Was your 3rd bigger than 1st and 2nd? also was your 3rd earlier than 1st and 2nd?

Both my DS's were born at 39 weeks and DS#1 was 8lb 4oz and DS#2 8lb 14oz, and PG (27+5) with my 3rd! I've been told that 3rd babys tend to be bron earlier than 1st and 2nd, but did you find this with your 3rd? and was your 3rd bigger than your 1st and 2nd? Thanks!

DD1 was 8lb 5oz 14 days over

DD2 was 5lb 9oz 14 days over

Dd was 5lb 14 and a half 36 weeks

Ds1 7lb 14 and a half 38 weeks

Ds2 8lb 2 39 weeks

I can't really answer the question about the 3rd being earlier as mine were all induced but my 3rd baby was actually the smallest by nearly 1lb.

I was told that babies get about half a pound bigger with each one yuu have.

OOOh hope thats true about 3rd being earlier!!! I have told my consultant i don't want to be induced if I go on like I did with DDs but am quite worried about something happening if I don't.

DS1 5lbs 5ox induced at 38 weeks
ds2 6lb 11.5oz born naturally at 39 weeks

ds3 7lbs 4oz born 7 days late

Sorry - not my experience.
DS1 induced due to high BP but was overdue by then just by 1 day and they think he would have breen about another 4 or so. 9lbs 11.

DD1 - 9lbs10 and one wk late.

DD2 only 8lbs4oz and 8 days late.

My m/w said that maybe because you get progresively busier with each pg. that the babies may be smaller. My 4th is currently measured on 50th centile at growth scans (although my bump is HUGE!).

ds1 on time.

ds2 10 days late

dd1 4 days late - and the largest, but only by 1lb.

DS1 10lb 10oz, 9 days late
DS2 10lb 4oz, 4 days over, but induced

God help me this one isn't any bigger.... please!

1st ds 9lbs 1oz......3 days late
2nd ds 10lbs.........18 days late!!!
3rd dd 9lbs 4oz......induced 2 weeks early because of concern of her size

In my experience dd1 was the heaviest and the latest;
DD1 8lb 9oz, 11 days late
DD2 7lb 9oz 9 days late
DD3 7lb 9oz on time!

My 3rd was exactly the same weight and born at same gestation as my second. My first was lighter and later than the others.

Yes DS3 was 2 lbs heavier than both his brothers...and no, he was only 7 days early, as opposed to both brothers being 10 days early.

ds1 7lbs 10oz, 2 weeks early

dd 8lbs 1oz, 3 weeks early (dread to think what she would have weighed if she had gone to term!)

ds2 10lbs 4oz, 1 week late

DS1 6 weeks early and 5.8lbs
DD 1 week early and 8.12lbs.
DS2 1 week early and 7.4lb.

dd1 - 6lb 1.2 oz born at 38 weeks ( emergency c-section)

dd2 - 9lb 7 oz - born 41+3 weeks ( planned section)

dd3 - 8lb 4oz - born 39weeks (planned section)

3rd was earlier - he was 39weeks, 6 days but not bigger - he was in between first and second.

First was smallest and 41 weeks, 1 day
Second biggest and 42 weeks.
