Near 2 months into second pregnancy sickness levels high, not as bad as first time but last few days really sick.

I am do thirsty but nothing I drink helps, feel like I've tried everything.

I'm normally a tea drinker went right off tea I've tried orange, lemon, lime, fruits, I'm sitting most nights with water but so thirsty.

Any suggestions xx

Pink grapefruit squash did it for me, but only the one from M&S

Fidgety31 · 18/03/2018 17:49

Lemonade

Icklepickle101 · 18/03/2018 17:50

Orange juice and lemonade was my go to in the early weeks

strawberrysparkle · 18/03/2018 17:50

Try flat lemonade or flavoured water

Creatureofthenight · 18/03/2018 17:51

I drank Vimto non stop!

abc12345 · 18/03/2018 17:53

Elderflower cordial, fresh mint, lime and fizzy water
(It’s like a mojito but without the rum!)

Juancornetto · 18/03/2018 17:55

I'm drinking cordials made up with tonic water at the moment. Robinson's do a nice lime and mint one

troodiedoo · 18/03/2018 17:56

Ginger beer or tea?

mommybear1 · 18/03/2018 18:01

Sparkling water was my go to but also tried it with lime which was lovely. Ginger ale was also a favourite in the first few weeks, full fat Pepsi was a guilty and very restricted pleasure- Bottlegreens sparkling ginger and lemongrass was lovely, lemonade, summer fruits squash and the Robinsons squeezy squashes were really nice - good luck OP

pastabest · 18/03/2018 18:02

sparkling water and coca cola were the only things that worked for me.

Have you tried ice lollies?

WinkyisbackontheButterBeer · 18/03/2018 18:04

Lime cordial and soda or a mix of lemonade and fresh orange juice both helped with the horrid thirst.

I also drank alcohol free beer and bitter lemon as I craved bitter things.

lifechangesforever · 18/03/2018 18:08

Coke and pre orange juice are my thing at the moment

anotherchangetomyname · 18/03/2018 18:32

Tonic?

Almostthere15 · 18/03/2018 18:34

I like cold caffeine free coke (well I like real coke but needs must). Really cold water with chopped lime and/or mint leaves. Mint tea is good too.

laura6032 · 18/03/2018 19:33

Pepsi ice cold with lemon was what I had with first.
Def wanting a ginger beer or ale though and grapefruit sounds good.
Also sure I'm wanting fizzy so fresh grapefruit with sparkling water.
Shopping tomorrow lol, thank guys.

Also good to know I'm not the only one with a mega thirst xx

Grapefruit juice and tonic water was the other one I loved. Congratulations on your pregnancy OP

luxurybiscuit · 18/03/2018 21:18

Same as abc12345! I was coming on here to say my favourite non-alcoholic drink when pregnant (or driving) was elderflower, fresh mint, lime & fizzy water, over lots of ice. Lovely cafe in Cornwall gave me the idea! I always take the ingredients if visiting pregnant friends.

somersetsinger · 18/03/2018 21:42

Fizzy water helped when I was thirsty but tap water wasn't hitting the spot. I've also had success with just putting a slice of lemon in a glass of tap water or a mug of boiling water.

Now that I'm past the sickness stage, fresh and bitter tastes are good. So elderflower, ginger, rose and San Pellegrino lemonade are my treat drinks.

Ollivander84 · 18/03/2018 21:46

Bitter lemon, ice cold

Sup3rnan · 19/03/2018 14:16

Ginger and lemon tea. Ginger is good for sickness

Thishatisnotmine · 19/03/2018 17:20

Sparking water. Nothing fancy, just the cheap supermarket stuff

EastDulwichWife · 19/03/2018 17:33

Orange juice and lemonade! I could still drink about three pints of it now, given the opportunity.

Magpie24 · 19/03/2018 17:39

I am so thirsty too! I had a diet cherryade thing from M&S that was super satisfying

butterfly198615 · 19/03/2018 17:53

Coke was the only think that helped my sickness. I hated.original coke cola but my dh drinks it so o asked for a little bit at first and it helped with the sickness so I stuck with it until I found Morrisons sparkling strawberry and kiwi water, that helped too . Don't think they make anymore. I couldnt stomach tea .With my daughter orange juice helped x

voxnihili · 19/03/2018 18:30

I also went off tea. Then one day I took a sip of DP’s sugary tea (I normally have it without) and it tasted great. I’m now back on tea, with one sugar. Might be worth a try.
