Baby Breech at 30 weeks

My boy is sat breech at 30 weeks and doesn't seem to be shifting. He's kicking low into my vagina (sorry tmi) and his head is always under my left rib which is so uncomfortable! Starting to feel a bit fed up and worried that he's getting too big to turn as at my 28 week scan he was measuring 2lb 8oz as opposed to the expected 2lb 3oz and I know 2 weeks can make a big difference in size at this stage.

Hi, is this your first pregnancy?
Either way, a breach baby at 30 weeks still has time to turn. Your midwife should keep checking. There’s lots of tips like sitting upright with your knees lower than your hips, only laying on your left side etc.
Also do you have a scan at 36weeks?
My baby was breach at 29 weeks but was head down by my 36 week scan.

It's my second and my first was head down very early perhaps 24/26 weeks I remember and I have more scans and a midwife appointment tomorrow so maybe she can feel if he's turned. I'm glad I'm not the only one who had a breech baby at 30 weeks and I'm so happy to hear yours turned by 36 weeks!!

Both of mine were breech at 32 weeks. DS1 had to be turned at 37 weeks, DS2 was the right way round by 34 weeks. Something like 20% of babies are breech at 32 weeks but only 3-4% are at term. Most babies sort themselves out.

Have a look at [[https://spinningbabies.com/learn-more/baby-positions/breech/when-is-breech-an-issue/.com Spinning Babies]]

My dd was footling breach at around 32 weeks. She managed to turn into the right position by around 35 weeks I think.
Still wouldn't come out and had to be evicted via the sunroof, but that was a different issue!

My 2nd was breach at either 32 or 34 wks. I was given 2 wks for him to turn other wise I would of had a c section. I used a birthing ball and would bounce on that alot and also went on all 4's bum in the air with head leaning down. This all worked and he turned in time but was a horrible feeling with he turned.

Breech at 32 wks and 90th percentile for weight. Turned by 36wks - phew! Consultant said gentle exercise and that seems to have done the trick.

30 wk check today and breech AND I've got the feet in my groin also, which makes for some uncomfortable kicks!!! So I feel your pain Confused I've been booked to come back at 35 weeks to check, but midwife wasn't worried. There's still lots of time. I just plan to swim or walk as much as possible, get on the birthing ball and check out spinning babies for other tips!
