Freaking out! I've been separating from my ex husband. Last time we had sex was about 5 months ago. I've been feeling baby like sensations in the stomachHmm im breastfeeding so Still no period. I just took the pregnancy test And There was faint line. Barely noticible but it was there! I'm so scared I don't want another baby. Is it possible to be far along and not know ? Is it possible for the line to be really faint at 5months . I'm obese so I big belly normally. Please help

Hope you are ok OP. Is it possible at all for you to have conceived in the last 2 weeks? X

Lovelyivy · 04/04/2018 13:12

We didn't have sex in 4-5months

It's really faint. I took another 2 tests both negative. What do you think? I really hope I'm not pregnant 😢

Hopefully it was a dodgy test then! I would go to the doctors just to double check they will do blood tests or refer for a scan. Goodluck OP x

I think it looks like a dodgy test, I think I can see 3 lines. I've heard if you're far along you might need to dilute your urine to get a test to work but not sure if that's a myth.

I don't know about my cycle - I still didn't get a period from my last pregnancy (9 months ago). We didn't use protection but he pulled out ... I'm just hoping I'm not pregnant...Sad

It’s very possible to be pregnant and have absolutely no idea. My DM didn’t know about me until she was 5 months pregnant. Likewise I know a woman who got to 7 months before she found out. Generally the more overweight you are, the easier it is not to know (although my DM and the other woman were incredibly slim so it was really quite mind boggling!)

I would suggest trying a different brand of test using the first pee of the day. Failing that, go see your GP. Good luck.

The best way for you to be sure is through a blood test from a professional. As someone said HCG levels peak at around 12 weeks then slowly decrease after that.

It is possible to get pregnant if you are breasfeeding, haven't had a period and use unprotected sex even using the pull out method (which is dodgy at best).
The number of women who fell pregnant after birth due to BF misconceptions is staggering.

However you've had several negatice tests and one faint line one so for confirmation I would seek professional advice and be done with it. A friend of mine found out at 30 weeksfrom the doctor because she found it hard to run a half marathon so decided to get checked up. That was quite a shocker!

Mrstobe90 · 05/04/2018 06:46

The only way to know for sure is to go to your gp and ask for a blood test or scan.
The further along in a pregnancy you are, the less reliable a hpt is.

Lovelyivy · 05/04/2018 12:23

Thank you everyone I'm going to GP this afternoon just to be sure. Wish me luck - hopefully I will know the result ASAP

It can happen I didn't find out I was pregnant with my DS until I was about 5 months gone. Go to your GP and just go from there.

Buddyelf · 05/04/2018 12:29

Good luck OP - I hope you get the answer you want Flowers

Lovelyivy · 05/04/2018 13:32

So I called gp for appointment. They usually do appointments if you call 13-13.30 and they said they are fully booked and gave me appointment in two weeks Angry. What now? Should I just wait ?

OP posts:
ClangerTwanger · 05/04/2018 13:35

Hey op, if I was you I’d buy a digital test or a first response test just to put your mind at ease either way. You need an answer and waiting two weeks isn’t going to do you any good! I wish you lots of luck xxx

CobaltRose · 05/04/2018 13:35

I'd book an urgent appointment if I were you.

Bobbiepin · 05/04/2018 13:37

Have you got a walk in clinic you can go to? Good luck!

Lovelyivy · 05/04/2018 13:40

There is no walk in clinic around. I wanted to book emergency appointment but they said it's all booked. I've done two more tests both negative.

Have you had any other symptoms?

cindersrella · 05/04/2018 13:44

Do you have a local family planning centre?

Lovelyivy · 05/04/2018 13:45

I felt some movements- but I might just be overthinking it...

OP posts:
BigRedBoat · 05/04/2018 13:46

Could you pay for a private scan?

Sushirolls · 05/04/2018 13:46

I'd request a call back from your Dr if there are no appts x

cathyandclare · 05/04/2018 13:47

If you're 4-5 months pregnant, you should be able to feel your womb. It comes out of the pelvis after 3 months and reaches the tummy button at around 20 weeks. Can you feel a swelling in your lower tummy?

Aprilmightmemynewname · 05/04/2018 13:49

Stang up straight, lean back and feel above your pubic line.
At ten weeks I could feel my uterus just above - not in its usual place! If you are feeling movement your uterus must be out of your pelvis and you would feel it!
If it's normal you are prob just stressing and it's wind!!
