3 positive first response, 2 early Boots negative and a negative CB digital... HELP

As above! I don't know what to think. AF is due today. I've had 3 faint lines on all 3 FR but both boots early completely nothing and a 'not pregnant' on CB digital.

So frustrating...

Stop pissing on sticks and try again in 3 days if AF hasn't arrived

Digital tests require a stronger concentration of HCG to show as positive - I didn't get a positive result on them until a week after my first response showed a faint line. Boots - it depends on how sensitive the tests are, I know Boots do early response type tests but I think the usual ones may be less sensitive too. Chances are you're FRER are right - they pick up the at a really sensitive threshold. I'd wait a few days and take another FRER, and if a normal strength positive, then jobs a goodun!

Here's a closer pic - I thought they were grey looking on above photo. But some pink on this

They're positive... Flowers

Nichola2310 · 28/01/2018 15:48

That looks the same as mine did, and I’m 8 weeks now!!

DeedeeJ1 · 28/01/2018 15:50

Are you sure ladies? Just confused as the boots test says 'test up to 5 days early' and got nothing. I know I'm being a bit OTT with the tests but this has never happened and I'm so scared! I want to speak to family for support but don't want to give them false hope x

@DeedeeJ1 all those frer's are defo BFP . I'm also really bad for peeing on sticks.. all i can suggest is try and keep yourself busy and TRY and wait at least 2 days to try another test. Try not to stress too much

Kkk87 · 28/01/2018 15:54

And I've heard from many people that CB isn't quite as sensitive

DeedeeJ1 · 28/01/2018 15:57

Thanks @Kkk87 - it's driving me mad! Getting one result bfp and then another bfn. I will wait and do another FRER on Tuesday/weds! Spent a fortune ha

Well this is why early testing isn't a good idea. Leave it alone now! Those tests look positive to me and no amount if retesting will make a difference. It either will be ok or it won't.

student26 · 28/01/2018 16:04

When I tested I used the cheap Savers tests. £1 for 3! They showed up pretty strong after I was three days late. (Got my eight month old sleeping on me right now!) So they might be ok for you now? But the best thing really is to wait, even though it's so hard!

MinnieMousse · 28/01/2018 16:10

They're positive, although presumably it is very early days. Pink dye tests usually show up before blue dye or digital. Congratulations Smile

DeedeeJ1 · 28/01/2018 16:30

Thanks for the helpful advice - those saying to stop testing is slightly insensitive and easy to say when you're not in this position. SmileSmile

They are definitely positive, give it a day or two and you'll get positive on the clear blue digital as well. I know how hard it is to accept faint positives, but they are definitely positive. I did 7 first response and 3 digital before I finally believed it.

mindutopia · 28/01/2018 18:00

Those frer are definitely positive but they still look fairly early. I would say mine weren’t darker than that until a day after af due (they were completely negative at 10 dpo). I’m 38 weeks now so obviously very pregnant. I would try again with frer tomorrow and try not to stress about it unless that just disappears.

JJPP123 · 28/01/2018 18:05

Telling you to stop.testing isn't at all unsensitive. It's the best advice you've received.

Foggymist · 28/01/2018 18:10

They are very clearly positive.

southboundagain · 28/01/2018 18:16

The other reason that more testing (at least today) isn't so likely to be helpful is that HCG concentrations are strongest in the morning so some tests need you to use morning wee:

NorthernLurker · 28/01/2018 20:02

I don't get why it's insensitive? You aren't going to get any helpful information from testing, you have positive tests. You just need to wait. And that's the same for every woman in the early stages of pregnancy.

DeedeeJ1 · 28/01/2018 20:21

@NorthernLurker I wasn't asking for advice of how many tests to take or why it's not a good idea to test early. I was asking for advice on if anyone has been in my situation before or if they know much about getting two completely separate results. As you can see most people gave me their thoughts on that, I think it's insensitive to tell someone what they're doing is wrong when all I'm doing is asking for help. Thanks for your comments though.

I got a definite positive on a frer and a not pregnant on clear blue digital the same day the following day the clear blue digital was positive.
