Aww, can't wait to feel movement like that ladies! How exciting!

Athers666 · 23/07/2018 06:12

@clairehr it's soooo cool. The first trimester is pure hell with nothing but worry but once you can feel movement you can actually start to relax...a little bit 😂

clairehr · 23/07/2018 06:14

@Cakelaur Ha! It does! Wouldn't surprise me! Was bouncing around all over the place, it gave us a wave and then looked like it was huffing around trying to get settled to go to sleep. OH said it was like a "I'm here, hi, now leave me alone I'm trying to rest" 😂

clairehr · 23/07/2018 06:19

@Athers666 I bet it's incredible! And I love that at that point Dad can get involved a bit more too 😊 Isn't it something like at 16weeks baby starts to hear and recognise voices too? So they'll start responding to you both 😍

Patienceofatoddler · 23/07/2018 06:59

@clairehr so glad all is well.

@Cakelaur @Athers666 that's amazing!

I lie there in bed most nights hand on my tummy hoping I'm only 15 weeks though so realise it may be another couple.

I can't wait thoughBlush

Cakelaur · 23/07/2018 08:21

Haha! @Athers666 snap!! It's amazing. Mine was like weird twitches. Like nerve twitch that moves. But now I notice it more it's like little pokes and prods! 😍 such an amazing feeling! And I can't believe my OH got to feel it so early! None of the jabs have been as noticeable as the one he put his hand there for! And his face was priceless! 😍

@clairehr can I ask a tmi personal question? Was your bleeding just when wiping? I had the same this morning. Seems to have stopped altogether now. I called maternity unit they just said to keep an eye on it and doesn't sound too worrying. Hard not to worry though!

I went into full panic but back to normal now, except a little bit twingey.

Athers666 · 23/07/2018 11:09

@Patienceofatoddler Won't be long now and you'll be feeling the pokes and jabs too, so exciting! Wouldn't wish the first trimester on anyone, but the second is not so bad. I do feel much less exhausted now.

Alicejj8x · 23/07/2018 11:36

Just had my first midwife appointment where they did bloods went through family history blood pressure and wee sample
There was abit of protein found in my urine she said they will
Check it again at 16 weeks. Has anyone else had this or?

Due date is 20th F

clairehr · 23/07/2018 12:31

@Murderino Yes, my bleeding was on wiping. At first the EPU told me to sit it out as they wouldn't see me at 10 weeks, but when it continued and due to history they booked a scan.

They couldn't find a specific cause for it, just said that at this stage the placenta could be lying across the birth canal and just moving a bit causing the bleeding.

Murderino · 23/07/2018 14:07

@clairehr thanks - I think it's prob the same here, they said I'd need a referral for a scan. Seems to have completely stopped now which has left me a bit confused but grateful. I have my suspicions it's down to thrush. Still feeling nauseous and still have tender breasts so staying positive but the adrenaline/gut wrench when it happens is the worst. Been reading every bloody online article going today - 😫

Patienceofatoddler · 23/07/2018 15:56

When is everyone's due dates?

My due date is officially 15th January but I've never made it to 37 weeks before. Induced 36 with dd and 36 and 6 with ds due to Cholestasis.

I am 37 weeks on Christmas Day HmmSmile[santa]

Patienceofatoddler · 23/07/2018 15:58

@Athers666 I really hope it won't be long.

It's slowly feeling more real now - so glad 1st trimester is over but still not feeling great but think I am just busy / tired.

Need a holiday haha

Athers666 · 23/07/2018 16:32

December 15th 😁

Beck1988 · 23/07/2018 22:38

hayleyfx · 24/07/2018 08:28

12 weeks today and have my scan at 3pm. I’m so scared! I just want everything to be okay 🤞

Alicejj8x · 24/07/2018 08:40

What time does the scanning places open for you to be able to book 12 week scan does anyone know?

leanne9312 · 24/07/2018 08:43

19th December 🙂

Patienceofatoddler · 24/07/2018 09:06

@leanne9312 @Beck1988 ahh could be Christmas week babies to.

Although feels so so far off in this hot weather HmmConfused

I really feel for the ladies in the third trimester in this heat.

Patienceofatoddler · 24/07/2018 09:07

@Alicejj8x here the midwife books your 12 week scan and you get a letter in the post a few days (or weeks) later.

If your protocol is different with your primary care trust I would check with your community midwife.

Patienceofatoddler · 24/07/2018 09:08

Good luck @hayleyfx Smile

Alicejj8x · 24/07/2018 09:16

Had my scan. Baby is measuring 12 weeks with a heartbeat however there is something wrong despite seeing baby’s legs, arms, even little fingers and little one had hiccups during scan 😥 they’re not 100% sure but the back of baby’s skull is too large. I don’t know what this means. I’m being referred to Aberdeen and have to have several tests. They mentioned spina bifida and I’m thinking perhaps Down’s syndrome but they have no idea what is actually wrong. I’m so sad, confused and lost. I can’t believe this is happening. Sorry for bringing a downer to the thread, will stick around but may have to consider termination if something is seriously wrong 😭
