May I start one? With the disclaimer that I am really very grateful to have baby on the way, and for everything else we have

Few weeks until due date, finished work but have a terrible cold and feel like I can't breathe or go anywhere as feel embarrassed (can't hide it, I look awful!) We have builders in the house and the whole downstairs is a building site, only the bedroom is clean. Can't get organised with baby stuff until we have somewhere to put it, and no TV or kitchen to make meals. And with no sofa, sitting up in bed is killing my back and pelvis which was already dodgy (mild SPT!)

All being well in a couple of weeks we'll be in a much cleaner more comfortable position but makes me nervous cutting it so fine....

Please share your tales of woe 😀

@duckii

Don’t eat a dinner after 4-5. Just have something small later.

And tbh when mine is bad I am on the sofa sat up wedged in the corner of it.

38+4 and EVERYTHING hurts. Feel like I've got flu without being unwell. Legs are burning, backs sore, can't get comfy, can't bend down, almost got stuck in the bath... It goes on lol surely a newborn is easier than pregnancy?! I'm actually looking forward to labour just so all this will be over!

Readytopop12 · 22/02/2018 16:16

Feeling rubbish, 41+3 today and went to midwife for 2nd sweep (had one last week) to be told I'm actually LESS favourable than last week. Cervix has gone right to the back, worse than last week midwife could barely find it. How can I be going further away from starting labour?? Really depressed I'm now most likely for induction over the weekend 😭

TeaPleaseLouise · 22/02/2018 16:38

@duckii try asking for Omazaprole, it's a life changer for me. I'm only on the 20mg dose but it's miraculous.

I'm going to join in the whinging too. I'm 35 weeks, I have stomach cramps, back cramps and it feels like I've an elephant in there dancing on my cervix instead of a baby today. If this is latent labour it sucks and I'll be begging for an induction in a couple of weeks.

They were worried about growth and threatened to get the baby out sooner than later than later last week if it didn't improve. It did, but I almost wish they had now.

Shaunieh95 · 22/02/2018 17:22

@TeaPleaseLouise they're monitoring growth of my little one too, went for a growth scan today and baby's on the small side so I'm back in a few weeks for another scan, if there is any concern what so ever I'll be pushing to get him out!!

Not to mention after today's visit to add to my list I'm also now being monitored twice a week as they believe I'm at the starts of preeclampsia 😩😩😩. Bring on the labour pregnancy is not for me!

cjferg · 22/02/2018 17:37

32+2, just want to be able to put my socks on with no effort, heartburn every time I bend down, need to pee all the time, fed up of work.
Go through several pairs of pants a day. Wish I could have a proper shave.

At least I found out today I only have three weeks work left because of how much holiday time I have accrued!

Thanks for starting the thread!

36+6 (I feel so much further on!) and have been suffering with horrendous SPD since around 30 weeks.. Tbh it wasn't that bad to start with though I was waddling like I was at 41 weeks last pregnancy at 32 this time! Confused

Now struggling to walk more than 10 meters without pain which wouldn't be too bad if it was my first (I would very happily resort to watching box sets on the sofa! Grin) but also looking after a very energetic 21-month-old.. She is still in nursery two days a week and I've had one and a half blissful days of pottering around and trying to get the house sorted but she's been ill for the past week or so so has been off and very grumpy!! 😩

TeaPleaseLouise · 22/02/2018 19:57

Shaunieh95 Yes, when people go on about lack of sleep, I'm actually thinking being woken only 4 or so times a night seems quite restful, bring it on!

You've really been though the wars so far Flowers

So a few days ago I said I was struggling with a virus... of course got the nasty virus cough and have hurt my rib coughing. Put that together with not been able to pop as I'm so constipated the straining hurts my poorly rib so bad! Ah Sad

fannythrobbing · 23/02/2018 19:41

Oh my god I need a whinge, may I join in??
Im 36 weeks, baby is breech (I think) and I'm super uncomfortable getting kicks like electric shocks in my bladder, I have bronchitis but already felt I couldn't get enough air in prior to this, I can't seem to sleep past 2:30 am and I still have 2 weeks to go at work (full time) as well as looking after my equally poorly 14 month old (who has bronchitis, is teething two back teeth and her four incisors are on the move as well as suspect spots that may be chicken pox??)

I mean can somebody give me a break?!

Lavenderdays · 24/02/2018 15:52

35+3 and feel like I have almost ground to a halt (or want to grind to a halt anyway).
I have constant breathlessness (checked out), look and feel enormous - feel the pressure bearing down on my hips and all I want to do is mope around the house really.
I have just sent dh off with a shopping list...poor man, he does loads and all I can do is scowl and glare at him and become irritated for no particular reason.
I have had enough (I will be induced at 39 weeks, so less than 4 weeks to go) but I feel almost completely incapacitated and need to start functioning again properly (I have two dd's) and all I'm becoming is frustrated. I am know I am fortunate compared to some other ladies but at the moment there isn't a part of my body, I don't think I could mention that doesn't ache or hurt in some way. Wake me up when this is all over!
