@Emma198 wow ok so we never know, I have my fingers crossed this could be it or at least a step in the right direction. Thank you lovely, I hope not xxx

ND348 · 17/04/2018 14:51

Thanks ladies.

Back home and with good news. I have some free fluid on my uterus which is not an issue and they think caused my pains. They did a scan and we saw a tiny little bean with a beating heart! So relieved. Dr and epu were both really good

Emma198 · 17/04/2018 16:00

Awww @nd348 brilliant news. How far along are you xx

AnotherOriginalUsername · 17/04/2018 18:29

@nd348 fantastic news Grin

ND348 · 17/04/2018 19:12

Thanks AnotherOriginalUsername and Emma198

It was a big relief seeing it there and in the right place! I'm 6w 6d and measured that on the scan too which is good.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 17/04/2018 19:36

Exactly the same as me @ND348 :)

Does anyone have names yet? My husband and I can't decide what to have for dinner, but we are 100% chosen on names and agreed straight away!

Emma198 · 17/04/2018 20:34

We're 100% on names too :) boys were instantly agreed but girls took a bit of arguing!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 17/04/2018 20:38

Actually I lied a little. My husband liked "Iago".... The words "over my dead body" may have been uttered. Told him that when the dog dies, he can have a cat and call it whatever the hell he likes Hmm

For context: we live in rural country bumpkin land, we are as far from middle class as can be!

Emma198 · 17/04/2018 21:41

For a boy or a girl?!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 17/04/2018 22:36

Boy

Emma198 · 17/04/2018 22:40

never hears it before. My husband vetoed my favourite girls name, Eilidh. We lived in Scotland for ten years and I fell on love with it, but then talking about it with my English friends they all thought it sounded like I was saying Hayley just with my really common accent so I think he was right to veto given we live in England now - as much as it pains me to say!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 18/04/2018 07:48

Precisely my point Hmm It's the parrot in Aladdin (and a villain in Othello I think)

In other news, I think I've reached the "I need to eat and I need to eat NOW" stage

applesauce1 · 18/04/2018 08:07

@AnotherOriginalUsername

I think Iago would rather suit a cat! Can't imagine a child... or human being named Iago though! What does your DH like about it?

In other news, I had my first midwife appointment yesterday. I've got my booking appointment for two weeks' time. How long do booking appointments usually take?

Diet-wise, I stopped buying meat at the end of last year. I eat it if I'm served it out and about, but basically have only eaten fish, cheese, eggs and pulses for my protein over the last 4 months.
Having spoken to my midwife yesterday, I feel like I should reintroduce chicken to my diet as otherwise, I'd be eating too much fish/prawns for the health of baby. Anyone else changing their diet for baby?

AnotherOriginalUsername · 18/04/2018 08:16

@applesauce1 do you eat Quorn or anything similar? The only thing I'm doing is trying (failing) to lose some weight. I even forgot to go to fat club last night Confused

GreenGooner · 18/04/2018 09:03

Morning! How is everyone feeling? I seem to have a bit more energy lately but the sickness has ramped up. Still feel nauseous most of the day but now taken to randomly vomiting at any given time of the day.

8 weeks today so only 32 weeks left (unless I go over 🙄)

Hope everyone is well ❤️

ellsharks · 18/04/2018 09:13

Today is the first day i don't feel too bad, its a sad state of affairs when your driving to work, singing, and have the realisation that this is the first time in weeks you woke up feeling alright haha!

With me, I've found my sickness really depends on what I've eaten the previous day. Ive had to cut all spice and salad completely!

Im deffo gonna be one of these "the baby doesn't like that, the baby wants pizza"

Yeeeeeeeeeaassssss!

GreenGooner · 18/04/2018 09:52

Haha the baby knows what it needs 😂 I've gotten through about 2 blocks of cheese over the last week. Having it for every meal.

I'm fine with the sickness if I'm at home, I work from home quite a bit, but today and tomorrow I've got lots of meetings so that will be interesting 😭 it's just so random and appears at any time

AaronPurrSir · 18/04/2018 10:40

I feel like my symptoms have eased today, which is obviously worrying me! 7+4 today. Got my early scan in a few days and it can't come quickly enough.

I've gone right off chocolate and biscuits and am only eating savoury. It's so weird!

GreenGooner · 18/04/2018 10:56

Hey @AaronPurrSir I felt absolutely fine for a few days, then it all hit me with a massive bang yesterday. Obviously everyone is different but just to let you know that my symptoms come and go too.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 18/04/2018 11:25

I'm feeling pretty rough today, very crampy and nauseous

ellsharks · 18/04/2018 13:44

@AaronPurrSir mine went last week, even my boobs. Scan on Sunday showed healthy baby! Then Monday and Tuesday came back with a bang and was actually sick both days. Today all normal again. I'm 8+4 today 😘

AnotherOriginalUsername · 18/04/2018 15:04

I think the theory is (although I don't know how scientifically accurate!) that your body reacts to the hormones produced, you have symptoms, it gets used to it, things settle down. Then you have another surge and it all comes back again!

ellsharks · 18/04/2018 15:40

Yeah my cousin is a midwife, and told me that symptoms coming and going is totally normal. Of course, some people whos symptoms have gone have gone onto miscarry, but many peoples symptoms don't go and the same thing happens - if its gonna happen it will. She pretty much told me, the only thing you need to look out for is bleeding and constant dull painful cramping. Everything else is totally normal

AaronPurrSir · 18/04/2018 18:14

Thanks guys, I’m probably just being a worrier! I’ll probably be puking my guts up next week and cursing myself for being worried about not having symptoms Grin

Emma198 · 18/04/2018 20:09

Another worrier here 🙋🙋
