Hi. Planning for the year ahead/life! Wondering how long it took you to conceive?
I took clomid last time as I was anovulatory (PCOS). Twins 2 in May. Don’t want to leave a large age gap. Deciding when to TTC...

AyeAyeFishyPie · 21/01/2018 09:40

Three nights. The BFP was a bit of a shock!

NC1990 · 21/01/2018 10:14

10 months in total, and 3rd month on clomid as I have PCO and irregular cycles. DD only 10 weeks old and already I'm worried it will take ages to conceive baby no.2 😬

Coffee3 · 21/01/2018 13:08

First pregnancy took 9 months, ended in mc during first trimester, second pregnancy first month of trying again; which is 12 months after we first started trying- fingers crossed this one sticks 🤞🏻

EsmeeMerlin · 21/01/2018 13:12

With ds1 it took 11 months.

With ds2 it took the only night in a month we did actually dtd. We were not trying at all.

harrietm87 · 21/01/2018 13:20

6 cycles, conceived 3 times in that time and lost 2 of them. 3rd one stuck.

Uhohmummy · 21/01/2018 19:12

DCs 1 and 2 - first month of trying
DC3 - surprise baby! Wink

Ihatemarmite123 · 21/01/2018 19:42

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 21/01/2018 19:43

VapersNest · 21/01/2018 19:46

First cycle at 27
Third cycle at 29
Second cycle at 30
First cycle at 36

Been very lucky!

Wowzel · 21/01/2018 19:48

First cycle, which was a bit of a surprise to us

CuppaTea86 · 21/01/2018 19:50

6 cycles before a bfp (age 29)
15 weeks today Smile

We had a month when (copper) coil came out and we were casually not preventing rather than trying, then I think it was a grand total of 5 weeks of regular dtd (every 2-3 days) . I found out about 7 days before period due so must have ovulated reasonably early.

Think we were incredibly lucky as GP told me the average couple takes 8 months to conceive.

ifIwasinvisiblewaitIalreadyam · 21/01/2018 20:00

I met my partner on the 3rd August and found out I was pregnant on the 22nd Sept, and I was 5 weeks pregnant (DS is 4 in may)...then when DS was 5 months old we decided to try again and a month later I found out I was having DS2 who will be 3 in August. So now we've decided to wait a long while before trying again since he only has to look at me funny and I get pregnant lol. And a LOT of family members have started having multiples (and my mum is a twin too) so hells nah is it happening yet for us lol!! Two babies in 15 months is plenty for me right now lol. X

lozdaniellexxx · 22/01/2018 11:41

I came off the mini pill half way through my honeymoon in Disney and came back pregnant so not long at all Smile xx

florafoxtrot · 22/01/2018 13:35

18 months - we were at the stage of seeking treatment.

Currently 9 weeks

ghostbusters · 22/01/2018 14:06

#1 took 26 months, got pregnant on cycle 8 of clomid.
#2 was first 'go' off contraception Wink beige we started TTC properly.

2 months

thecatfromjapan · 22/01/2018 14:13

I didn't take anything/have IVF.

2 years for first; about 5 years for second.

Good luck. Smile

KittyKK · 22/01/2018 14:15

1st pregnancy - 1st month (MMC)
2nd pregnancy - 1st month
3rd pregnancy - 1 night (surprise!)

KittyKK · 22/01/2018 14:17

Wanted to add that I took royal jelly and evening primrose oil capsules for a few weeks before conceiving, which I’m sure helped

FluffyDavis · 22/01/2018 14:25

1st month for all 4 of mine, sent dh off for the snip a month after dc4 was born!

Potteryprincess30 · 22/01/2018 14:25

Both times first month off birth control.

Stopped taking my pill and that month got pregnant with the first. Then with my second (8 years later and due in just over a month) I didn't go back for my depo injection which I had been on for 7 years and the next month fell pregnant Smile

Iwantaunicorn · 22/01/2018 14:40

5 years no joy, 1st round of ivf was successful. No actual reason for not conceiving, just one of those things!
