Waking Early?

Hi

So really early stages of pregnancy but for last 4/5 days I've been waking before 6...

I'm normally a sleep until the last minute person and can fall asleep with light dark noise silence ... anything

I'm just wide awake ages before I normally am or before I need to be...

Anyone else?

Yes I’m 6w6d and this has been happening to me for the past week and a half. I wake up between 5-5:15 every morning. Like you I was never like this before!! When I wake up I’m also wide awake.

RD15 · 22/03/2018 19:00

Same here! Super frustrating. I’m absolutely shattered xx

perfectpanda · 22/03/2018 19:07

Thats one of the symptoms that has made me know I'm pregnant... been pregnant a lot!

Girlwiththearabstrap · 22/03/2018 19:16

I had terrible first trimester insomnia. It did get a bit better but I'm 33 weeks now and it's even worse now. Regularly awake from 4/4.30!

AnneLovesGilbert · 22/03/2018 19:21

I’ve been waking up since I found out and still happening at 8 weeks. Happens at 3 or 5, usually needing a wee or just waking up, realising I’m awake, then nodding back off.

Sorry you’re so tired and not getting back to sleep. That sucks.

I’ve taken to napping whenever I can. I’m exhausted.

hotchocolate86 · 22/03/2018 19:23

11 weeks here. I’m up between 5 and 5.15 every day even though I’m exhausted.

BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy · 22/03/2018 21:02

I have this. Woke up at 4am this morning!

MeadowHay · 22/03/2018 21:21

My sleep has been awful and weird ever since I fell pregnant, and I'm 27 weeks now.

EL332 · 22/03/2018 21:32

It's just so bizarre - I've NEVER been a morning person and I'm just wide awake so early - it's not a symptom is read about anywhere... I should probably put the time to use rather than using it for Mumsnet scrolling 🙈🙄

I’m 4 weeks pregnant and I’ve been getting up between 3 and 4 everyday even though I’m exhausted.

Ekphrasis · 23/03/2018 05:30

33 weeks and it's returned.

Been awake since 3:30 or 4 I think Angry

No chance to nap today; not sure how I'll get through!

@Jaymay @Ekphrasis here we go again!

I am already dreaming about bedtime tonight!

I have an interview today in the middle of my work day too - not feeling confident at all - I feel a little like my brains gone on holiday and I'm struggling to find the words I need! 🤦🏻‍♀️

I made it until 6 today!

isthismummy · 23/03/2018 07:34

I had awful first trimester insomnia. It really made me very down and depressed.

It's getting better now I'm 13 weeks. Hang on in there. Flowers to everyone suffering.

Eeeeek2 · 23/03/2018 08:12

Me too, my bladder is getting me up early and I'm only 4+3

Belkinsboo · 23/03/2018 08:43

Oh, so is this a thing? I’m 4wks and thought I was waking up at 4am each morning due to anxiety! Can I count this as my first symptom?!

Eminybob · 23/03/2018 08:57

I am a terrible sleeper anyway, and usually take meds for it, but I came off them while ttc so it has been bad recently. But since being pregnant it has been ridiculous, I have been awake since 2am this morning! Yep, after going to bed at 10 I have managed a whole 4 hours sleep. Sad
I’m off work today and ds is in nursery so I’d love to be able to go back to bed for a bit, but oh no, I have builders in all day so no rest for the wicked.
It was like his last time, it was so bad that I had to go back on the meds in the last trimester just so I was able to function to go to work. They are the type that they advise not to take in pregnancy unless the risk of not taking them outweighs the risk to the baby (ds is fine)
So I can see myself having to go back on them again this time.
Sorry that was a bit of an essay. I’m so tired and pissed off!

Jt1991 · 23/03/2018 15:06

@belkinsboo ditto! I feel like other then sore boobs and crazy new sleeping patterns I have no other symptoms! Is this your first pregnancy?

Belkinsboo · 23/03/2018 15:45

@jt1991 this is my 10th pregnancy, I’ve had 9 early miscarriages so fingers well and truly crossed for this one! Last time was 2.5yrs ago so I don’t remember the early morning wakings! How about you?

@eminybob hope you managed to get some rest despite the builders Flowers

PotteringAlong · 23/03/2018 15:48

If it’s any help, all 3 of my children were up for the day by 5.4am today so I’d just embrace the change and get used to it Grin

Jt1991 · 23/03/2018 16:35

@bbelkinsboo Oh my goodness - bless you. I have absolutely everything crossed for you. That must have so tough :( This is my first. So I’m super anxious! I almost want the symptoms so it stays real!

@potteringalong you make a very good point haha!

WazFlimFlam · 23/03/2018 16:44

Same, it is an anxiety thing.

EL332 · 23/03/2018 19:24

It's so interesting to see how many people are struggling with this!

It's 19:23 on a Friday night and I'm so ready for bed... but that feels like I'll then just awake even earlier...

But if I try to stay up late and then still wake up early I'll be super tired tomorrow...

What have people found have worked for them? ❤️
