I seem to have gone off all my favourite foods! Even chocolate is hard to get down !

What foods are you managing to stomach? I need some fresh ideas!

Cheese on toast?

SoyDora · 30/05/2018 20:54

Very. And if I manage to force something down, I then can’t eat that particular food again because I associate it with feeling sick.
Quickly running out of options!

SoyDora · 30/05/2018 20:54

Very little that was supposed to say!

BetterEatCheese · 30/05/2018 20:56

I survived on Belvita breakfast biscuits

polkadotpixie · 30/05/2018 20:57

Salt & vinegar crisps were about all I could stomach

Bubblesblue · 30/05/2018 20:57

When I was pregnant jacket potatoes were a staple for me. The blander the better. My dh joked I was on a beige diet!

cheshiremama89 · 30/05/2018 21:00

When I was pregnant

  • Nutella crumpets
  • Tunnocks tea cakes
cheshiremama89 · 30/05/2018 21:00

Oh and those little scotch pancakes toasted with... you guessed it... LOADS OF NUTELLA

PerpetualStudent · 30/05/2018 21:03

Pasta with the tiniest smear of tomato sauce and grated cheese and peanut butter sandwiches on white bread worked for me. But I remember standing in the kitchen crying because being hungry was making me feel sick, but the thought of any food stuff I could imagine made me feel sicker :(
It’s a truely rotten time, hope you find a safe food soon!

SoyDora · 30/05/2018 21:04

But I remember standing in the kitchen crying because being hungry was making me feel sick, but the thought of any food stuff I could imagine made me feel sicker

This is how I’m spending most of my time at the moment!

illhavethat · 30/05/2018 21:14

Breadsticks dipped into Philadelphia. I’m basically grazing all day at the moment trying to keep the nausea away!

60sname · 30/05/2018 21:16

Lemon squash and salt and vinegar hula hoops

Wellthisunexpected · 30/05/2018 21:19

Salty savoury things. I've totally gone off anything sweet and tea and coffee.

SoyDora · 30/05/2018 21:19

Just remembered I sent DH to the shop for salt and vinegar chip sticks and strawberry ice cream the other day. I can’t enter a shop myself because the smell of the meat/fish aisle makes me vom.

Spanglyprincess1 · 30/05/2018 21:21

Ginger. Anything with ginger in it and bizarily marmalade for first trimester - can't stand it normally!

Stephisaur · 30/05/2018 21:23

Coco pops
Salted McCoy’s
Salted popcorn
Salted anything 😂
Sandwiches (so far: chicken, turkey, turkey dinosaur and corned beef. All with marg on white bread)

I can usually manage my evening meal, but it leaves me feeling rubbish of an evening so I prefer to graze if possible!

meel · 30/05/2018 21:23

I’m surviving on a diet of chewy fruit sweets at the moment!

I keep wanting tomato based foods, but then I end up getting mouth ulcers. Tomato soup, tomato salsa dip with crisps, tomato sandwiches, it goes on.

I’ve also got a pack of breadsticks next to the bed because I feel worst first thing in the morning when I’ve got an empty stomach.

I can’t even open the fridge at the moment with heaving, thank god for DP doing all the cooking. He’s picking up a friend from the airport tonight and I threw up three times just getting some leftover soup out of the bloody fridge.

SoyDora · 30/05/2018 21:26

meel I feel your pain, I can’t open the fridge without being sick either. DH has been doing all the cooking but he’s away with work until Friday now so I’m going to have to cook for the DC at the very least. Not sure how I’m going to do it!

Sunflower2018 · 30/05/2018 21:39

Toast (thick warburtons) with thin ham. Pretty much a ham toasty but without the cheese x

meel · 30/05/2018 21:40

Oh I feel for you Soy - at least I only have myself to worry about. I’d be really struggling with other DC around. Although DCat did bring in a rabbit and beheaded it while I was busy throwing up. I took one look at it, ran back to throw up and by the time I came out again, DDog had eaten the remains Envy they aren’t being particularly helpful to the situation!

Redrosebelle · 30/05/2018 21:42

I found even at my worst I could eat fruit. Strawberries, watermelon and pineapple. Orange juice too, and frozen berries. After that I liked lots of cold food. Cold sandwiches and salads. Nothing cooked because it smelled too bad!

crazycatbaby · 30/05/2018 21:44

I ate a lot of fruit, granola and yogurt with nectarines cut up on top (?!), cereal, toast, crumpets and dairylea 🤷🏻‍♀️

ProseccoPoppy · 30/05/2018 21:47

When I was pregnant the first time white bread toast with marmite worked well. That and salted crisps. Salty carbs, basically.

TeaPleaseBob · 30/05/2018 22:23

When my sickness was really bad I survived on flat cola, salted crisps and McDonald’s chips if someone was passing 🙈
Definitely go see about anti sickness, it took a while but even being able to eat small amounts helped me feel a bit better.

jamsyoink · 30/05/2018 22:35

Cream of mushroom soup! Yummy
