May I start one? With the disclaimer that I am really very grateful to have baby on the way, and for everything else we have

Few weeks until due date, finished work but have a terrible cold and feel like I can't breathe or go anywhere as feel embarrassed (can't hide it, I look awful!) We have builders in the house and the whole downstairs is a building site, only the bedroom is clean. Can't get organised with baby stuff until we have somewhere to put it, and no TV or kitchen to make meals. And with no sofa, sitting up in bed is killing my back and pelvis which was already dodgy (mild SPT!)

All being well in a couple of weeks we'll be in a much cleaner more comfortable position but makes me nervous cutting it so fine....

Please share your tales of woe 😀

I doubt many people will agree, but I actually found the 1st trimester the easiest. (Just the fact that it was all a big secret that I hated)

I'm 32weeks on Thurs and really starting to struggle now. I do think things will get a lot easier as of next week when I finish work, and can stop the commute into London.

I can't really complain though as I think I have had it quite easy compared to a lot of people that I speak to.
My main issues have been tiredness, backache, leg ache at night and constant peeing.

I think I'm just very impatient more than anything and want little man here now!!

At least when the work is complete OP, you will have a lovely home to bring your baby back to.

snugasapuginarug · 20/02/2018 14:46

Oooh me please! 40+1 today and not long had a double sweep (poor student hadn't done one before)
I'm expecting absolutely sod all to happen and that I'll be back next week booking my induction. I like to cook them for longer apparently!

NerNerNerNerBATMAN · 20/02/2018 14:51

I will join you. I'm 27 weeks through my 40(+) one woman pity party and I just can't imagine how I'm going to get through the next 13 weeks.

I think I'm allergic to being pregnant. I can only manage it if I take a shit load of pharmaceuticals and lie down a lot (hyperemesis). I'm a massive whinge bag.

Was hoping to bring my maternity leave forward to 36 weeks but have just done the sums and I'll have to plough on to 38 😭😭😭

strawberrysparkle · 20/02/2018 14:58

32 weeks here and was handling it all well until I woke up this morning with a virus! I feel like every single bone in my body needs to click and every time I move it hurts. Plus when I cough it makes me want to vomit.

What's with waking up in the night with awful heartburn that fills your mouth full of water?!

I love my little bean more than anything though!

Readytopop12 · 20/02/2018 15:03

41+1 and absolutely fed up! I literally cannot walk and have had to finally accept help with looking after DD (2) as I just can't keep up with her...
Sweep last week did nothing, despite being told I was 2cm and 'favourable' got another one on Thursday but I was 42wks before I delivered last time so not holding out any hope 😭

Readytopop12 · 20/02/2018 15:04

strawberrysparkle gaviscon straight from the bottle is the only way to cope with the heartburn!

ImoAsta · 20/02/2018 15:08

Thanks for the thread OP!

I was due yesterday, and last night had an awful nights sleep with bad period like pain and nausea. I thought wahooo this is it! But it's calmed quite a lot today.

I'm not good at relaxing so I'm finding mat leave without actually having a baby to look after yet very hard! I just want to do things but every time I try I'm walking like an old lady!

PastaOfMuppets · 20/02/2018 15:17

@StrawberrySparkle go to your GP and get a prescription for Ranitidine. One tablet, daily, pregnancy safe.

NearlyBabyTime · 20/02/2018 21:45

Hope you overdue ladies have your babies soon! And those unwell feel better soon too

NerNerNerBatman when I was at your stage I felt like I'd never get there too but somehow the next few weeks passed and I made it onto maternity

Thread was started lightheartedly but actually I am really struggling tonight now. The house is nowhere near ready and I'm so worried the baby will come early, (nearly full term) or it will take weeks longer. Also finding it hard being unwell and having builders, electricians, plasterers, plumbers in all day long pumping music, using same loo etc.

Btw this is only a small extension though I make it sound dramatic! And DH being great and doing so much, plus family kindly helping fund... so I feel really guilty being in tears!

I might pack labour bag and buy baby stuff this week but see if a friend can look after it for me so I at least feel a bit more ready 😊 Need to pull myself together

Just entered the 3rd tri - 28+4. Heartburn is back, I can't walk up even a short flight of stairs without dying of breathlessness, and my 2yo is pushing his luck with running away from me at any chance he's given 😣

Readytopop12 · 20/02/2018 22:08

nearlybabytime it must be stressful living in the choas of an extension! It will all be fine tho, and it's OK to struggle, late pregnancy is hard work. Is this your first baby??

Chocolatesaveslives · 20/02/2018 23:28

38 weeks and fed up.

On mat leave but still permanently tired as sleeping terribly as so uncomfortable, achey and peeing every 30 mins.

I feel like I've been pregnant forever and yet I'm so aware that at 38 weeks I could still have 4 weeks to go! Argh.

