Are second babies always bigger (in general) than the first?

DS was 8lbs 12 and was C- section as he was breech. Am considering vbac for second, but am terrified this baby will be even bigger! Ouch!

Dd1 7lb 8oz, dd2 7lb 9oz

DD was smaller and neater than DS who came first

DS#1 8lb and 4oz,
DS#2 8lb and 14oz,
yes second was much bigger!

Hmm... this is what I am afearin' of!!!!

dd was 7 lbs 4 ozs

ds was 8 lbs 10 ozs but was waaaaay easier to push out

both of them had their arms over their faces too which i doubt helped!

I asked this a wee while ago, general consensus was yes look here

Both mine were 8lb 4oz - same as me!!!

ds, my first was heavier and bigger than my second, a girl.

Both of mine were the same.

Certainly that is what I alwasy heard. Ds1 was 9lb 3oz, ds2 was 7lb 4oz... both by c/section.

My first two were 9lb 12oz. My third was 9lb 6oz but 3 weeks early.

Dd was 5lb 14 and a half but she was 36 weeks and stayed in scbu, ds1 was 7lb 14 and a half at 38 weeks and ds2 was 8lb 2 at 39 weeks.

My second was smaller - 7lb 7oz to my first of 8lb 11oz - and she was 8 days late whereas my first only 2 days late. My friend has 3 and they have gotten smaller as they have gone along.

dd1 - 6lb 3oz
dd2 - 8lb 13oz
dd3 - 9lb 8oz

Ds1-9lbs 2oz(10 days late)
Ds2-7lbs 13oz(9 days early)

8lbs, then 9lbs 8oz
It's the size of the head that matters!

DS1 12 days late, 8lb 15oz
DS2 11 days late, 8lb 6oz
DD 11 days late, 7lb 1oz

DS - 7 lb 13, at 39 + 1

DD - 7 lb 8, at 40 weeks exactly !

so, no!!

there is no reason you cannot give bnirth to this baby vaginally....you has c.s for breech, which is not an ongoing medical condition, and does not indicate that a VBAC would not be possible...unless this one is breech too

get thee to a library and get out everything by Ina May Gaskin, Sheila Kitzinger and Janet Balaskas.....give yourself the knowledge and confidence to go for it, to believe you can do this ! and possibly look at having a doula

dd2-8lb40z but i lost 2 stone at beginning of this pregnancy from sickness so actuley weighed less after pregnancy than before!

2nd birth much easier but not sure if thats coz u know what to expect 2nd time round
