Try to relax in the knowledge it seems to be going the right way for you. Maybe take another dip test in the morning and see how it looks comparatively?

paz1234 · 11/03/2018 06:55

Well the digital one will tell her whether or not she's actually pregnant .. which by the look off the test she is ... but I took loads of the dip tests and I got a very faint positive every time some people would've thrown the test it's only because I have been pregnant 7 times I knew I was. Clear blue told me straight away and how many weeks Smile

paz1234 · 11/03/2018 07:05

Both different pregnancy's both positive

It’s just another form of getting women to spend money when they don’t need too. A dip stick tells the exact same thing. Have we really come to a point where written words are required to tell us what a second line has told us for years?

If there is colour in there, op is pregnant. But at this stage, it could just ‘go away’ (chemical pregnancy) and the only thing that will determine that, it the passage of time.

rebeccac29 · 11/03/2018 19:38

Will take a test in the morning and will see

Well I would be happy taking a dip test like I usually do but In this case this lady has come on netmums to ask .. I would say she's defiantly pregnant it's rare to get a false positive but if she's still unsure then to take a clear blue .. I don't see the problem if it gives her a definite answer ?

Emmat09 · 12/03/2018 09:31

That’s great news Rebecca, is it darker again? Fwiw I didn’t really believe I was pregnant until I seen them dancing about on the ultrasound. Until then I just couldn’t get too excited.

The clear blue digital technology is the same as a dip stick. The only difference is that it measures the level of hcg hormone and translates it to the number of weeks and displays it digitally in words. All very approximate, when you read the fine print.

Apparently “It has been shown that one in four women can misread traditional line pregnancy test results.” I have an issue with this. Women are not stupid and can read lines just fine, using a multipack of dip sticks for less than £1.

•A line is there = pregnant
•no line = not pregnant OR to early to tell
•a line is there and your period comes = chemical pregnancy.

It is bs marketing based on silly womenfolk not being able to read and understand what a line means.

Missed out the most important word in that sentence.

NotTakenUsername · 13/03/2018 10:25

Ttc/early pregnancy is such a tricky time, especially as you had irregular bleeding last month, it’s just hard for you to know what is going my on.
Added to that, you don’t have doctors you feel you can rely on, so I’m sure this must be a very confusing time for you.

Yours only look slightly fainter than mine and that is a definite positive. The little wiggles I can feel at 16 weeks definitely confirm it!