ExhaustedAndHormonal · 21/02/2018 00:03

Ah I love these threads.
I'm 38 weeks. And due to severe anemia.. Which I've had transfusions now. I struggle with breathlessness.. Worse in evenings.
So if I lay down I can't breathe, lay half sat up baby squashes lungs. So most nights I sit in lounge where it seems cooler and I feel like I can breathe.
I feel awful for dp as I like being in bed with him and visa versa. But just dosing on sofa is something.

Luckily no other major moans. I just want to meet dc.. But also don't want the labour lmao

sammy891 · 21/02/2018 21:34

36 weeks and exhausted! Not sure how I will get through the next few weeks..heartburn never goes away and piles have returned Blush...not fun..but can't stop thinking about the little baby that will soon be here and all this will have been worth it Smile

KittyKK · 21/02/2018 21:51

Nearly 30 weeks and fed up. My bump is gigantic and I’m pissed off with people commenting on it!! I feel physically incapacitated...trying to chase/entertain a toddler is exhausting. Whinge over 😋

Wings13 · 21/02/2018 21:53

35 plus 5- and feel so awful! Reflux, exhaustion and still working with 2 other children.. can't get comfortable no matter how I lie, sit or anything. This pregnancy has been tough and I am really looking forward to it being over- and feel sad and guilty about that as my last two were fine and this is most definitely the last one for me.

Hairgician · 21/02/2018 21:57

29weeks here and starting to get fed up. Up constantly at night to pee. Insomnia has kicked in too. Can't get over to sleep then when I do I'm up to wee and vicious circle continues. And fucking heartburn!! Uurgh! Worst at night. And restless legs. And I've a cold so can't breathe.
Starting to get achy when walking and sore after work. Defo much harder this time round. At least I wont have to worry about going over as having c's. Thank fuck I've an end date. I fucking hate being pregnant.

Loosemoose28 · 21/02/2018 22:22

32 weeks.

My hips are not my own and signed off work. The chiropractor is my best friend despite what he charges.

I treated myself to a Sainburys shop and a starbucks just to get out the house. Now suffering for my walk around the aisles Sad on all fours in the living room over my ball much to my partners amusement!

Shaunieh95 · 21/02/2018 22:26

Almost 34 weeks and had enough. Beyond ready to meet my little bundle of joy!

Found out 5 days before AF was due - so feel like I have been pregnant FOREVER 😩.

Absolutely flew through the 1st trimester didn't have any bother what so ever, then throughout the second up to now still problem after problem, as soon as one issue is signed away it seems that another starts!!

Started with scan after scan of both mine and baby's hearts (I was born with form of heart disease), plus booking bloods shown very low Papp-a (being on aspirin ever since), had 3 bleeds? Multiple nasty anti-d injections (feel for all the fellow RH(D)Neg ladies) which obviously can't have worked that well as 28 week bloods also picked up I'm not creating antibodies!! 1st growth scan thankfully baby wasn't too small although second one tomorrow to show deftly what's going on (fingers and toes crossed) however if not happy with baby's growth they'll be whipping him out 😩 (did not want section) and like he wasn't naughty enough he was head down partially engaged for 6/7 weeks right up until my 32 week midwife appointment where he had decided he'd wriggle his way out and he is now flipping between laying transverse and breech!!! (Once again-did not want section).

Along with all of this I was a tiny 5,3 8st5 before I got pregnant and feel like I've doubled in weight look and feel horrendous, no energy to bother with ever doing my hair or makeup and feel sorry for my partner as I've declined massively over the last few months 😂! Baby also moves NONSTOP so never sleep, never comfy and every time I try lay on my back - can't breath as baby squishing me.

Anyways- thanks for the moan lol!

Hope all your pregnancies were a lot simpler and good luck to you all!!!!!

Xxx

Shaunieh95 · 21/02/2018 22:26

Ps.

Forgot up every 10 mins to pee and the horrendous heart burn.

Lol!!

duckii · 21/02/2018 22:27

29 weeks. Low iron, breathless, SPD, can barely walk, can't sleep, sickness has returned, heartburn and overall feeling lifeless! Everyday is a struggle. This is hard work... can anyone suggest anything else for heartburn apart from liquid Gaviscon or Ranitidine from the Drs?

Shaunieh95 · 21/02/2018 22:29

@duckii I am also suffering badly with heart burn I've had all sorts and I feel the only thing that genuinely works for me is fruity flavoured tums! Give them a try - worth a shot :)! X

duckii · 21/02/2018 22:29

Ps. Forgot to add the restless legs, constant need to pee, iron infusions and also being Rhesus B negative....
I sound like such a moan! Blush

duckii · 21/02/2018 22:30

@ExhaustedAndHormonal I completely feel your pain with the breathlessness and struggling to sleep in bed!
