I wanna scan!

Cheers everyone, I think I'm taking the smallest dose of 75mg.

I'm bored of being high risk.

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 04/07/2018 20:37

I'm on aspirin too, but I have it on prescription. I didn't query it but I guess it is quite cheap to buy. Not noticed any side effects with it yet though.

Have my 16 week midwife appointment tomorrow and a scan tomorrow too. Very very anxious. Have thought I've felt flutters at times but now I think I'm imagining it. I have an awful feeling it's all going to go wrong again and the baby will have died. Definitely in need of some huddling!

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 04/07/2018 20:39

Cross post with Wiggle and missed your update! So glad the scan went well.

Athers666 · 04/07/2018 20:52

@wiggle4 Great news! Lol at the little bean not getting into position!
@spongebobgrannypants Wishing you all the best for your scan. Will be thinking of you.

peachesarenom · 04/07/2018 21:01

Good luck SpongeBobGrannyPants hope all goes well!

craftymum01 · 05/07/2018 00:15

I know a lot of people have been on to say they have lost symptoms, but I really don’t feel pregnant at all anymore. Had a scan last week and there was a heartbeat but had stomach flu all week and since then I feel the same as I did prepregnancy. Don’t want to fork out for another scan really but I’m 8+2 now and don’t even have the date for my dating scan through yet. Sorry for the rant. Feeling sorry for myself as I can’t sleep

clairehr · 05/07/2018 07:09

@craftymum01 How are you feeling this morning? It's so common to lose all symptoms around this time as the placenta starts to take over. Could you perhaps call your midwife and get some reassurance?

RedRobin7 · 05/07/2018 07:17

I'm 6 weeks today but still haven't really had any symptoms yet. I'm so scared that my scan at 8+5 is going to be bad news. I'm sure I felt more pregnant during my last pregnancy which ended at 12 weeks. Did anyone feel the same at 6 weeks and things are okay?

HidCat · 05/07/2018 07:19

Morning everyone. I hope you're all doing ok?

My husband's more nervous than he's let on. Had a good chat last night about telling immediate family and possibly paying for an early scan and he's scared to tell anyone (his Mum blabbed within a few days last time to a lady we know who luckily didn't pass it on) but of course I want to even with the slip up last time. I also want to tell my best friend and he's even unhappy about that. Doesn't want a scan as it would be harder for him if he'd seen it and we subsequently lost it but I really wanted a scan picture of the baby we lost as I have nothing tangible and if we'd had an early scan I would have that. We're such opposites! Told him that I'd see how my anxiety goes and we'll worry about it later. I'm going to ring the midwife today I think so I can at least speak to them!

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 05/07/2018 07:35

@craftymum01 I had a dip in symptoms around then, I'd say to enjoy it, but I know it's impossible. Give it a few days and see how it goes. I find weeks 9/10 quite bad for pregnancy symptoms but everyone really is different.

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 05/07/2018 07:37

I think you need to find some compromises with dh @HidCat. He sounds like he's being a little unreasonable, albeit understandable. Maybe you could agree not to tell anyone, and he could agree to the early scan?

craftymum01 · 05/07/2018 07:40

Thanks everyone. I don't have my midwife yet as I am consultant lead. Think I will just get on with things. As we know, what will be will be.

HidCat · 05/07/2018 07:54

@SpongeBobGrannyPants I think the main issue is he doesn't want to tell his Mum so telling others first would be a bit harsh. At this point I'm not overly worried but will talk to him again in a week or so.

Murderino · 05/07/2018 08:01

@craftymum01 I feel the same way. DH keeps asking if I feel pregnant and to be honest, if I didn't know I was I'd just think I was a bit tired and achy at the minute. Booking appt is tomorrow so hopefully will feel better after that.

My best friend just had her second DS after mc. She's very reassuring but did say I'd find new things to be anxious about all the way through so taking it a day at a time is the best way to go - so helpful to know we're all feeling the same way, more or less.

Murderino · 05/07/2018 08:04

@HidCat my DH is similar- doesn't want to tell his mum til 12 weeks. I like the idea but I didn't tell my mum I was pg last time and so couldn't bring myself to tell her about the mc and I don't want to have to go through it without her again.

I'm hoping for an early scan so we can compromise a bit. I do feel sorry for the DH/dps they must feel helpless and out of control a lot through this.

peachesarenom · 05/07/2018 10:09

HidCat I also feel really sad that I don't have a pic from my first pregnancy. Luckily I have my positive preggo test but I was literally about to chuck that out when the mc happened.

I think have a scan.

This bfp was just before my birthday and I told everyone at my birthday dinner because when my mc happened I went to friends and family for support, luckily my family knew but my friends didn't. I also wanted to enjoy/celebrate while things were going well incase it all went wrong again.

peachesarenom · 05/07/2018 10:11

Has anyone felt movement yet? I can feel my uterus through my belly and also it sometimes hurts if I cough but no movement yet. I'm 15+5. I really want a kick!

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 05/07/2018 12:24

Heard the heartbeat this morning at the midwife. She was so sweet. They wouldn't normally offer it at 16 weeks here but she could tell I was anxious about the scan today. Hopefully means I can enjoy this afternoon's scan a little bit. Well, maybe not enjoy as such, but won't be holding my breath until I see the baby move, like last time!

Alicejj8x · 05/07/2018 13:38

This may sound abit crazy but has anyone else had wavey lines on a preg test?

I'll include a pic but this is the first response test and the lines look very wiggly within the line if you get me

RedRobin7 · 05/07/2018 14:07

@Alicejj8x You really need to stop testing as you're going to drive yourself mad! There's two very obvious lines on there so you're definitely pregnant. It doesn't matter if one is darker than the other or if one is wavy! I understand you're anxious, we all are and I don't mean to sound harsh but you need to stop now it's not healthy!

Alicejj8x · 05/07/2018 14:15

@RedRobin7
I no but after my 2 losses the only way I knew something was wrong was to keep testing as the lines began to change drastically hence why I do test.

RedRobin7 · 05/07/2018 14:16

@Alicejj8x Sorry don't mean to upset you. Can see you're just very anxious and want to keep testing. Unfortunately the tests can't tell you that everything is going well. The waiting game is the hardest. Please stop testing though. We are all here to support you.

craftymum01 · 05/07/2018 15:52

So my midwife just called to book me in. I mentioned that I didn't feel pregnant and she wasn't concerned. Got an appointment with her in 2 weeks. Was quite good timing!

lolacola13 · 05/07/2018 19:55

Hi girls hand hold needed hcg came back at 21 on Tuesday , day of expected period or possibly period was expected yes the day after not sure. That was 14 dpo... not feeling v optimistic . This will be the second time in two months . Anyone any words of wisdom or knowdlge of hcg ? Googling didn't help at all . There's no specific number it should be apparently as it depends when u implanted . More bloods tomorrow to see if it's doubled or not but have to wait til Monday lunchtime for results xoxox

peachesarenom · 05/07/2018 20:42

I think all that matters is that the hcg doubles in 24 hours.
