Your best non-alcoholic drinks and wines please

Lovely MNetters, would be grateful for any and all suggestions of decent non alcoholic beverages please, especiallly ones that aren't too sweet. (Still have 8 months to go!)

So far, I've not found a substitute wine I like, all seem too sugary. But I have enjoyed Fever Tree Tonics (especially the pink one with angoustura bark) and Monte Rosso (a slightly bitter non-alcoholic Italian spritzer from Ocado). Are there any more good suggestions?

I've spotted the So Jennie 'luxury bubbles' in shops too, is that worth it for special occasions? Seems very pricey!

Fentiman's drinks in the little glass bottles are lovely, especially the rose lemonade.

Belvoir presses also great - particularly elderflower and their raspberry lemonade.

Nothing like san Pellegrino either to make you feel fancy 😎

Sainburys alcohol free wines are the nicest I've tasted, I have the white and it does taste more dry than the sweetness of a lot of the others I've tried from the supermarkets. Their AF fizz is good too!

teaping · 03/06/2018 16:56

Appletiser is my fav, it is sweet but has no added sugar. I dilute it a bit with some sparkling water x

happymummy12345 · 03/06/2018 17:01

I've heard the alcohol free koppaberg tastes exactly the same as the alcoholic version

BridgeFarmKefir · 03/06/2018 17:11

I really like kombucha drinks. They tend to be in health food shops or Waitrose, so harder to track down, but they're both good for your gut and tasty but not too sweet. They have a slight fizz (due to the fermentation ) and are usually flavoured with fruits - I had a pineapple and coconut one from Profusion that was delicious.

I hate sugary drinks too and the non-alcoholic beers just aren't doing it for me (I love beer, so I really thought they would)

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 03/06/2018 17:12

I like Beck's Blue.

FogCutter · 03/06/2018 17:12

Seedlip (non alcoholic gin) and tonic is lush.

FogCutter · 03/06/2018 17:13

And I also like becks blue, I sampled most non alcoholic beers when I was pregnant and this was my favourite one.

Nanny State beer by brew dog is really nice

OhDearMavis · 03/06/2018 17:14

Nanny state alcohol free lager
Frobishers rose and pomegranate
Tesco alcohol free sparkling wine
Belvoir rose lemonade
Seedlip alcohol free gin (but £££)
Will look out for monte rosso!

shins · 03/06/2018 17:20

I love Fentimans fiery ginger beer. I pour it over ice and bashed up mint leaves with a squeeze of lime. Fab.

Batinahat · 03/06/2018 17:20

Erdinger alcohol free is really delicious if you like lager/beer. Can usually get it in Morrisons and they sell it in all Wetherspoons. Tastes great! I also saw in the window of an Adnams shop today that they have just launched an alcohol free version of Ghost Ship which I am excited about!

Chimchar · 03/06/2018 17:23

I like elderflower cordial with water and ice.
I'm tee total. Diet Coke gets VERY tedious!
Most slightly posh places do a better range of non alcoholic drinks... I had a rhubarb and apple can the other day but I can remember the brand. It was really nice!
Congrats on your pregnancy btw! Smile

WonkyDonk87 · 03/06/2018 17:26

Currently sipping the Rawson's Retreat fizz (0.5 so not truly free as such) which I loved during lent.
Alcohol free cobra is nice, less of an aftertaste than becks blue. I'm tempted by the seedlip too.

keeponrunning85 · 03/06/2018 17:52

Seedlip is good although upsettingly a bottle costs the same as a bottle of upmarket gin.

I found some Belvoir juniper and tonic in Sainsburys last week which was nice and not sweet. Good if you're a gin and tonic fan.

Almostthere15 · 03/06/2018 17:57

I tried bees knees sparkling (white and rose) at the baby show and it was lovely. I've only found it at Ocado so far but it's reasonably priced (4 pound a bottle) and is such a lovely change because it's not too sweet.

SophieStripe · 03/06/2018 18:23

Such a great thread :-) nothing to add, but following!

Bethacus · 03/06/2018 18:25

We served up Scavi and Ray’s alcohol free prosecco to some guests the other week and they loved it! It’s not got the sweetness of some of the other alcohol free wines.

Doublechocolatetiffin · 03/06/2018 18:28

My go to drink for pregnancy was rose and elderflower cordial with tonic water and a couple of slices of cucumber. Not too sweet and very refreshing.

BarryTheKestrel · 03/06/2018 18:32

I'm currently enjoying a 'nanny state' by Brewdog. Very nice. Was at a wedding yesterday where they had Heineken 0.0 which was really nice as well. I haven't found an alcohol free wine I like yet though.

Downeyhouse · 03/06/2018 18:33

Finleys non-alcoholic Mojitos!

n0ne · 03/06/2018 18:33

Bavaria is the best 0% beer, I discovered

Mousefunky · 03/06/2018 18:34

Old mout do an amazing alcohol free cider

Tilliebean · 03/06/2018 19:19

I do enjoy the Kopparberg non-alcoholic cider, it does taste exactly like the boost version. Obviously very sweet though!

I’m not a beer drinker but got some sample cans of Innis and Gunn’s non-alcoholic beer, which my partner really enjoyed.

I tried some alcohol free fizz this weekend, not great but drinkable. Going to try the posh bottles of fizzy apple, which I think will be better.

Blondemother · 03/06/2018 20:31

Virgin Marys! Nice and spicy and you can almost believe there’s vodka in there.
