liveinthemo · 24/04/2018 08:24

@pumpkinbump first baby for me too and I'm petrified of giving birth!! It's actually keeping me up at night thinking about itBlushxx

0310Star · 24/04/2018 08:56

I thought id be terrified about the birth, but I have been so uncomfortable for a few weeks now (I seem to be carrying pretty big, got midwife tomorrow so going to see what she says about whether or not I am within normal size) and I have to say I am looking forward to getting my body back!
My main issue now seems to be sciatica, restless legs, and pelvic pain Sad

We are having a girl and I am beyond excited now!! I never thought id be one to buy loads of pink, but I cant seem to help myself Blush

BeardofZeus · 24/04/2018 09:05

Hello!! 27+1 today and reminding myself that although full term is only 10 weeks away, could be another 15 weeks of pregnancy to go.... starting to get some very strong movements but yet to see flailing limbs (which kinda freaks me out)! Sleeping like a log which is good because I don’t deal well with no sleep Grin have been suffering from carpal tunnel in my right hand when I wake up, and despite pillows and props and left sided starts, I always wake up on my back.. oh well! Can’t stress about things you have no control over really Smile

Anybody feel in the same boat of in answer to the “are you excited?” question of “no, not really, I still have weeks to go!” I dont want to get too excited just yet as I still have 8 weeks at work, but whenever I watch OBEM (FTM trying to absorb as much information as possible from docudrama probably not wise but hey!) all I think is - i want my baby!

Waterfountain97 · 24/04/2018 09:27

Due 14th of July and having a little girl 💗 Suffering with lack of sleep due to restless legs , starting to feel very big now ( as everyone keeps telling me) so excited to meet her finally 👨‍👩‍👧 28+3

BrutusMcDogface · 24/04/2018 09:35

I'm due in July too! Feels like ages away to me! I can't wait to finish work and get all ready for the new arrival.

Z - teal is a beautiful colour for a boy or a girl!

Bluebirdsky · 24/04/2018 09:45

I am due the 1st July, also my first baby. I am doing an online hypnobirthing course and watching positive birth videos to try and help me be less anxious about the birth.
Just turned 30 weeks and starting to notice its becoming a little harder to pick things up off the floor and walk for long periods! Glad it's cooled down a little as wasn't easy to sleep in the very warm weather!

Spanglyprincess1 · 24/04/2018 09:49

Due 7th July with first and very nervous!

CoodleMoodle · 24/04/2018 09:55

17th here too! We've already got 4yo DD and this time we're having a DS. Really need to work out some names for him - we've got nothing so far! But she's SO excited about being a big sister, and constantly playing babies because "I need to practise, Mummy!"

We're going to Peppa Pig World at the end of May as a last big treat before DD's brother arrives. Went last year for her 3rd birthday and it was fantastic, but I wasn't 30 odd weeks pregnant then Grin

MrsSPx · 24/04/2018 10:03

Due 24 July here Smile First baby and currently sat in the midwife office for 2 hours for my glucose tolerance test! The joys of pregnancy!

Good luck to all Thanks

lozdaniellexxx · 24/04/2018 10:33

Hey girls :)

Due 9th July with my first baby and its a girl!

Starting to feel real now we are having our nursery furniture put together! Got a horrible cold and suffering with pelvic pain :(

Hope you are all keeping well :)

lmx0 · 24/04/2018 11:18

@MrsSPx oh let me know how it goes!! Ive mine Friday and dreading it!!!! Hopefully it will go quick for you

Bluebirdsky · 24/04/2018 13:18

@MrsSPx I had mine on Thursday of last week and found out today that results are normal which is a relief!

@CoodleMoodle I think that's really lovely to have a special day out for your DD before her brother arrives. I am sure that there will be plenty of places for you to sit down on your way round.

Bluebirdsky · 24/04/2018 13:20

@BeardofZeus try going onto YouTube and searching positive birth stories and watching some of the videos that come up, less scary and more inspiring than watching OBEM.

If you are going to watch it just remember that it is dramatised to make it more exciting for the TV.

Katyx3 · 24/04/2018 17:10

Hi girls congratulations Smile
I'm FTM expecting a son 8th July
Had a really tough pregnancy so far, just want him here now as the closer it's getting the more worried I am getting haha
Suffer with borderline personality disorder and would actually like a c section (stupid I know!) as I need to be organised but I will do what ever is best for baby, and don't want to be suffering with recovery! Xxx

MrsSPx · 24/04/2018 17:38

@lmx0 it wasn't too bad. Boring having to wait around for 2 hours but I just had my phone for music and to play on! The drink isn't half as bad as was made out to me, a sweet lemony drink is all it is. I have horrendous veins too but other than that went smoothly and I will find out Thursday if anything is to worry about. You will be fine 😊 xx

@Bluebirdsky Awh that's so good to hear! I should find out on Thursday.. Fingers crossed! Xx

Bluebirdsky · 24/04/2018 18:53

@MrsSPx completely agree with you about the drink, it was very sweet but absolutely fine!

Fingers crossed you get good results too :)

lmx0 · 24/04/2018 21:16

@MrsSPx thats not to bad im sure the waiting to awful, thanks 😊 hope you get good results thurs!! And thats really quick on getting them back which is great

appletree100 · 24/04/2018 21:20

20th july here.... Feels like forever away!! I feel so big and i really would rather not to out any more weight on, but i know that is not going to happen....as i sit here considering blutting a crumpet on Grin

TiggeryBear · 24/04/2018 21:33

Hi all. Due DC2 (team yellow!) on 19th July but will be having an ELCS the week before - 39wks due to pre-eclampsia with DD(now aged 2yrs) I've got my GTT tomorrow as well as a physio appointment for SPD 😭 (I'm already on bloody crutches) tbh I'm feeling really fed up with pregnancy now; although on the plus side I don't appear to be suffering with the same (horrendous) level of nausea & vomiting that I suffered whilst pregnant with DC1. So maybe it's a boy this time?

BeardofZeus · 24/04/2018 21:39

Is a GTT a standard pregnancy test? I’ve not heard of it before?

Springersprung · 24/04/2018 21:42

Hi all,
Due 16th July with my first. Also on team yellow. Had my GTT today, so waiting nervously for the results, although got no reason to suppose I I have GD.

Springersprung · 24/04/2018 21:44

@BeardofZeus it is done for women considered at risk - older mums, high bmi, babies appearing to have high growth/weight, diabetes in family

Springersprung · 24/04/2018 21:45

Oops, bold fail

lifechangesforever · 24/04/2018 21:48

18th July with my first - team pink here!
There is another July thread that has hundreds of comments so might be worth popping in over there too Smile (I have no idea how to link it though!).

I've got pretty sever SPD, in tears most days with it but just keep telling myself it will be so worth it! Baby also measuring a week and a day ahead so may have to have a growth scan if it's the same in 2 weeks time at my next appointment.

Third trimester starts tomorrow! Grin

Unknown5432 · 24/04/2018 21:50
