Chicken nuggets, chicken breast and now a tikka masala and they come back up, guess I'm getting my protein a different way. What was yours?

I have gone off meat completely 🤢

aetw · 25/03/2018 08:42

Chicken, fish, coffee, tea, greasy food, milk, sometimes just food in general actually.

isthismummy · 25/03/2018 08:42

Nearly everything. I just don't want to eatSad

strawberrypenguin · 25/03/2018 08:50

Chocolate with DS1. Sausages with DS2

eurochick · 25/03/2018 08:57

Meat. It all smelled off to me.

CasparBloomberg · 25/03/2018 09:08

Carrots - for some reason they just started to look the wrong colour. Too orange. Couldn’t have them on the plate without wretching. It wasn’t the taste, just the thought of eating them. Took ages for it to change back after giving birth, both times. Never understood it.

Red meat during my second pregnancy. The ILs invited us for dinner when my sil was visiting and I said several times in the previous weeks that we'd love to come but meat was making me very sick so could we have something else. As I walked up to the house that night I could smell stew. I was very nearly sick on the doorstep. So embarrassing. I don't think they believed me. I just ate some potatoes but tbh even sitting at the table next to them all eating meat was really difficult. It was my birthday that day too!

AverageSnowflake · 25/03/2018 09:21

Curry

FranticallyPeaceful · 25/03/2018 09:21

@PastaSauceHoarder same! Sweet corn. Absolutely loved the stuff, got pregnant and couldn’t even stand the sight of it. So incredibly random

DG87 · 25/03/2018 09:22

Meat but mainly Chicken! Which is so annoying because most dinners we have are chicken! 🤢

LMX0 · 25/03/2018 09:59

Eggs, chicken cooked on the bone, yoghurt, mushrooms (even the look of them)

Peanut91 · 25/03/2018 10:44

Most things but especially chocolate which is huge for me as I am usually a huge chocoholic!

foxessocks · 25/03/2018 10:49

Ketchup

harrietm87 · 25/03/2018 11:02

peanut I'm the same - loved chocolate but still can't stomach it at 38 weeks! And have gone off cakes, biscuits and other sweet things. Craving fruit for my sugar hit instead!

cindersrella · 25/03/2018 11:03

Everything apart from mcdonalds chips for the first 16 weeks, I used to eat other things but gosh it used to make me feel like I was going to throw up.

Minced beef was the worst and chicken when cooking 🤢 if I smelt food cooking I really struggled to eat it!

DwangelaForever · 25/03/2018 11:14

In my first pregnancy it was sweet corn! I went to Nando's with my sister one day and got it and the smell of it put me off my whole meal 😷

DwangelaForever · 25/03/2018 11:15

Haven't found anything I've went off so far, but I tried to eat butter chicken from the Indian on Friday and couldn't eat it at all 😷

turkeyboots · 25/03/2018 11:32

Loads of stuff, but stand out thing was sandwiches. Even 11 years later I can't eat a pre-made sandwich.

Hellsbellscockleshells · 25/03/2018 11:36

With DS I couldn’t eat Curry’s or anything spicy. Whereas with DD I couldn’t get enough of it.
Interestingly enough DS loves spicy food and DD hates it.

Stroller15 · 25/03/2018 11:36

Onions. Nearly left my dh for daring to put it in a bolognese (which obviously needs it!).

BossWitch · 25/03/2018 11:43

Meat, especially chicken.

Anything that isn't pure sugar to be honest. I'm 11 weeks and getting so fat but unless it's mega sweet I'm barely keeping it down.

Totallytopsecret · 25/03/2018 11:50

Garlic, onions, anything spicy, ginger.
Mince, most meat. For the first couple of months any vegetables. Even looking at our breadbin made me retch, we had to get a new one! I went off chocolate for a few months too, then wanted nothing but chocolate milk. Unfortunately I have Gestational diabetes so no chocolate milk for me!

Salad and most vegetables - very annoying as I was vegetarian and my usual diet contained a lot of these! They just didn't appeal at all, felt all weird, watery and slimy in my mouth, and made me nauseous. I made sure I ate a bit of veg each day but had to force it down, and I took a decent vitamin supplement. Still loved fruit so I got some vitamins from that.
