When is morning sickness going to hit me?

Hi

So I am 5 weeks 4 days and although I’ve had a couple of moments of feeling sick, I’ve not had anything what I’d imagine morning sickness to be like.

In my head I expect it to hit me in the face on Wednesday as soon as i reach 6 weeks but I know it doesn’t work like that 🙈

When did you experience it?

I never had any. Some people don’t. So keep your fingers crossed Grin

Beaverhausen · 17/06/2018 21:16

Do not wish for It, I had morning sickness non stop for my first 5 months.

CarbonatedBeverageFiend · 17/06/2018 21:17

Ooo I hope not!

I’ve not had any major symptoms so far, just dizziness, cramps and extremely sore boobs

I had nothing more than mild nausea, usually first thing or after a bowel movement Blush, which was easily cured by eating something promptly.

Starlight345 · 17/06/2018 21:20

I was blooming till 7 weeks the developed hyperemisis

AnotherOriginalUsername · 17/06/2018 21:23

I'm almost 16 weeks and haven't even had a hint of nausea!

upsydaisysister · 17/06/2018 21:25

6 weeks to the day for me! I was only actually physically sick once but felt nauseous all day and night. The only thing that helped was to eat something unhealthy.
I was lucky and it went at 11 weeks.
Now I'm coming into third trimester and starting to feel nauseous again but it's different... More of a fainting sickness where I have to sit down.
Good luck! Fingers crossed you don't get it badly!

BikeRunSki · 17/06/2018 21:27

At 6 weeks I told my sister that I was concerned that I felt so well, something must be wrong.

At 7 weeksi was in hospital on a drip with hyperemisis.

Give it time....

If the many, many mothers I know, only 1 truly was not affected by morning sickness.

hiccupgate · 17/06/2018 21:33

Pray it doesn't happen to you. I have been feeling sick for more than two weeks non-stop and it is awful. Heartburn has just kicked-in as well. The thought of another month or so of this is making me want to weep.

riceandpeas123 · 17/06/2018 21:39

I never had it - just queasiness and I had to psych myself up to brush my teeth as it made my stomach flip ☺️ fingers crossed you don't get it!

gryffen · 17/06/2018 21:41

First baby in 2014 and never had any.

Currently 32 weeks with second and very minor nausea at start but from 30 weeks in spewing at moments notice lol

First dc was girl, this is a boy lol

xoguineas · 17/06/2018 21:43

I never had any either! Had a few moments where I felt a bit nauseous but nothing major. I felt very lucky as one of my friends was so sick she ended up in hospital! Totally different for everyone and apparently different with every pregnancy too!

Ginger1982 · 17/06/2018 21:47

Hit me at 10 weeks. Lasted a week then disappeared!

RayM · 17/06/2018 21:49

5 weeks when I got hypermesis. It was horrendous and lasted until 22 weeks. I hope you don’t get morning sickness!

susej · 17/06/2018 21:49

Hit me at 6 weeks. Slapped me in the face, it was so bad I cried Grin

unicornchaser · 17/06/2018 21:50

Don't wish for it but you may be lucky and miss it entirely!
21 weeks and not a hint of morning sickness or any symptoms aside from exhaustion. My scans and recently expanding stomach are the only thing that make me believe a little bit I am actually pregnant!

Hope you continue feeling well!

Celticlassie · 17/06/2018 21:51

I didn't have it. Most of my friends didn't have it either. You may be ok.

NeverTell9871 · 17/06/2018 21:59

I didn't have any! However a close friend of mine had it for 8 months solid. If nothing, count yourself lucky! Thanks

gamerchick · 17/06/2018 22:04

You might not. I puked once in early pregnancy my first 2 pregnancies and didn't in my third. Plenty of nausea and aversion to foods but little sickness.

Good luck

BalloonDinosaur · 17/06/2018 22:05

I was nauseous from about 8 weeks and it lasted for just over a month I think. I was never actually sick (and count myself incredibly lucky!) and it wasn't particularly morning specific. (But I work a mixture of day and night shifts, so that probably had something to do with it)

Fingers crossed for you!

silkpyjamasallday · 17/06/2018 22:08

I discovered I was pregnant at about 5 weeks, I’d been vomiting constantly day and night for 3 weeks and figured it wasn’t a stomach bug. I continued vomiting 10+ times a day for the full 40 weeks. Don’t wish it upon yourself, being pregnant was so awful because of it I won’t be having any more DC.

DailyMailFail101 · 17/06/2018 22:10

With my first baby I only had it for one day about at about 9 weeks, second time around I had it on and off throughout my pregnancy it was awful, hopefully you won’t experience any!

LMBOB · 17/06/2018 22:10

I've only had one pregnancy but I was very lucky in that respect. I only had a bit of nausea the week before finding out I was pregnant, after that nothing at all in terms of sickness!

Lamaitresse · 17/06/2018 22:41

You may not get it at all, and that doesn’t necessarily mean that anything is wrong if you don’t.
However, like an above poster, I congratulated myself at 5+6 that I hadn’t had any sickness, even writing it in my pregnancy diary. Boy did those words come back to bite me 😂 Morning sickness kicked in at 6 weeks and I started with hyperemisis after that 🤢
Good luck!!

Liz3891 · 17/06/2018 22:42

I've had no nausea or sickness at all. I'm 19 weeks now.
