invisible entity (maybe it's a nice cocktail of both) but it makes carrying our toddler a nightmare by the evening. I am wise enough not to wish the pregnancy away as the fatigue of a newborn isn't a walk in the park either but I really hope this wee man doesn't end up overdue like his big brothers. Hope it cools down for all us expectant mummy bears xxx

LostMyBaubles · 19/07/2018 21:50

I rang the hosp.
They think its waters leaking as its been going on for a few days

Sat here now waiting to be triaged

Mw on the phone was lovely

lmx0 · 19/07/2018 22:38

@Vampyress welcome and congrats!! Sounds like you've your hands full but great you've a great dh to help!! And ouch sounds really uncomfortable hopefully babies time keeping skills are better than his brothers!!

@LostMyBaubles glad your getting seen too let us know how you get on

LostMyBaubles · 19/07/2018 23:50

Sat here contracting a fair bit around every 5-6 mins have been since 9.50 but thr bloody trace didnt pick them all up as thr pink thing flipped over so wasnt doing anything

TheGrumpySquirrel · 19/07/2018 23:56

What are you now? 34 weeks? @LostMyBaubles

LostMyBaubles · 20/07/2018 00:58

33 weeks today

Theyve checked and they can see some extra discharge but not waters which is good.

Another fibro nectin has been done as I'm contracting and they want to be 100% its nothing

3rd one this pregnancy lol. 🤔

LostMyBaubles · 20/07/2018 01:54

A bit confused but heyho
Thankfully not waters
But still have some tightenings albeit not as regular and the fibronectin test has actually come back positive this time but a low positive (was previously neg x2)
Now its at 35 according to notes which I assume is 35% and he just kept saying if yiu get 2 contractions every 10 mins come back. Come back if big gush of water or reduced movements

I did tell him before that they were every 4 mins. Thankfully they arent as frequent

He was worried about his position. Still transverse and he saif unlikely to move as hes been there a while and its an emergency if i go into labour

Now home to bed

lmx0 · 20/07/2018 04:53

@LostMyBaubles thats great to hear that its not your waters hopefully baby stays put until you are term im sure your glad to be back home again can be very tiring waiting around hospital

Im up at this time with tea & toast as i was blooming starving!!!

LostMyBaubles · 20/07/2018 10:57

Thank you!
Was just a little worrying how he mentioned all the reasons why needed to go to hosp asap if those other things happened

Like now. Im in pain. Lower back, stomach plus the odd tightening. I cant just run back to the hosp though. I have other dc to think about. So goimg to have some paracetamol and prob a little sleep with youngest later see how i get on

LostMyBaubles · 20/07/2018 10:58

Tea and toast 😋
All i wanted last night was garlic bread lol

lmx0 · 20/07/2018 15:37

@LostMyBaubles hope the paracetamol helped!!

Ive had a horrible day been very weepy so thought id pick myself up by getting ready and taking myself out for a coffee and to read a book for an hour or two bliss! Only to order my coffee and cake and take it upstairs where its normally quieter only too nearly trip at the bottom of the stairs which i recovered so no problem only to reach nearly the top of the stairs to trip coffee and cake went flying all over me and yes you guessed it upstairs was very busy!!!! A couple of very nice ladies did come to help and made me go sit down but of course being heavily pregnant the flood gates started (even with me trying my blooming hardest to hold them back!) However the cake was awesome!! (Thankfully i got free replacements!)

LostMyBaubles · 20/07/2018 16:26

Imx0 Flowers youre brave for going upstairs with cake and coffee!!
Hope you didnt hurt yourself and glad hou got free replacements!

Are you feelimg any better

lmx0 · 20/07/2018 16:40

Wont be doing it again!! Only went upstairs as its normally quieter and thought would be good reading spot really wanted to get up and run away (or waddle as fast as i could) feel a little bit better bit achy but cant complain how are you feeling now?

SlimGin · 20/07/2018 20:31

I would have cried too @lmx0 Not what you want when you're trying to cheer yourself up! Glad you're ok though, did you manage to relax at home?

lmx0 · 20/07/2018 21:58

@SlimGin i went and bought myself some new makeup as i was a bit panda eyed so thought id invest in a good waterproof mascara!! Yes me DH & Ddoggie went for a walk which helped thankfully
