Got to hear the heartbeat at the midwife today after worrying that I wouldn't! She didn't record the number in the book just that it had been heard and was regular. So emotional to hear! Almost killed me not to sob. After having spotting I've been worried sick.

He scan went good :) baby's ok thank goodness and they seen I'm having a boy!!!! Yey

Yay for a boy @leanne9312! How far along are you again? I'm also on daily aspirin and have had nosebleeds (well there has been blood when I've blown my nose) at times! I read something that said nosebleeds and bleeding gums are fairly common! I cut my leg shaving the other day and thanks to the aspirin it was like a blood bath-wouldn't stop!

@Athers666 did they let you record it? I took a video on my phone of the heartbeat and now whenever I'm feeling anxious I listen to it. Having said this, I am just about to leave for my scan and nothing is gonna help this anxiety!

How exciting lots of boys on the way!! Secretly hoping my little bub is gonna be a 🎀🎀🎀 but we won't know until birth!!

@Athers666 I'm glad they let you hear the heartbeat. Mine was about 157. They listened to mine too yesterday. Although I'm slightly spoilt because I have the doppler at home so I listen in WAY too often!! Haha

I think she said 120, but I'm not certain. She wasn't concerned anyway so in the normal range I guess. I have heard that lower heartrates can indicate a boy, but, might be totally not true. Are you not finding out @Cakelaur? I'm dying to know, lol, don't mind a bit either way but so curious!

People who take asprin, my GP advised me to take it and then said buy it over the counter. Does that sound normal?

@Athers666 I'm DYING to know!! But my OH doesn't want to know. So I wanna give him that. It's the only thing he's really pushed for. Plus either way we find out. Can't wait to see. 120 is within range. They say somewhere between 120-170 I think. And they SAY (old wives tale) below 140 is boy, above 140 is girl. But who knows!!

@peachesarenom yup. Sounds right. I think you get a dose of 75mg (don't quote me on that) they call it baby aspirin or I think you can get a normal aspirin and break it in half. But go with the dose your doc says. But it's cheaper to buy it over the counter.

I was advised to take aspirin as soon as I got a positive test to stop a miscarriage and have to take it until 28 weeks x

Congratulations @leanne9312 - that's lovely news! I am desperate for a 16 week private scan but really, really trying not to book.

@Cakelaur I know you've linked it before but where did you get your Doppler? Considering buying one (to stop myself constantly wanting scans 🙄)

Ah yes sorry @leanne9312 I missed that! Have 16 week specialist midwife next week but don't think I'm getting a scan.. though if I do I will definitely be asking if it's a boy or girl!

Little Baby L is growing just as he/she should be! Wouldn't stay still for scan or get into the position the woman wanted haha.

@peachesarenom I'm prescribed 150mg aspirin daily but by my consultant who obviously closely monitors me. I need to take it to 36 weeks
