Started bleeding at 11 weeks....devastated

Hi ladies
Don’t know why I’m posting this but maybe I just need a release...

I was 11 weeks on Monday- a very much wanted and hard fought pregnancy after IVF and 3 years of trying. However, this morning I saw blood when I wiped (sorry) and have been spotting since. Blood initially was red now is more brown.

I’ve had miscarriages before and know exactly what this is, so when my midwife told me that this could be ok, i didn’t want to hear it because i know in my heart that this is it.

I just can’t believe this is happening. We have a scan 2 weeks ago and everything was great but that makes all of this so much worse. I’m heartbroken.

If my fears come true I know i won’t get through it - i barely did the last time i miscarried... I just can’t see this ever getting better.

I guess I’m clutching at straws but anyone else been here?

So pleased for you! I had bleeding on and off from about the same time & DS is now five! A friends sister had “periods” every month & then unexpectedly gave birth to a healthy baby. Our bodies do mysterious things sometimes!

Brilliant news I'm so happy for you. I remember the stress of bleeding and the relief of being told the babies were fine so clearly. Congratulations!

InDubiousBattle · 16/03/2018 16:52

Great News! I still remember the sonographer telling me everything was fine and bursting into tears, I was saying to dp 'you look at the baby! One of us should be looking!' because I was crying too much to look at the screen!

Thanks so much ladies- you’re all lovely! Flowers Sorry for giving you all a fright. Confused

Ha ha @InDubiousBattle, that really made me smile. After we’d seen the baby move, my husband gave the sonographer a good laugh by asking if the heart was still beating. He was so panicked bless him! Blush

Frau
So happy to read your update. I had 3MCs between our two DDs and then bled heavily between 6 and 12 weeks with DD2- terrifying time

MrsMozart · 16/03/2018 18:39

Lovely news indeed.

Rafflesway · 16/03/2018 18:48

I'm presently on holiday in Vietnam and laid in bed mnetting as can't sleep jet lag with tears streaming down my face. 😰

Suffice to say I am so, so thrilled for you both Frau. Your posts resonated so much with what DH and I experienced back in 1992/93 and your fear was palpable understandably. I was sooo nervous about reaching page 4 of this thread in case it was bad news and instead I am having a jet lagged celebration for you both.

FWIW, I reckon it's a little boy who has started being a handful already and will continue to be so. He just wants to let you know he ain't going anywhere!! 😍😍😍

Do have a FABULOUS weekend Dahlings!!

Ilikecakes · 16/03/2018 19:03

Another positive one! Sitting here BFing 5mo DS4 after continual heavy bleeding, interspersed with massive haemorrhages, from 11-26 weeks. Scan at 11 weeks showed large subchorionic haematoma and I was initially advised that MC was v likely. He was absolutely fine, growing and developing throughout and I bizarrely just got used to wearing san towels while pregnant!

Thanks for you. So hard I know, but try to stay as calm and positive as possible.
