Hi. Planning for the year ahead/life! Wondering how long it took you to conceive?
I took clomid last time as I was anovulatory (PCOS). Twins 2 in May. Don’t want to leave a large age gap. Deciding when to TTC...

11 months I also have twins - they are turning 2 in April!

MumJ21 · 20/01/2018 23:36

6 days! Hubby says we can’t have no2 until DD is at least 3 but I wanted them closer together than that!

madhamsters · 20/01/2018 23:46

First time 15months
Second time one night 😬

neversleepagain · 20/01/2018 23:49

First month and twins. They are 5.5 now.

HangingRock · 20/01/2018 23:50

Usually only 1 or 2 months but i had three first tri miscarriages so it took over a year before i got pregnant with dc1 who stuck. With dc2 it took 3 months

DramaAlpaca · 20/01/2018 23:50

Similar to madhamsters - first time 11 months, second time one night Grin

Dippydodah · 20/01/2018 23:50

Do you ‘know’ when you’re ready? I still feel like we are in the thick of it with the twins but if we do go again, I’d rather sooner than later. But I feel extremely lucky as I am, maybe I shouldn’t be greedy. Such a big decision.

Dippydodah · 20/01/2018 23:51

Another pcos victim here as well.
14 months without a period
Finally seen by doctor period arrived on the same day naturally.
Prescribed clomid
1st cycle didn’t work.
Took 2nd cycle off aswas apart from husband period never arrived
2nd cycle on clomid and right now I’m 29 w pregnant

However , my sister suffers from pcos as well , no period for months like me and clomid hasn’t worked neither for her she’s going through stronger treatment now.

With this I mean you can’t compare yourself with others , that’s something I’ve learnt. Pcos makes it much more difficult and you can’t expdxt to work on the 1st night or maybe yes ? And also just because one treatment worked for one doesn’t mean it’ll work for another person or even same person will get pregnant with same treatment again.

It was very very quick I know that much. And I knew right away thanks to immediate hives, headaches and nausea!!! Best of luck.

Mummyloves09 · 21/01/2018 08:00

First cycle so around 5 days

MillieMoodle · 21/01/2018 08:03

Ttc for 28 months for baby 1, now age 16 months (including 2 early mc 1 month and 4 months before we were lucky with no 1). Baby 2, 1 month. I think it took the previous pregnancy to wake my body up so it knows what it’s doing. Still early days, only 5+6 but fingers crossed. We really wanted a 2 year age gap and it fits in well with my work, as in, I feel less bad that I will have been back at work for 10 months before going off again (I don’t have the type of job you can just dip in and out of) plus it means I’ve earned a little money before being off work again. Both September babies Smile

When it comes to timing it’s hard to know what’s right, dp is currently not working and I’ve just had a full year off so probably not seen by the outside world as perfect timing but for me it is due to my age etc.

Best of luck

DC1- five months.
DC2-One shag. Literally Grin

Katurah · 21/01/2018 08:08

12 months for DS. I had the same debate as you and figured as DS took so long we'd start in the July when he was 8 months. Caught first month but lost that baby at 9 weeks. We then conceived again the first month after my miscarriage and now have DD - I have a 21 month age gap. First 12 weeks were very hard work (didn't help my DD had viral meningitis at 17 days) but now they are a bit older (2.2 and 5 months) it's just lovely. My little boy adores his sister. She is a very easy baby though!

ClareB83 · 21/01/2018 08:15

First cycle - twins.

Longleggedlovely · 21/01/2018 08:40

6 years after numerous rounds of fertility treatment, due in 5 weeks. Life doesn’t always work to a plan.

RosaBaby2 · 21/01/2018 09:32

First time took over a year, second was 6(ish) days.

Kidsandfarmers · 21/01/2018 09:35

First time was literally within the first month
Second was 9 months

EveryoneTalkAboutPopMusic · 21/01/2018 09:38
