Chicken nuggets, chicken breast and now a tikka masala and they come back up, guess I'm getting my protein a different way. What was yours?

Chinese food! (Which we used to eat LOADS of before!) Have never quite got my taste for it back either (much to DHs dismay!)

starrystarryeyes · 02/04/2018 12:01

Garlic, onion, bacon, anything breaded. :/ Used to love breaded chicken steak burger topped with onion rings, garlic mayonnaise and bacon. I'm 36/40 now and still can't stand the thought of eating my favourite meal.

Curry

Couldn’t stand it, even now nearly 4yrs later it’s a bit hit and miss

Tea!
I'm a big tea drinker and I love it strong.
But I suddenly went right off it and didn't drink it again until after the birth.
I craved milky coffees, which was unusual for me.
The first 3 months I lived on weetabix, 3 at a time, milky coffees, rice pudding, nuts and chicken soup.
The last 2 months I lived on meat, strawberries and meringue, baby bels and whole cheesecakes.

Coffee, I’ve started drinking tea again for the first time in years.
Also mirror poster that said about wretching when opening the fridge... I have to hold my nose.

ToriRay · 02/04/2018 13:22

Same wrt the fridge. I'd gag! Gravy was a turn off for me. Coffee too in the first trimester but that wore off. Supernoodles were my go to food!

Passthecake30 · 02/04/2018 13:25

Carrots, I couldn't face them. As soon as dd was born I could eat them again

HoneyBee03 · 02/04/2018 14:34

Crisps! Can't stand the thought of them, I think it's the texture and the saltiness.

SiolGhoraidh · 02/04/2018 16:25

Bananas. Can't even be in the same room as an opened banana.
Also spicy food, which is an absolute tragedy for a curry fan. Tastes amazing still but only stays down about 20 minutes

Anything healthy. Hence my 4.5 stone weight gain.

I only wanted to eat bread, pasta and chips.

Poppins2016 · 02/04/2018 20:47

Up until about 12/13 weeks I had near-constant nausea and an aversion to the smell and taste of curry, fish and most meat dishes (especially those containing mince). Pre-pregnancy I had a mild-moderate intolerance to chocolate and dairy which is now much worse (I used to be able to eat small amounts, but am now quite unwell if I eat any).

I'm now 15 weeks and still off fish, eating less meat and eating virtually no dairy. The nausea has stopped, but there seems to be an automatic 'nope, I don't fancy that' feeling lingering.
The dairy feels like a separate issue... Must be 'pregnancy digestion' making my usual intolerance worse, I guess...

Poppins2016 · 02/04/2018 20:51

Oh! I forgot. Green vegetables such as beans, kale, broccoli... Were very nausea inducing up until 13 weeks. I usually love veggies!

DinoSn0re · 02/04/2018 20:54

Tangerines. I could happily drink orange juice but had to leave someone else supervising DD1 if she wanted to eat tangerines (which was a lot of the time, they are her favourite fruit).

muffyduffster · 02/04/2018 21:25

•Chorizo
•my favourite chicken, bacon and stuffing Tesco sandwich
•bananas
Sulking about all of these!

Bibijayne · 03/04/2018 05:04

Gherkins.

NelleB · 03/04/2018 07:39

Chicken... vile.

banannabreadforme · 03/04/2018 08:03

Popcorn! 🤢 The smell was horrific

n0ne · 03/04/2018 08:47

Raw tomatoes, and I still can't 5+ years later!

LeighaJ · 03/04/2018 09:31

Yogurt, peanut butter, Mexican food, butterscotch, caramel, most candy. My desire for fruits and vegetables also declined sharply. Basically I stopped liking my favourite foods.

My taste for meat, potatoes, curry and chocolate increased noticeably.
